Just wanna share Nexus 7 boot animation for P31XX (600 x 1024).
download the attachment, copy to /system/media or /data/local using Root Explorer, tested works on my P3100 CM10.

I downloaded the attachment and I copied in system/media. It didn't work. So I copied in another folder (local/media) and it didn't work too.

I think it does not work in stock roms, i think stock roms use boot animation with different extension, i think it is dmg, i think you need to have cm9 or cm10 to be able to run this boot animation

Copy to /system/media and reboot. You need root access to copy this. Most people use root explorer for this. This is only for aosp roms such as AOKP / CM10 and the like. Not for stock roms!!

You can backup the old boot animation on the sd card, or rename it to something that dont mess up with the new one.
@OT Could you provide more bootanimations? And maybe for the 7 inch and the 10 inch one?

Yes just rename it to bootanimation.old or copy it to a safe place (like the external SD card)

I have been working on this a bit and have failed at it miserably.
I'm trying to get this animation onto my tab:

Ideally I'd like to get it running in "portrait" mode, which I think means all the images need to be rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
I haven't managed to succeed, only make my tab not display anything on screen anymore in landscape mode, and display only like 1/3rd of the screen in portrait mode.
That was fun to fix LOL.
Anyways, any suggestions? It seems like this should be easy!

There are 2 files in the ZIP. Must I copy all the files over?

Did not work with my p5100...
Using Root Explorer cannot transfer the file to the appropriate folder. Error msg something like - it's Read Only. Even trying to change it to RW, also failed.
Any help?

Are you rooted? I'm not sure how it works on stock. You on cm?
Just klick on the where it says ''mount R/W'' then paste. I'm not sure, but i think it must be on r/o isn't it?

Yes, I'm rooted and using CWM as well.
not working on stock rom i cant even find my bootanimation.zip
Try root browser lite and download the required download when it first time launches
and try to update binaries of superuser
Also you could try to install supersu and update binaries of it

Will not work in stock rom for Aosp roms as cm9 and cm10
In stock the extension of animation is as i think dmg not zip will not work

My question is that if I flash this, does it wipe any mms themes i might have. Or does it just swap png? Flashed one of these before and it trashed my mms themes. Now I got to manually do this every time I switch roms.

You can use this with fresh install or not. If you don't have fresh rom you must wipe dalvik cache in recovery

this odex is only for cm7 and other rom with base of cm not for base rom of samsung. I'm working to create a version for samsung rom

you can use titanium backup pro to odex your rom... you can also de-odex... in titanium backup pro goto More> integrate sys dalvik into rom

I tried this on the version 232-10. I dont know if this works on the other versions too but I guess it will be the same framework-res, because the versions only differ in unlocking the bootloader(as far as i know).
DO A BACKUP OF YOUR ORIGINAL FILE!
Instructions:
1. https://mega.co.nz/#!txpX3Jbb!X_pnaDer5z3_IOlOBL8hDy0nMyZBWuhvhKiNgDUgCrk flash this via CWM
Or
1.Download zip , extract it ,and place the apk on your sd card.
2.Move the file to /system/framework
3.Wait till your phone has rebooted.

just replace the framework-res.apk with the one downloaded above.
Give the maker of the other thread a thanks if it works (credits for it goes to him)
The different to the crt off anim in v10x is that it works everytime(At my device it just did half of the time on v10h).

If u copy and paste, u have to set the rights and the owner (644 and root / root) afterwards...

try adb push \framework-res.apk /system/framework

first method :
take any flashable zip from our forum...
delete all other files in it with winrar / 7zip........
place apk in system / app / here ........
save it then flash it in cwm...
i done nova launcher like this in LQB and aosp rom..
or second method..
just delete old gallery..and install this app as normal..dont push..
hope it work fine... not sure never tested like this..

not others and i use it and confirmed its note2's gallery with timeline and spiral...

i just extracted it from chuckybean master rom long ago..
