Hey guys, since I don't get an answer in the dev thread I'm just gonna ask right here.
I'm currently using Nik's Aura Rebirth and when I open a conversation in the stock message app, all the messages are kinda bouncing or sth like that like 7 times (about 5sec). It is reaally annoying because it's nearly impossible to write a text while this weird stuff is goin on. But I don't wanna wait every time til it stops, so is any1 here facing this issue too and has a fix for that??
I used that rom for a while and didn't faced that issue. Try wipe and re-install. Or try new Roms

I've already tried all the easy things, what do u think? And I'm having this issue on every Sense 4a ROM... Weird...
I've been on aura since it came out and I've never had a single issue. Most stable Rom out there tbh. Try superwipe script from ARHD then reflash. Don't back up messages etc just start a fresh.

same here.. ive been using it for a while and no such issue...
if the issue persist, probably try 3rd party messaging app? (in case you still want to use nik aura)
i guess the majority of issues come from flashing new rom without full wipe
i always do a full wipe before flashing new rom, i rarely faced weird issues.
I always do full wipes... Maybe it's because I restore my messages with the app "SMS Backup & Restore"? Gotta try after deleting everything...
EDIT: Just before deleting everything I noticed that the problem is gone?! Don't really now what fixed it but I changed sth in settings. That could be it... Whatever, problem solved

Apparently other people have commented in the market as well. Reflashed. Reinstalled. Please help!
I know im not the only one having this problem. People check!
I too am having this very same problem. What makes it worse is I'm on the stock 2.2 rom straight from HTC after a repair (just got it back today, it came preloaded with 2.2). I installed flash from the market, and bam. Nothing.
Very fishy.
I just switched roms and walls. This is about to be a mojor problem. I'm running cm6rc3. Wtf is going on?!
Make sure in the browser, the 'Enable plug-in' option is not set to off.
We are not stupid buddy. This is a real problem..
Checked, no problems, watched a couple of Flash videos. Running Enomther.

If you don't believe me go to the market in the comment section under flash. There a ton of people with the same problem. The pproblem only happens when u have a full wipe and reinstall flash. No noob here. Something is wrong

I just got my magic to nexus one upgrade and I too am having problems with flash.
Downloaded and installed through market
Plugins is enabled in the browser settings.
Tried reinstalling several times
Running stock android 2.2 vodafone rom
I've flashed several roms and its the same across the board. Its either flash or the browser. This sucks! Anyone help? You can't clear cache or settings on flash.
the one from the market doesn't work.
manually downloaded the apk from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=756531 and its working again
Possibly the apk in the Market got corrupted??
Someone should report it to Adobe/Google.
why not try an alternative browser. I doubt it'll work but its one simple troubleshooting step.
I went on there website and sent them an email I will post the reply when I get it

Since I'm too new here to post in the Dev section, the simple solution to fix google maps crashing issue is to downgrade to version 6.9.2. I can't tell you the technical reason why 6.11.1 won't work other than from what I've read, it has something to do with HTC. I was running VI and maps was rebooting my phone. I'm running wajee's ROM v1.6 now and maps would also reboot my phone, so it wasn't a specific rom or a specific kernel as the different roms use different kernels, so it had to be the maps. I found a .apk of 6.9.2 on google and its been perfect for days now.
Now, an interesting note... My wife's vivid is stock and is running 6.11.1 with no issues, so maybe its the base these custom roms are built on? I don't know!
So downgrade to 6.9.2 for now and you'll be fine.

thanks for this mate, i was reading around cuz a few guys running similar custom ROMs have experience this. i will quote you on the DEV section and let the others know.
Just tried the newest version of maps that came out today (9/19/12 or 19/09/12 for my worldly friends) and still crashing and burning. going back to 6.9.2

I'm using the Darkraider ROM and I have yet to see the Maps crashing issue. What are you doing when it crashes? I looked about 5 or 6 addresses with no issues this morning...?

nothing, thats the issue. I launch the app and without even touching it after that, the app reboots the phone within seconds. I've tried different roms and kernels, but still the same. I've cleared the cache and data from maps and still the same. I've even tried wiping the dalvik cache and nothing works, except reverting back to 6.9.2. Strange...

The issue, like u said is the base to which most custom Rooms are based of. Dark raider wouldn't b affected by that cuz its purely and entirely based of of the original 4.0 stock Rom. I have been trying to find the exact couse of the problem but I have yet not been able to. .. I will keep at it and keep u posted. And for now. We just got to stick to 6.9v of maps until this gets solve..

I love my vivid but every once in awhile it'll freeze or get sluggish and you need to reset it. So I do, but everytime I reset it, it goes to a screen saying android is updating like its downloading ics all over again? What's happening?

Lol its not downloading or reinstalling ICS all over again...
What happens is when you reboot it clears cache (too much cache can cause problems...like slow down apps) because the coach gets cleared it has to re optimize the applications
So all that's happening is the apps are getting re optimized...
If you don't want this to happen then you have to get a deodexed ROM, because this is just a feature of stock ICS roms...and stock ROMs are always odexed...but any custom ROM will be deodexed for the most part...there's a rooted deodexed stock ROM if you want to keel it stock

Oh okay. Didn't know all ics devices did that. I bought my vivid off amazon from some random dealer so I didn't know if they had screwed it up or something. Thanks

yup what mg2195 said is correct
Hi. After I rooted my phone, I didn't get any signals on my phone anymore. Only gets "No service".... Tried to wipe everything in the recovery, and such, but without any luck. This was when I was using the Stock ROM. I ended up flashing AOKP that worked, but I missed the HTC camera, and some other HTC stuff, so when HTC released it's version of Android 4.2.2, then I desided to try it again... Choose Revolution HD, so I could remove some stuff during installation, in Aroma.
But then again: No service Can connect to WiFi, but I would love to be able to call and text, so I'm very glad if someone could help me out.
Hi.
Found out that I in a way sorted out the problem; if I activate, then deactivate "Aeroplane mode", then I get service.
The strange thing is that I need to do that on each boot...
Anyone know why this happens? Have wiped. And this, as mentioned earlier, happens on both stock and Revolution HD :/

I would investigate the options of flashing an RUU it sounds like a radio issue

Probably, but isn't it strange that this happened when I rooted my phone? Then I didn't flash a new radio.... Or a new ROM. :S

this happned to me today, flashing stock 2.24. no idea how to get over it.. have you managed to do anything about it?
Nope. But I will try to go back to stock again Several times a day I have to enable/disable "aeroplane mode" because the 2G/3G network stops working, and when I reboot I don't even get a signal for GSM. Enabling/disabling aeroplane mode works each time, but so annoying!
