I ordered mine July 20th & have yet to hear from them about the status.

I preordered mine on July 15 and was told that I was on the third wave but actually on the second wave and got mine on the 25th and have not put it down since lol. I would recommend calling them and seeing where yours is.

I called them today and they said they probably won't be getting them till October (in store).
I don't know about preorders but I'd rather not deal with that crap. There are plenty of other places to buy it from and probably get it sooner.

I think I ordered mine on the 14th, but I know I'm in the second wave of preorders. I called on Saturday and the guy I spoke with said they'd be in later this week. Then I called again yesterday and whoever answered didn't want to give a date, just saying that they'd be in whenever everybody else started getting another shipment. Hope the first guy is right, but the second guy knew specifically of the screen separation issue, so he was probably more knowledgeable.
The only reason I'm holding out is because I'm using some store credit from my old iPod touch. I had actually bought one from Staples, but returned it at the end of the 14 day window after it developed the screen separation problem (along the bottom, oddly enough). Otherwise, I would have just sold the GameStop one on eBay if they were still worth $300+ on there once it came in. I took the first guy at his word in making that decision, so here's hoping I'm not without one for too long.

I didn't preorder one and got it the 2nd day it came out at GameStop(last one in area). It had a screen seperation issue and they ordered me a new one that came in a week later. The new one is great and I got another $10 from Google wallet.
Preordered mine on that 17th of July and have been calling every week to find out any information. I was told that I was going to get it by August 7th when I preordered, but was just trying to have some hope that I'd be getting it sooner. If it wasn't for the fact that I got it for free by getting rid of my wife's old iPhone 4 I would've bought it from somewhere else a long time ago.
Same here, preordered on the 17th, was told it would come in late last week. Called Monday and was told August 7 instead. I could have gotten one at Macmall B&M downtown but since I had tradein at Gamestop I gotta wait.
I ordered mine on July 14th and received a call on July 24th to pick up which I believe is the second wave. So far, no problems on my tablet.
Got mine from GameStop. I Preordered then it took about 10 ten to get to the store. The way the store rep explained it to me was the store won't keep it in stock in store. You go in and preorder it and they will order it and it will come in one of their weekly shipments.

That's what they told me right before I got mine from Staples (I've returned it since then), which was on the 17th. That was right when Google was overwhelmed by demand for the 16 GB version; my guess is some higher-up put a really conservative estimate in the system to keep people's expectations low.
I'm hoping it comes this weekend, because it's the sales tax holiday in NC from Friday to Sunday and tablets qualify. If not, I might still go in and try to pay for it over the weekend, even if it's not in yet.

Same story for me with the South Blvd. and Woodlawn location in Charlotte, NC (ordered 7/14). The guy on the phone told me an email went out this morning saying a big shipment is on its way. Didn't say who all was on that email, but it sounded like a lot of people are getting theirs next week.
I saw a guy from Chicago over in the main thread saying he ordered his on the 22nd and got it today. Sounds like there's no real consistency with who gets theirs when, but it looks like the wait is almost over. :fingers-crossed:
Preordered July 19... Haven't heard anything quite yet. Hell the csr didn't even have an estimated date other than eventually. But I preorder enough through one particular store to know that store's employees aren't completely incompetent.

Pre ordered mine on the 7th. My receipt originally said Second Wave 8/7. On the 13th I got a call from the GS Guy saying my Nexus 7 was ready for pickup. Seemed like I was the only one in my city to get one, or one of few. There were no advertisements in the store.
I feel like I'm the only one waiting anymore. I called today to ask and they said they should be getting a big shipment in tomorrow and hopefully mine will be on it. I just hope if I have any issues with mine it won't be this big of a hassle to get a replacement.

Anybody received theirs?
Here's my story:
Order placed 9/30.
Tracking number issued 10/6 (OK, fair enough; they claim within 6 business days). UPS shows "A UPS shipping label has been created . . . ". That means the shipper has done the UPS paperwork, but not yet actually shipped the item.
Today is 10/12, still shows the same. I chatted with support rep yesterday, she said she had no information and I should e-mail "[email protected]" so they could "check with the warehouse".
E-mail sent yesterday, received automated acknowledgement, but have heard NOTHING since then. When I call, I get an automated message that they will be closed on Thursday and Friday, and reopen on Monday.

Yes. Got mine today. As did a friend who ordered the same deal.
For some reason, it shipped UPS to my town, then was handed over to the USPS for delivery. That's a new one on me.
I picked one up from Overstock. It looked brand new. No problems or dead pixels. This is the way to get a Nook Color. My only concern is if you have some issue you have to mail it in instead of just returning it to a local store.
I also ordered it Sept. 30th from dailysteals.
It arrived Oct. 12th.
Screen was perfect, everything worked as expected.
Apart from taking crazy long to ship, I'm happy so far.

I'll just have to wait until they reopen on Monday. At this point, though, they have to rank as one of the *worst* sites I have ever dealt with in terms of responsiveness (I know, I know; "you get what you paid for").

Yeah. Shipping is pretty horrendous. I'm STILL waiting as UPS sent it to USPS without scanning it, so it's a ghost in the system. It sat in a warehouse for around 3 days. Hope you guys are enjoying your devices. I'll probably have UPS pay for mine since they lost it. There goes my deal.

Like others here, it seemingly took forever for them to hand the package off to UPS, who shipped it 99% of the way and then handed it off to the USPS for final delivery. Mail was unusually late today, it didn't come until around 5pm, but they did have my order. All told, it took 2 weeks from ordering to final delivery. Granted, the shipping was free, but it was the slowest shipping I have ever had the displeasure to use.

Just confirmed with a personal friend of mine that is a manager of a gamestop. They currently have their stock of Nexus 7s in stock and ready to be sold but are waiting on Asus to give a street date for them. :good:

Good luck with that. Asus and Google won't want to upset those that ordered at the announcement online, when they could have walked to the end of the road and picked one up instore quicker.
Expect store units to be delayed until after the initial shipments of online ordered have been dispatched to prevent a PR nightmare.

Well just called to confirm my preorder at gamestop. They asked when I preordered and since I was the first one to preorder they said mine is available for pickup tomorrow. Apparently not all of the preorders will be filled tomorrow and it depends on where in line you are. There has been many many cases of devices being available earlier at a local store than people received them direct from the manufacturer. This looks to be the same :highfive:

It grieves me to know that I would have been better off waiting two days and ordered thru GameStop after it was announced that they would be selling the Nexus 7 Tablet, because waiting two more days to place the order would have gotten the tablet in my hands faster. (This is going to make for some really bad PR for Google...)
Edit: Had the wrong date of July 4th... (wrote from memory and remember a big event on July 4 - LHC announcement of finding the Higgs partical... Somehow crossed that with the Google I/O event the previous week)

NOBODY is getting it until google and asus announce the official date.. unless you went to Google I/O... they cant and will not give it up before its official.. maybe that is a big hint that tomorrow might be the day, who knows. all i know is that even if it is tomorrow, my local gamestop hasnt recieved their shipment yet, so i wont even recieve mine unless it comes tonight (IF it comes out tomorrow)

Last week, I ordered Tuesday (11/5) night around 9:30pm. Phone was picked up by FedEx on Wednesday (11/6) afternoon, arrived at my house on Friday (11/8).
If it matters, mine is the Verizon Developer Edition.
EDIT: The web site did have a note saying like due to high demand, it may take 7 days to process. But obviously it didn't.
When i ordered demand was "high" and they said it would ship within 7 days.
Once it shipped it took 3 days from Texas to Maryland. VZW also.
3 days, ordered on a Saturday morning.

That's odd. I ordered on the 8th. It shipped on the 11th and will be here tomorrow 13th. They do 2 day shipping. The first one I ordered was shipped the same day but I returned it for the discount.

I was never able to see my status. I got an email with a tracking number around 10 hours after it was picked up
I ordered 11/6, received it 11/11. On the motorola site, under order history it still has a status of "Not Shipped"
Mine status updated on the website when it shipped and I was mailed the tracking number. Same thing happened for both my orders.
Mine will be here today. Can finally retire the s4 and its cartoon touchwiz interface.

I was a little disappointed w/ the quality of shipping. The phone arrived safe and sound, but the Moto X box was stuffed inside a much larger box with no form of padding or cushioning at all.
I know it's all solid state, but I still didn't like hearing the moto x box sliding around. Not something you want to hear when opening $600 worth of electronics.

I ordered mine on a Wednesday evening and received it the following Monday. I believe they have plenty on the shelf, at least VZW anyway, as mine came with 4.2.2 on it. To me that would indicate that it was built awhile ago.

Question: What's the quickest way to get one? Has anyone ordered super recently and received an immediate shipping/arrival ETA? Or would it be best to go to the store and nab one?

I pre ordered on 9/30. My shipping label was just created on 10/11/14 and still seems to be sitting in a T-Mobile warehouse someplace because it has yet to be picked up by UPS. This is the first time I've pre ordered a phone from T-Mobile and it will be the last. I always show up at a T-Mobile store on launch day and walk out with a phone by 9:30 AM. As a T-Mobile customer for over 10 years you would think my shipping would be upgraded to 1 day air like a lot of others have. But according to my still up shipped tracking label, it's going UPS Ground.
Rather messed up that T-Mobile wouldn''t honor a first come, first served model. I could in all likely hood pre-order right now and have a device delivered before someone who ordered the day it started.
Same boat as you. Estimated delivery date is Friday.

Did you get tracking yet? I ordered white one Friday as well and they told me it would come in Monday if I did overnight. However, today they said it still hasn't been shipped yet and are not sure when it will now. Shipping was obviously refunded.

There was a loose ear piece grill on mine and Tmo had to order me a new black one today. They charged my card for a new phone with EIP just like the first one and they are shipping it to me overnight for Wed delivery. It's technically a new purchase and the 1st one will be a return.

How they get it free? how much was one day air? Cause I preordered mine in stores on 10/10 and come to think about it they never ask what shipping rate I wanted... like when I ask questions about the phone like a week earlier over the phone but anyways if I can get back the shipping that be cool.. but I think they just gave me the standard shipping $6.99... but if I could gotten free shipping...

Same here, but they called me. The rep asked what time I was coming in if I'd like to make an appointment. I told him 7:30 as the pre-order paper said anytime 7:30 - 8:30 (PM). He looked it up and said he's the first one coming in at 9:00. I'd have been upset if I found that out the hard way.
So, I'll be there at 9:00. The extra $150 gift card from Sam's was really the deciding factor for me.
