First thing I would do is use three button combo (hold power, volume up and home button till you see I9000 screen) to see if you have CWM recovery. If you do I will need to know what you were flashing from (rom & kernel previous to the flash you got stuck on. If you don't have recovery (please try a few times as it is tricky for some people) try try three button combo with volume down button instead of up to get into download mode so you can flash with Odin on a PC. You can search on you tube for a guide or I'll check in on this thread again to see how your doing and what your previous rom and kernel were.

hey
do you have anyother rom in your SD card??other than the one u just flashed??
Can u enter to CWM??
Try that by:
1.Remove the battery and then re-insert it
2.Hold the Volume Up+Home(Center) Button+Power button TILL your phone boots i.e;Till you see "Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000"..
If u cant, there is another way to recover your SGS...but conform that first...

thank u for trying 2 help me, yes I've a working CWR and I solved the problem, yet I'll back to stock 2.3.3(since Samsung dumped our region and we r the only how haven't got the value pack ).
I did made some many threads here and on other websites asking for a stable ICS and I've try them all but for nothing , so plz check if their any thing wrong in what I do in flashing a new Rom:
1- wipe data + cash
2- wipe devlak cash +battery state
3- go to storage and format every thing but SD card
4-flash the rom
5-sing in in my Google account than backup my contacts
6- open file manger then downloading MyBackUp Pro and restore my App's
7- sing in my FB, twitter, instgram,whatsapp,viber...
8-sync my FB contacts
9- charge my phone fully then apply battery Calibration
10- start using my phone
while after stable using(less than 24H),the notification that tells u have a low memory showed up ,also while after that FB and twitter start to force close ,than the Google Apps such Gmail & Gtalk(I even haven't use Gtalk in my life) than I got the message :the process com.google.gapps ..... force close ,also the process include the word (media) ,I turned off the phone and restart it , the phone is stack at logo, thats my story with every ICS Rom I tried

Hey
you gotto wait for sumtime before complicating the procedure...
JUST FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
(If ur on 2.3.6 Rooted)
1.download the rom and place it in ur phones SD card,
2.wipe data, then cache mem,AND if required Dalvik cache,
3.instal ZIP form SD Card>chose the zip file and click yes,
4.after flashing the rom and addons, reboot,
Wait for sumtime and finish the setup procedure...
then flash ONLY a few software which are imp to ur use
then keep the phone like that for a few days and then install ur apps...

Sorry for my bad english ...

Flash one of these with SmartFlashTool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035041
Installing this file WILL fully wipe your device, including the Internal SD. Back up!
SmartFlash for P990 is for use on Windows PCs.
Download SmartFlashTool: http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?url=mf/?ebwer79kx5abx61
Download the driver file: http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?url=mf/?0373xkigrckka7b
Download the stock ROM you need
Run the SmartFlashTool_P990.exe application on your PC
Turn device off, remove battery, plug device in while holding volume down - you should see a software update message on screen and the COM port should be filled automatically in the flash application below after installing the drivers if required.
Select the 'ROM Copy D/L' tab
Ensure 'Normal Mode' is selected
Ensure 'Erase CAL' is NOT selected
Click the browse button next to 'CP Bin:' and select the baseband (FLS) file
Click 'Start' and wait for the flash to complete

1 - Download a correct rom for your O2X in your PC and copy it to the root of a micro SD Card;
2 - Put the micro SD Card on your phone;
3 - Push power button and volume up on your phone until the LG logo with the "colors" behind appears (count to 3 and stop pressing the buttons. If doesn't work you may not have the CWM recovery installed or you are pressing the wrong buttons);
4 - When the CWM appears, use vol up or down to navigate the menus and use power button to select option;
5 - Go to "advance options" and then select wipe dalvik cache (and battery stats also);
6 - In the first menu select "wipe cache partition" and "wipe data/factory reset";
7 - Select "install ZIP from sdcard", then "choose zip from sdcard";
8 - Then you'll see the ZIP file of the rom you wish to install - select it.
9 - when finished, reboot your phone - the first time, the phone will take more time to be "operational"...
10 - DONE! (Don't forget to tank)...
Ok guys i will try the first post and i will announce you what i did ...
Cheers again !
you just have to flash your baseband again, not g2x baseband simply because g2x shares the same hardware as o2x but has different partitions, as long as you dont flash g2x stuff on your o2x again ull be fine
ok guys ... i did everything ok but the COM port is not filled ... what should i do ?
PLEASE HELP ! I REALLY NEED IT !
before trying to flash, did you install the apx drivers?
---------- Post added at 08:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:03 PM ----------
also i just remember, if you installed lg drivers before i think the pc will never recognize your phone as apx, so id recomend to use another pc without lg drivers installed, download apx drivers and then do everything again

[Q] stable custom rom for mini2?

Hi everybody,
sorry for posting this outside the mini 2 forum, but appearently that's a developers reserved forum, so I had no rights to post there.
I would like to ask what is the latest stable custom rom developed for mini2, where to find it and possibly an instruction page.
I had good experience with CM on another galaxy before, so I checked on the the CM website first but mini 2 is not listed there
On the other end I saw a long post on the mini2 developers forum saying that CM10 was actually created, but the post is 91 pages long(!), so forgive me if I didn't read it all. Is it working?
I also checked if there was something like an "in evidence" post with instructions for newbies but couldn't see any, maybe I missed it.
Can someone point me to the right page?
thank you for your held
davide
mm in the meantime I screwed things up. I installed gapps and now it only boots in recovery mode...
why? what shall I do?
please help
thank you
davide
ok, now I'm starting to panic.
why does nobody answer, am I doing something wrong with this post?
I reinstalled the stock rom. I first tried using CWM recovery and selecting install zip file from sd card, but it didn't work: it told me BAD regarding the zip file (downloaded from sammobile), then I succeded using odin. by the way which is the correct method?
However it now seems to start, but I get in loops messages from the setupwizard that says the guided configuration has crashed and also from gapps that Google service Framework has crashed (but should gapps be wiped by the rom flash???).
the problem is that the first of the two keeps restarting and crashing so the phone doesn't do anything else then showing this messages.
please help
davide
After you flash Stock ROM via Odin. Remove battery, put it back. Boot into stock recovery - clear user data & cache and reboot. If the same error occurs try deleting /Android directory(old cache) in your sd card.
thank you for your reply, unfortunately it didn't help.
what do you mean by "stock recovery"? the recovery I see, I believe is CWM which I installed before, but I'm not sure.
anyhow from there I wiped user&cache but I had tried this before and removing teh battery didn't make a difference.
I do not have any /Android directory on my SD card.
it's a simple 4GB fat 32 partition with a single file in it (the zip with stock rom I tried to flash before using odin) and nothing else.
by the way, I used odin3 v.1.83 to flash and I selected the file using PDA button,
but I also have "bootloader", "phone" and "csc" options.
what is the difference?
everything I do makes it more dramatic!
I tried reapeating the whole procedure once again, and odin crashed while flashing teh rom. now it doesn't even boot in download mode, it simply asys to connect kies in recovery mode. but kies never saw my phone in spite of driveres reinstallation, and it is of course not seeing it now!!

you should terminate kies before using odin. You can kill it in task manager, because kies intereferes with ODIN.
You should'nt be concerned with bootloader and the other options. As long as ur downloaded stock has tar.md5 extension you just place it in the PDA section and select Auto reboot and F. Reset time only.
Also You should only disconnect when it says PASS otherwise u will brick ur phone.
When u success fully flash ur stock rom, the chance is it will not get to homescreen
So u remove battery, reinsert it, press and hold HOME button together with POWER button, the phone boots into stock recovery, you choose wipe data and cache, then reboot. (chemicalrage explained this)
If it ain't booting into download mode u should go to service centre.
PS: My advice is to stay away from custom roms until samsung releases jelly bean for mini 2, then better custom roms will be released.

[Q] updated without rooting!!!!

hello guys!
don't know if any one have done this before but am sure i did something really stupid!
here i have a galaxy s plus
and i tried to update it to jelly bean!
and just went to "Echn!kan"
and followed the steps ...
but i still get back to the booting menu
and tried it lots of times but nothing happened
and thin i read some where that i should root the system before doing any thing !!!
and that's what i didn't do!!!
so now i have a really a empty phone!!!
dose any one have an idea to solve this?????
Can you tell me exactly which steps you followed and what the current situation of your phone is?
As far as I know you don't need to be rooted before you flash another ROM.
You're saying "but i still get back to the booting menu", do you mean that every time you turn on the phone you end up in the recovery? In that case you are experiencing a simple bootloop which can be solved in a couple of minutes.
u need to have cwm recovery before flashing roms . stock recovery wont work , i think u ended up in a bootloop ... did u made a backup ??
flashing with odin through downlod mode will solve ur problem

this is the steps i followed!
-----------------------------
Before you Proceed –>>
Make sure you have Samsung Galaxy S Plus with model number i9001 only. Trying this tutorial on a different device may eventually brick your device.
You need to have Recovery Image installed on your device. If not then check out How To Install Clockwork Mod Recovery On Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9001.
Backup all your personal information on your device.
Use AppBak to backup all your apps.
Use SMS Backup and Restore to backup messages.
You can backup your contacts using gmail .
Charge your device battery with atleast 75% of power.
Make sure that you have device drivers installed for your Samsung Galaxy S Plus. If not, then download them from here.
Enable USB Debugging mode. Go to Options > Applications > Development > USB Debugging.
How To Update Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001 To Android Jelly Bean 4.1 | CM10 ROM
First you need to download the Cyanogen Mod 10 Rom file and Google apps package and save it to a convenient folder on your PC.
Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.
Copy the downloaded file on the internal SD card of your phone.
Now turn off your phone and boot your phone into recovery mode.
Now to get in the Recovery Mode, press and hold Volume Up + Home buttons together until recovery mode screens turns up.
Now select ‘ Wipe data/Factory reset ‘ and confirm on the next screen by pressing power button.
Now select ‘ Wipe cache ‘ and confirm by pressing power button.
Now select ‘ Advanced –> Wipe Dalvik cache ‘ and confirm by pressing power button .
Then select ‘ Flash ZIP From SD Card ‘ and then select Choose ZIP From SD Card and browse to the CyanogenMod 10 Rom zip file that you copied to your device’s SD card in step 3. Select the file and confirm by pressing power button. The installation will start.
Once the installation is finished, install the google apps package by following step 9.
When you finish installing google apps package, select ‘ Go back ‘ and select ‘ Reboot system now ‘.
Now your device will boot with the whole new Look and feel of Jelly Bean 4.1.
---------------------------------
and i meant with getting back to the menu that when i finish installing the rom and google apps i get back to the recovery menu as nothing happend!!!
and now i was disparately trying to backup the system and same nothing changes!!!
is my phone dead ?!!

Relax, we'll be able to get your phone up and running again!
As pretty much everyone so far was already thinking, you're probably just experiencing a bootloop. This is only a minor issue, I've had it too. Just follow the instructions you find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24831012&postcount=1330
If all goes well, your phone should start up in normally again. If you have any more questions just let us know.

Help, don't know how to reinstall OS

Hello to all,
I have some issues with my samsung galaxy s advance i9070 working with stock JB JZO54K.I9070XXLQE. With the rooted phone, I wanted to install CWM and followed the procedure, as I entered in recovery mode and accessed the first .zip file. It started to install. Next step was to press the home screen button and touch the display till the screen will show the new recovery interface. But nothing happened. I forgot to mention that I did wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache before starting anything.
My phone started normaly but it seems something wrong happened as it was showing some errors about google apps and almost all google apps disappeared. I shut down system and try again the same procedure, but still nothing happened. Same errors...so I wanted to flash the JB 4.1.2 stock ROM with Odin to get rid of those errors. So after I downloaded from sammobile the firmware, flash it, everything went ok till the phone had to reboot...it remained at the black screen showing the samsung i9070 white logo. I waited for Odin to show pass and disconected. Tried to restart but nothing happens. Still that black screen showing the samsung i9070 white logo. I reflash it second time with Odin using other JB 4.1.2 stock ROM. The problem is the same.
What can I do ? How can I fix the problem? I can enter only in download mode.
I'm new with the android OS. Pls help !

Try to wipe cache and do factory reset now again.
Flash again stock firmware with Odin, if you are able to enter ONLY in download mode. Download again stock firmware and compare the dimensions of files to see if there any difference.
Maybe you flashed a corrupt file.

Hey...I've finally managed to flash it with stock JB and the system starts normaly...You were right about the dimension of the firmware package, thanks a lot. That's one part of the problem solved. The other part of it is that the phone still refuses to go into recovery mode. What is to be done now ?
Is there a way of flashing with Odin a Recovery Mod ? CWM ?
Turn off the phone, pull out the battery for few seconds and after that press in the same time buttons : Power + Volume Up + Home.
Remember IN THE SAME TIME must press all three buttons and wait until you feel a short vibration.

I have read all the pages, but it dosen't says anything about partitions..It means the memory card should be a normal fat32 partition ?
Sorry, but you must ask in that thread. I don't use that setting and don't know to much about.
I have solved it like this : made a single FAT32 partition. Installed the .zip for change memory, reboot and now my device is showing my 32Gb memory card as internal memory and also installing apps on it. I noticed that some apps or part of them still go in the system partition (not USB storage) cause it fills some of that space too.

Problem with my s3 mini GT-I8190 reboot every 20 or 30 seconds

I wonder if anyone happened to this and can help me.. the warranty is lost
thanks
First thing is to see if stock firmware in odin can help.

After that, flash with a new rom like Cyanogenmod 10.2 from Maclaw and revert with the difference, maybe the problem will be fixed..

Hey Brother,
Very Welcome, yes i've seen the videos, try to mount the internal sdcard with android recovery and copy the twrp recovery, or use another phone and copy the twrp file onto external SD Card, there's an option on recovery called update.zip flash with it,
if there's no change at all, try to flash it with ODIN.. if it don't recognize due to absence of USB Debugging, there's a tool called Samsung GS3 Mini ToolKit. maybe can help you. if not try with samsung KIES .. if also nothing helped you at this point, search around the internet for your problem, maybe you can find some useful help..

actually its really simple to solve this problem...
1 - download and install the samsung drivers from here (http://get.maclaw.pl/?id=61)
2 - download odin here and install it.
3 - reboot your pc (this is the easy way to kill all kies processes and unwanted things) and make shure that kies dont start with windows.(if you have it installed)
4 - download this http://get.maclaw.pl/?id=301 (its the maclaw cm 4.4.2 for odin with the recovery twrp)
5 - flash the phone with odin(FOR THIS YOU NEED TO BOOT THE PHONE IN DOWNLOAD MODE, just boot the phone pressing POWER+VOLUME DOWN AND THE HOME BUTTON until a triangle and a warning appears follow maclaws guide -> http://maclaw.pl/installation-guide-golden/)... as soon as the flash finishes you'll be trapped in a boot loop (missing GAPPS)
just try to boot it the system should crash dont worry you're on the good way.
5.2 - remove the battery and put it back in (now you phone should be off)
6 - reboot on the new recovery that comes with the maclaw Rom you've just flashed for that you need to press POWER + VOLUME UP AND HOME BUTTON and mount you SD CARD.(you phone sould appear on you pc as a storage device or something like that)
7 - download this GAPPS here(http://get.maclaw.pl/?id=164)
8 - copy the downloaded GAPPS to you phone.
9 - go back to the 1st menu of the TWRP (a.k.a recovery) and you should see a thing saying install zip or flash zip (something like that)
9.2 - select the Gapps you've downloaded and flash it.
9.3 - after the flash finish select reboot system
9.4 - phone should start installing updates after the reboot
10 - wait until it finishes and the problem should be solved. now you can go back to the stock rom or stay with this rom.
the problem here is there's an app causing that problem. i had the same problem a few months ago.
the phone whould just crash or not function at all, rebooting all the time or from time to time...(it was one of the games i've installed from market)
after the phone is working dont install apps from unknow developers. even if it is from the market (believe wen i say you can get apps from the market that makes you're phone to malfunction).
