I cannot find any of my recently taken pictures on my Bionic. I recently moved all of my pictures to my external sd card on 2 separate occasions. But for some reason, after I took a picture today and tried to remove it from my internal storage, it wasn't there. I can find it in my gallery, but not in any file, anywhere. I tried searching using es file explorer and nothing. I am rooted on stock. Does anyone have any advice?

Did you check the external?

Have you tried importing the files to your computer? A lot of times it will tell you where they are stored whether it be an sd card or simply a random file folder....you can also change where you want images stored after taking a picture, let me know if this helps and if you have any trouble I'll be glad to help fix it.

I have not tried to import, I will try that as soon as I get home from work and let you know the verdict. Thanks.

If you see the picture in your gallery you should be able to select the picture and hit options. After that hit details and on the bottom it should show you the path to where the picture is saved to.
They were on my external sd I didn't notice them because all of my instagram pictures were at the end of the list, not my most recent pictures, lol. Thanks for the help.

Look in the download folder on your sd card.

Is hooking the phone up to a computer the only way to see the folders on the SD card? Or can I see the folders on my phone?
You need to install a file browser. I use es file

I would recommend paying for "root explorer".

Ok thanks guys. I kind of want to put a new ROM on this thing too since some people are claiming to be get much better battery life.
Hello everyone,
I have been flash-crazy lately and I have run into a couple of problems I'd like your input on.
The last few that I have flashed are not recognizing any data on my external SD card. For example, my SD card (16Gb) is about half full with music and pictures, but when I go to the gallery, it's blank (no pics), and when I go to the music app, it doesn't show any of my tunes. None of my ringtones and notifications are available as choices either.
The ROM's that are giving me this problem are: MIUI and Axi0m (AOKP). These are the two ROMs that I would really like to check out. But with no SD Card contents...its a deal breaker.
But, ROMs like Team Gummy's ICS4Bionic load my SD card contents perfectly.
Any ideas what could be happening here?
Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer.
Rip
Read the op..... the miui has mounting issues not sure about axiom rom.....
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
Thanks for the advice. But, believe it or not, I did read the OP where it says that the SD card does not mount to the PC, which is not, at all, my dilemma. The problem that I am having is that the ROM is not reading my SD card.

Sorry guess I miss read.. so it does mount in SD on PC or no?? Thinking maybe a bad SD happened when I had my charge and I needed to replace it..
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
Well, part of my annoyance is that this problem is ROM specific. Gummy and CM9 load it fine. MIUI and AOKP don't. Not sure what is going on. Just going with Gummy for now...
Sent from my XT875 using XDA
fyi gummy is aokp based so..
Oh yeah. I meant that MIUI and Axi0m don't read the card. Thanks.

No problems just giving you the real facts so you know lol no sure what is causing this wish I could be of more assistance. I should know how to fix but I am stumped

I flashed Axi0m and took a few pics with the camera. The immediately showed up in the gallery. About a half an hour passed until I checked my phone again, and when I did, viola! My pics were in the gallery...and my music was in the music app. Super weird.
Still no luck with MIUI

hmm.. that is super wierd dude sounds like you have a pos bionic.. try returning to stock and going back up..

found out this might be the issue sometimes when you are in your "gallary" or whatever you are looking for in your sd card try opening up the file manager and see if you can see them there..
does anyone have any ideas on how to make the camera roll in the gallery start at the latest pictures and go back ? Mine starts at the oldest pictures and it takes forever to get to the latest ones taken.

Put your pics in folders labeled accordingly. Then you'd have less to go through

The stock gallery is garbage. Go install Gallery ICS and things will be a lot nicer for you.
Thanks ill give it a shot

Or check out quickpic. It's really fast and and allows you to organize the folders that are shown and hidden. Definitely a great replacement for the stock gallery

I did your write up on it and now I have less storage then I started with. All my apps are still on the phone itself. Though when I'm in safe strap there's no install option.

You may want to check where your images/videos are being stored. There's an option in the camera app to save to SD. Also, if you download alot, try purging your download folder. ALSO, if you're using TiB, make sure that your backup folder is moved to your SD, and set your backup location is set to that folder.
I've gotten that message, and it's annoying as hell.

My HD is starting to get a bit too full for comfort. Does anyone know of a free utility or way to find out what the largest files and folders are and delete them? I'm looking for something similair to ES File Managers SD Card Analyst. I thought Explorer might work, but it doesn't sort folders by size, only files. Many thanks in advance.

It seems like it might work. If I could figure out how to use it for what I wanted. At this point it just seems to be a slower Windows Explorer.

Do a Google search for treesize free. It takes a while to calculate the size of the folders, but everything will. There's no quick way to do it.

Thank you guys. I'm trying Teesside first. If that doesn't work as I would like, I'll give WinDirStat a try. Thanks for the help.
