Hello everyone, another question. I was also wondering if there's a method to change the framework-res.apk to see the weather forecast and the agenda on the lockscreen. Or if there are applications that allow you to do so.

You can use widgetlocker from market to customize your lockscreen and even add Widgets.(Widget Locker is a third party app-Lockscreen that allows you to customize your lockscreen. And it is paid.)

I was also wondering whether it is possible to directly modify the framework-res without installing other programs.

Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to have a different picture for the lockscreen and the wallpaper.....
widgetlocker lets you use a different wallpaper for the lockscreen.
Ok, do you know the same application for free if it exists? Just for the wallpaper

Anyone know of a way to get the weather on the lockscreen, without getting an extra app. I'm currently using the Epic Unlock and would like to add weather to it.
Weather bug lets u display temperature in status bar, if that helps.

Yeah, Beautiful Widgets let's me do the same. I would just like to mod my current one to include the weather from Beautiful Widgets or Fancy Widgets. I think this would be a really cool mod.
I use beautiful widgets (which you say you have, so I'm not counting it as an "extra app") I set my background to the beautiful live weather wallpaper, so that should do what you want it to I think.
If you don't want the weather as you permanent wallpaper, most custom roms will let you choose a specific wallpaper for your lockscreen.
I really like having the weather as my background as it's one of the really quick and easy way I can disgrace all the iphone folks.
Good day,
I've been using WidgetLocker but i still haven't found a Five-Point Lockscreen to be used with it.
Is it possible? Or WL do not support such lockscreen?
No WL does not support it as unlock slider.
You can make a widget though.

What a shame.
The widget idea sounds fair, although I'm not capable of making a widget out of a five-point lock
Thank you for the answer.
Is there a widget like that to be found, or it would have to be developed?
Hi guys, I would like to know if there is a way to add a widget in the lockscreen that displays the number of unread messages, and leads to them if clicked.
I mean something like on sgs2/3 stock rom (i don't remember if ace's stock had such a feature).
Thank you I'm advance.
PS: I'm on Apocalypse Rom, as my sig suggests!

I found a valid substitute in SMS Popup app, and i suggest this one to everybody: light and fully functional!

Try GO locker...it displays the number of unread messages and has shortcuts to it...and plenty of other shortcuts too...

Search play store for an app called "widget locker". It is a lockscreen replacement that allows you to design your own lockscreen, adding widgets, sliders etc. then just add one of the widgets suggested above.
let me know if this helped

Isnt the "GO" series generally known for high usage of cpu?
I have only tried GO locker when it was on beta, but not as a daily lockscreen...
Well, it doesn't no difference to my phone...performance and battery life still the same...

Buddy dont use any type of launcher except holo launcher as it saves battery next thing if u want widget for messages go to playstore hit widgets and messeging widget on lockscreen....... Or any lockscreen widget.........well enjoy buddy!!!!!!!!!
Instead of using such widgets i solved my problems with SMS pop-up app (as i wrote before). Very easy and more fast even than widgets!

Sometime, many lockscreen is not support add widget. You can download and install "Widget lockscree" from Playstore.
Anyone know how to place an application shortcut like a whatsapp contact into the dock/launcher bar? I was able to do this in stock jelly bean, but can't seem to figure this out in sense 5.

always 2 ways to do this on Android;
press and hold (on home screen and move to dock / on icon from app drawer)
click setting and choose edit
:good:
The problem is that when long pressing shortcuts from the home screen, the dock disappears making it impossible to move the app shortcut into the dock.

I understand an app can be added to the dock from the drawer, but that's not what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to add a app shortcut (i.e. a direct contact) to the dock. For whatever reason, Sense treats these shortcuts like widgets, restricting them from being added to the dock. This is frustrating as I was able to do this in stock jelly bean.
You need to go to the app drawer and then pull the application you wanna replace from the dock to the drawer. Once you have done that you will have an empty space to add the app you want to add to the dock.

I hope they have a fix in the pipeline. I can't be the only person who uses this feature.
