I judt got my note and had a few problems. Cant seem to close the cover in the srea right below the notch you put your fingernail in. It wont snap into place. Any suggestions? Also, the browser likes to float about after i move the page. It doesnt stop when my finger stops. Can i fix this?

On my ATT Tilt when ever I close the sliding screen now it does not line up properly. The screen sites a few millimeters to the right of where it should. I called ATT and they said that Slide issues aren't covered under warranty. Anyone else having a similar issue?
No problems here, although keyboard sliding is a bit easier to move since the day I bought it and it sometimes moves when I don't expect it to...
Yeah it def slides easier, but it doesn't line up properly.
I've dropped mine many times (only onto carpets so far, happily) and on occasion have found the top half of the phone slightly misaligned with the rest - resulting in a lip at the top, bottom, or right hand side. I've found that with a little gentle but firm nudge the other way, it usually fits back into place. I think there's a little movement designed into the whole thing, to allow it to take repeated sliding and the odd knock without the stress damaging anything.
My screen constantly goes out of alignment.
I have to realign it 10-12 times a day and sometime it goes out by alot !
I have tried 6 different ROMS and they all have the same problems

yeh.. mine's like that too... except it only seems to happen when it gets a bit warm.... haven't been able to find a solution for it so far.
Did a few searches and the general consensus seems to be that it's a hardware fault (screen and digitiser) and other people have sent it off for warranty repairs.
I'm going to have problems with the warranty as I have changed the Rom many many times.
Don't know how to put the original Telstra ROM back, assuming I can even get it !

I am on my 2nd diamond..
the first one had huge alignment problems, so i got it replaced..
after a month, the new one started doing the same thing..
i found a thread somewhere here on XDA (for the life of me cant remember where it is now)
but it had a little solution that mixed with mine, worked!
the problem is that the screen is not sitting properly in the casing anymore, possible due to a bump in your pocket, or a fall.. this causes a certain section of the screen to be higher or lower than the rest..
place the phone flat on a desk, and open up the notes app and try to write/draw something.. see which side of the screen the line is heading towards..
now place place your thumb and a finger on diagonal sides of the screen (eg, bottom left and top right) and press down... check with the stylus if its any better... if not, try opposite sides and check again..
mine always shot up to the top right, so when i held down the top left side of the phone, it worked..
so this meant that the top right side was sitting slightly higher than the rest of the screen.
the solution is:
find a business card with sharp corners and place the edge underneath the screen (just the corner, dont shove the whole thing up there!) hehe
then slide the card up and down a few times, and then do another side of the screen... do all 4 sides but pay special attention to area where the styles was migrating towards in the notes app..
after doing this, my phone hasnt given me a days problem in 2 months now..
give feedback if this solution works for you!
Removing the battery cover on the Nexus is rather irritating, is there a specific way YOU remove it, I know its simply sliding it up - but I'm still having troubles.

I find it easiest to hold it so the top of the phone is facing away from you, face down. hold it so your fingers are on the screen side, kind of going down the length of the screen on each side and place your thumbs about 1/2" in from the edge, just above the split.. on the half that slides off.
Now... counter intuitively... press your thumbs down into the phone with a little bit of forward motion too (the direction it slides). If you have your thumbs in the right places, you'll easily defeat the hooks that hold the case together and it'll pop right open.
@grainysand the palm method also works pretty well too, but I still tend to need at least 2-3 tries removing it that way. it's rare that I can't get the shell apart my first try using the thumb tactic.

??? Hmmmm... ....Hold it in your left hand with screen facing down...put left thumb on bottom of cover...right thumb just below the camera lense cover...Right index finger on top of the phone...making sure you're not holding the cover down with it...and push up with both thumbs.

very descriptive this is the way i've done it the whole 3 times i have opened it.
I posted this in this thread, but I also wanted to post here to get feedback (agree/disagree) from others seeing the screen lift issue.
I've tried a few of the suggested fixes (shim, screw loosen/tighten, remove sponge, reheat glue) to fix my screen lift but the lift keeps coming back. On my device I can see a pronounced warp down the left hand side. Visible on both the screen frame and the plastic back case.
Removing the back case I see it warped on the left but straight on the right. I wonder if this is in fact the root cause of the lift. The warped case is applying force to the left side and the screen can't help but lift.
I've attached pictures to illustrate the issue. You can see (by the color of my fingertip) the amount of force I have to apply to press the left side flat. I think this is why the fixes are all temporary. The warped case will eventually win out against all fix attempts.
I actually don't want to RMA my device. I frankly can't be bothered to. However, if Google wants to send me a new back cover I'd happily accept it. I would imagine, though, that procedurally this would be problematic... you don't want customers taking the devices apart, it's unlikely they have cases lying about, and they have an RMA process in place that most likely is triggered by a clicking a single button on a form (least fuss).
Is anyone else seeing this warping?

Hi guys
I just got an second-hand note and i'm wondering, is my s-pen broken?
I know that it registers multiple levels of pressure, but i can't seem to figure it out.
I know the note app makes a thicker line when u press harder, but i can't seem to get it to work.
Also, i cant "feel" the tip going "up" a little bit. I can imagine for diferent levels of pressure the tip moves a bit up and down, but i cant feel it. It feels like it is stuck.
Is it broken or is it supposed to do this?
I mis-click sometimes (i clearly touch the screen but it doesn't register) and the "sync" is way of, like 2 mm to to the top and left.
Any ideas?

my spen is fine and i dont find the tip moving at all. it works just fine.. on the snote app try with a brush instead of pen.. that should a better picture of pressure sensitivity
Hmm i tried it but it goes from thick to not registering the stylus (as it is clearly on the screen)
Do u guys get feedback when u let ur pen "fall" on the screen? with this i mean it is bouncing on the screen, with only its own weigt. I can go as high as i want but when it touches my screen i wont get feedback. I need to press it myself, on top of the weight of the pen.
Also the position is off. Any way to calibrate this? Or is it my pen? And if it is the software, wil flashing a new rom fix it?

i have read and seen some apps that can calibrate the spen by just changing the spen settings dominant hand to left then to right,
In papyrus the line should get thinner when less pressure is given.
so i finaly figured it out. in papyrus, it is clearly noticable that when i press harder i get a thicker line.
What i do notice about the allignment is that when it is on righthand mode the cursor is off somewhat to the up-left side, and on lefthand mode it is to the up-right side. I found that this is because it thinks i want to hold the pen with an angle. If i do that (as i just found out) it alligns just fine. But i want to be able to use it 90 degrees from my screen, straight. Is there any way i can fix this? Because i think the screen is reporting the right position only the left- or righthand mode is correcting it.
i think its made to use it in an angle.. that why the hovering icon aligns just right at a slant
My stylus is registering the pressure input plus it wont go thicker than the ppont u selected. The thickness is only apparent when u use a thick bruah. So check it again.

Got a new s-pen, "problems" still exists, so i think its just how s-pen works, not exactly as i want it but will do fine.
