Hi,
During the procedure of unrooting my phone, i notice that the bootloader now has a status RELOCKED.
I was wondering if theres a method out there that will change the status to LOCKED instead of RELOCKED.
I need it to be locked cause i have to send me phone back for warranty as its not charging full even with a diff batt/charger/cable/power point.
Hope you Gurus will be able to help me out.
Please advice...:fingers-crossed:

Well i reckon that was what i did. i ran the below RUU.
RUU_VIVO_ICS_35_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_4.10.707.1_Radio_20.74.30.0833U_3831.18.00.11_M_release_266513_signed
But i still got RELOCKED status.
Was wondering if HTC will void my warranty if i send me phone in with RELOCKED status.

go into android development and go to fallen suicidals thread the all in one noob downgrade thing, theres a link to a ruu in there and you pretty much wanna do what that says except the s off part. you will downgrade and run a ruu then gets it back to gingerbread with hboot 1.16 it will be locked and htc should accept it

I know that if you can get a Windows Vitual machine running on Mac you can do it.
Then when the RUU is running you can search for the ROM
Check it out. I know if you use the HTC one AIIO toolkit you can flash the extracted data to your device. Even the recovery.img from a stock RUU.
Let me know how you get on

Lock the bootloader with revone and flash a RUU (European or WWE), like this one http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1...13323127-1031113105-release-310878-signedexe/, then run revone and remove tampered message (if you have that) in bootloder but i would keep S-Off if i we`re you forever.

Unfortunately it comes up with this, and then fails at updating a while later. Turns out my hboot is 1.54 so I can't use revone right?
I remember there is a method of tricking the ruu in to thinking the device is older.if I'm not mistaken it's the changing of the cid
But someone would need to verify that one

You probably need S-Off for that right? I'm on the 1.54 hboot and the s-off method only works on 1.44 I think.
The thing is, I just noticed factory reset did not remove root.. So i'll try to unroot it first and then run the update agaib.

Where was the phone purchased and what was the carrier? It's possible your CID was changed.
Assuming htc__001 is correct, the RUU collection is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860
There are no RUUs for 4.2, so this would mean downgrading. But you should then start getting OTAs.
Note that running a RUU will fully wipe the phone. So back up anything on it you want to keep.

You have superCID, which means any RUU will run. You have the generic European model. CIDGetter is pulling the original cid from some system file, but it doesn't reflect the actual cid.

That is a bit trickier and riskier since you don't know what was done to your phone before you bought it. I don't recommend going back to s-on because of this. However, running the correct RUU should put you back to safe stock.
Once the RUU has run and you've confirmed that the phone boots and is back to a stable stock configuration, you need to reboot and run a series of commands in fastboot:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
This will restore your stock CID. Note that there are two underscores there.
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Confirm on your bootloader screen that the CID is correct.
fastboot oem lock
This will relock your bootloader. Reboot again and confirm that it says "LOCKED" on your bootloader (Not "RELOCKED"). Boot up your phone and confirm that everything seems to be running correctly. You may want to give this a few days. Then reboot to bootloader when you're comfortable with it.
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
This will put you back to s-on. When you reboot from here, your bootloader should say LOCKED and S-ON as if it was out of the box.

You need to s-off first or it will say "RELOCKED" on the bootloader. Problem is you may or may not be able to s-off right now. There is a new T-Mo exploit that supposedly works but I know nothing about it.
Once you do that, you can run an older RUU, which will remove the TAMPERED from the bootloader, then relock and s-on as described above.

Crap. Hi guys,
After few months with my HTC One rooted and unlocked (running the Google developer edition 4.3), I wanted to unroot my phone (especially to use Barclay's app which doesn't work if the phone is rooted).
after a "fastboot oem lock", I have an "***Security warning ***" at boot. I know that I have to install everything using a RUU file, but when I try to, I've got another error message which say something like "can't install, hboot older".
Tried everything since few days and can't make it work. Any idea would be appreciated!
More details about my phone:
HTC One EE mobile UK (unbranded)
HBOOT-1.54.0000
Radio-4A.17.3250.14

You get this because you are s-off. However being s-off is not voiding your warranty since a lot of phones leave the factory in s-off state. Mine is s-off as well and I didn't have a problem when I sent it to the repair center

technically, it shouldn't, some phones, ship s-off straight from the factory, and there's no real way of proving it didnt. (unless you kept nandroids or other stuff on your phone), and i doubt they will look for that, cause they have to SU for that.
a few (only a couple) posts i've seen around, said that the repair center said S-Off is not under warranty, but that's just because they were taking the easy way out of a free repair.
IMHO
PS: the "Tell HTC" is about error reporting, when your phone crashes, not during normal use

Hey all,
I'm trying to get my phone back to my carrier's stock but I'm running into some issues.
I can't use a RUU because I have one of the "Whelp" non-s-off phones. Most guides on here as well require you to have s-off to do.
Any idea's on how to bring a S-ON'd phone back to stock?
Thanks,
Basttrax

you can still use a RUU if it's the same version of your current software or newer

I'm getting to the point with the RUU that the screen goes to the black HTC screen. Then I get a "HTC_Fastboot.exe has crashed" error.
