Hi guys,
I bought a second hand P1000 tablet and changed its battery to a new one.
Im using Android Open Kang Project (AOKP)
it takes 8-9 hours of charging tfor the icon to show "full charge", is this normal?
Mine usually 3-4 hr.
Did you get the original charger? 2A rated?

Sorry for the caps, my question is whats the average battery use of your gingerbread galaxy tab. Yesterday i charged my tab over night and ran it all day long. My battery status screen stated i actually ran it on battery power 11hrs 10mins!
But before that when i first flashed the gingerbread rom i got max 6-7hrs worth.
What battery use are you guys getting from the new rom?

So far 2 days 7 hours and 35 minutes and still have 44% left.

I flashed mine at the weekend on a full charge and its still reporting 64% that's with around 1.5hrs light use and 3G running 24/7.
Same here. Sunday afternoon it got jq1 plus cf root, overcome 2.0.0 beta2 then touchwiz4, wifi been on since as hve all data conections through 3g. Kids have been playin games for 2-3 hours aswell as 2-3 hours browsing, media player and i watched a 2 hour film sunday night

Gingerbread is incredible, battery life and browser are so much better.
The browser in the tab now is better than any Honeycomb tablet I tried too.
Seamingly my tab has a problem, as I get around 5 hours of continous usage, not more. this does not serve for a full day, unfortunately. It is more or less same as on froyo. I am using Overcome v2.0. Launcher Pro, imo.im messenger, push mail. That's it. No other widgets or actualisatons. Unhappy
Try resetting battery stats on full charge cycle if there's nothing listed as being a battery hog in the monitor?
I've been using mine all day on Wifi and am still at 64 percent used. Its almost as good as my 10.1 GT-P7510 Galaxy Tab which has a 7000mah LiPoly battery.

Usually doing 2-3 charging cycles does the trick (fully deplete battery and then charge until full).

Hey folks! I have recently started observing that my phone is consumimg excessive battery. I really cant seem to understand the cause, but for sure, I know there is an issue unknown to me. As I can see and observe, the situations I've faced are as follows:
1. When fully charged and unplugged, usage on wi-fi, screen on and some music leads to empty battery in almost 2 hours sharp.
2. When fully charged and unplugged, wi-fi off, sync off, GPS off, data off and literally everything off including the screen, then from 100% charge to 25% charge in 8 hours.
3. When I use the phone, as mentioned in point 1, suppose the phone discharges from 100% to say 60% in 40 minutes, the thing I do is turn the screen off. Then as soon as I do this, the battery level rises up until I turn the screen on again. Funny! :/ xD
4. Now the final case is this. When I turn of the phone at suppose 20%( probably unreal charge stats), connect it to a charger, and then while connected, switch on the phone, the phone gets charged up to like 50% or so. Epic fail!
5. Oh I almost forgot, battery usage charts show Android OS consuming 40-85% of the charge at all times in which the wakelock stats are an alarming 3-4 hours as per the 2nd point. Screen consumes 30% of the charge and Android System follows
I am posting my battery usage screenshots here.
1. The first screenshot was the one before I rebooted at 20% charge. Look at the roller coaster battery stats. XD
2. The second screenshot is the one showing all the stupid processes consuming excess battery.
3. Observe the difference towards the extreme right of the third screenshot and the first one. The third screenshot was the one after I rebooted. There is a long white line at the right end of the third one which shows the rise of battery charge from 20% to 56% precisely. Bloody hell!!
:/
Kindly, anyone who feel that they can help, look into this matter and suggest me good options to follow.

Two more screenshots!
Just look at the time at which each screenshot was taken and compare the stats Yourself. This **** is freaking me out each day.
LOL and the charge was at 19% at 00:33. At 56% at 00:39 and now at 82% at 01:15. Highly quick charge and discharge. what do I do?

Mention your rom and kernel.

Umm the screenshots are from the Xperian UI ROM. I dont know which kernel it is, but the screenshot here can help You maybe. But but but, I faced the same problem of excessive battery drain even on the official 2.3 ROM of LG. Every ROM is having the same effect more or less.

I think ths is because of the xperia apps. I remember when i used optimusZ by eminent. The drain was high, even when i removed it. Check your wakes with betterbatterystats

Well You are right about Xperia apps. The Facebook inside Xperia extensions suck up the battery. But that is just a part of the story for me. I've been having the same amount of consumption in almost all the ROMS I've tried so far.

Hi guys, I've moved from stock GB to cm10 and then Mackay.
In both cases my sgs battery charge indicator never goes above 96% after a full charge (plugged in up to 8 hours!!!).
When I was on stock GB it was always correctly charging up to 100%...
Does anybody know how to solve this anomaly?
Thank you!

I read something about for I9001..
Do you charge in power-off mode? You should try to do like that, then turn on the phone, re-join it to the battery charger, wait for the 100% and a quarter of hour after unplug the phone. In that way the battery should reset.
Alternative way is downloading an app from the store to re-calibrate the battery. Search on market like 'battery'

My NOOK still runs stock rom and the software has been updated to 2.1.1. I set 30% brightness and only use it for browsing Internet.
I always turn the Wi-Fi off when I don't use this tablet. But I only got 4 hour battery life from full charge. Is it normal?
That sounds too low. Is it new or refurbished?

Thanks for your reply. My NOOK HD+ was new, not refurbished.
I only installed some apps, as nova launcher, es file explorer and Dolphin browser.
Do you have any idea to improve or recalculate battery?
If you're talking 4hrs of continuous use non-stop it doesn't sound too far off. But if you aren't doing that, which I'm imagining you aren't, it seems low.
How long have you had it? If it's only been a couple days then your battery is still calibrating and will get better.

Run a battery app to see what is using the battery. You could have an application that is keeping the nook from sleeping. You should get better than that. Yesterday I plugged in before bed I checked and I was at 1 day 17 hours with 6 hours of screen time and I still had 41% left. That was 70/30 reading/games.
