Just purchased the below:

Not bad for 2.99 inc postage. I'm hoping it has a sleep wake magnet seeing as it says standby in the description, but even if it doesn't it seems to be a bargain considering Amazon are selling this or similar for £7.
This is probably going to be a temporary case for me until I find something better.
Good find, might do the same.
Chances are the seller isn't really in the UK though?
D'oh! I paid almost double for the same one a couple of weeks ago.
True say, most sellers in mobile/cases/accessories are china based but have warehouses in London.

Can you confirm if it has sleep/wake functionality?
Just an update on this:
Seller confirms it isn't a smart case so would not auto sleep/wake when opened/closed.
Looks like I'll have to do some DIY when I get it.

I just ordered mine
I ordered mine the other day when I read about it in one of the other 2 Otterbox threads in this forum. Even had the same code and everything. You didn't even have to search for it before you posted this thread. It's still on the first page.
Ordered mine the other day as well. I'm curious though, i got an invoice from them telling the details of my purchase, but, I have yet to receive shipping info, nor has the money come out of my bank account. Essentially i bought the case, they said thanks for buying, and haven't heard anything since....
edit: damnit, meant to post this in the other thread.. that i already posted in

Is your phone T-MOUS? I ordered one on ebay the other day and it said on the package "fits T-Mobile Version" but when I went to install it, nope. Not at all. The seller on ebay then was no help, he just said "contact Otter" after I sent him a page long letter. I did contact Otter and now waiting on a response. A week has gone by... Not looking good.

I ordered a Commuter today from Otterbox. Found one on Amazon that says it's the US version for way less, but decided to get it from the people who made it. I can see people trying to pass their international version off to move it cheap because those aren't in high demand, then telling people to contact Otter.
Otter Box isn't going to do anything. It's the seller's responsibility. Get online and figure out the measurements of the international one and measure yours... If it's the same then he probably shipped you the wrong thing. If you paid with paypal and the dude won't do anything about it, I would get a refund through PP.
What did the packaging say? Did it specify US on the packaging?
Bought one on ebay that says TMOUS and authorized reseller. We'll see.
My best offer of $40 got autoaccepted.
For those of you with a defender series but not sure if its the euro version or us, I have found way to tell for certain which it is. On the flap that covers the charge port and headset jack, there is an imprint that states which it is. Mine says US Version on the underside of it.

The hard shell also says it on both pieces.
that is funny because I have the US version on my t-mo, and my bro has the euro version on his and the case is practically identical in every way.
Thanks for the code, the 10% worked great!
I just ordered my defender case on amazon for 33.65 with free shipping. It states that its the U.S. version. I will find out monday when i receive it.
Definitely worth it. It does state us version on the flap that covers the charging port.
Hi.
I like this phone. I have just bought one second hand and I think its a definite keeper. I think I will keep it for years and years haha
So I would like to buy a battery for the future. Now I am unsure how old the handset I bought is, so it could possibly have a 2 year old battery in it. They battery life seems ok but it may quickly deteriorate in the future.
Does anyone know of any legit places for batteries?
Cheers.
EBay.

ebay is safe just make sure it states in listing oem, new and EX34, thoroughly test upon reviving and if item is not as described initiate a return and your only out time and effort
I've seen some on eBay. All from the States. They are very cheap at about 5 UK pounds after conversion + postage costs. The cheapness got me worrying about them bring fake.
Oh I don't want to try the battery out. I will buy one and put it in the draw. I do not want to crack this phone open for fun; only if it's truly necessary. I saw the ifixit video for battery replacement and it looks a PITA. Just way too much adhesive going on. So the battery has to be legit ideally.

On Aliexpress.com with Honor 7 Case in keyword you will find many
For me, I ordered this one : http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6881366716.html for 7$
found the same on amazon for 11,99€.
Thanks for the cheaper price!
There is a possibility that metal type might affect the signal strength.

For all, Use Aliexpress.com before buy on ebay or amazon , it's same providers and prices are very low.
ebay and amazone are only resellers. ( If one day, you make your shop on ebay, I want paybacks LOL )
I have ordered often, on Aliexpress.com, and never disappointed.
Your credit card will be charged, only after shipping.
You can cancel your order during your order is in pending. ( Nice, when the dealer lie about avaibility I used this, only one time )
In fact, is Aliexpress the cashier, and he pay the provider only when the product is sent.
Do you think these cases will have any issues with swiping commands, on the official one it looks like the case is raised around the fingers sensor?
Been waiting for the s3 to come out but the price is in my view too steep (£599) so my plan was to get the T813 but it seems impossible to buy it in the UK except via Amazon. However i am reluctant to buy something this expensive from a 3rd party reseller there. Has anyone seen it sold by some more reputable seller?

I got mine Open Box on eBay for $50 less than the going rate at the time, however I saw no signs of it ever having been touched. Original factory seals were in place and it came with a 1 year parts and labor warranty, and a 60 day full refund policy both from the seller. It is now available from them for $319.99. I have had it for about four months and have never been happier with a tablet.
They shipped it immediately (free shipping) and I had it four days from the purchase date. If you are interested shoot me a PM and I will send you the info.

Thanks for the info. Can't find the store on eBay in the UK.
My main concerns about buying something like this from someone on ebay/amazing marketplace is that I'll be hung and dry if it is a problem with it.

I get that. I feel the same way, so I researched for a couple of weeks, reading feedbacks, comparing with other sales. The warranty and return policy they offer was a big selling point for me and they have a 99.7% positive feedback rating in 263396 feedbacks.
Purchased from argos
Just bought the s2 t813 from argos. Advertised as t810 but when checked in store it was the newer version. £339 if that helps.

Is it. I ordered last night the T813 from ebuyer for £344.99. if i had known I would have gone to Argos.
So I got one on amazon that was supposed to be new and a us warrantied model.
Turns out it's not a us model. Also the box wasn't sealed and Sony says that the warranty info says it would expire over a month prior to a year past my purchase date... indicating to them that it has been previously activated.
I noticed best buy occasionally has them refurbished with a 90 day geek squad warranty.
Any thoughts on which is the better option?
Thanks in adavance
I wouldn't buy a refurbished phone, but that's just me. Too bad you can't get the US version sold by Amazon anymore, and too bad that seller shafted you - looks like they are the only NEW seller on Amazon currently.
Do you have any international sellers in mind? Perhaps depending on the vendor, you could at least have some kind of return option for the worst case scenario of a DOA phone.
I hope you can get this all resolved. And partly because I'm hoping you'll share the exact steps you take to get root/fingerprint/t-mo all working on the phone so I can replicate it. Good luck.

I'm sort of leaning towards the international one, but i have my doubts that this one they sent me is new. I should have no problem flashing the modified firmware to keep the fingerprint sensor and enable wifi calling/vo-lte. I just worry about the battery lifespan mostly.
Regardless by the time I'm finished unlocking and rooting I won't be sending it in to sony for any repairs.

I would feel exactly the same. The battery unknown is a big reason why I would avoid refurbed phones. Even though you bought from a 3rd party on Amazon, you should have some protections from amazon, especially in the case where the item is not as described. Sounds like you have proof of that, so I would pursue trying to return that.
As far as where to get a replacement though, I'm not sure, unless you want to buy from a European supplier such as Clove.

Never heard of Clove. Pretty reputable? As long as exchange is good it should still come in under $400 us.
I've actually asked the amazon company if they would exchange for a sealed in box model or give me a discount since it wasn't as described. They have pretty good feedback, I just worry about the battery.
I recently got a brand new international model from Ebay.

I haven't personally used Clove, but they've been mentioned by XDA users over the years as a good source of unlocked phones. Or, like Dean says, there is always Ebay if you end up having to return your Amazon phone.

At least here in Germany the phones did not come sealed (we bought 3 phones so far) and the Warranty started at a date that was much earlier than our purchase date. Dropping an email to Sony fixed the problem
I'd get a new one, and it's not like region matters if you're planning to flash an international firmware to get the fingerprint sensor working anyway

You could buy a new one from Amazon Germany AND save some money. Then the fingerprint scanner will work out of the box.

This is a good find, but why you guys do not recommend buying used phones from Amazon? For example this one: Amazon.de blue xz1c.
I mean, the only concern would be the battery, right? Because there is no info about how much and for how long it has been used.
I am also looking for auctions on eBay.

Assuming I got a fair exchange rate it would still be right around $400 us for a new one. Even if shipping it here wasn't crazy expensive I'd still have to wait for it.
