reflash rom, if its still nhot working redownload and reflash if still no download a new rom, last option use seus to restore back to stock

just flash it again!
flash kernel - backup
do factory reset, full wipe, etc!
flash your ROM
done!

here's a few choices
1: Read the forums
2: Sell your phone and buy a 3310
3: actually only 2 choices
and before you ask USE THE SEARCH BUTTON

well i read the forums but i didnt discover the same problem as me ...so again is the stock x8 rom not supposed to work after i flash the kenrel or am i doing something wrong?(ican get to cwm).MOreover,do i have to load the custom rom file first, then flash the kernel, then flash the loaded rom?
dude, flash nAa v10. after you flash it, the kernel logo will appear followed by the battery sign.
press power button, the phone will boot and the kernel logo will appear.
you will be sent do CWM Menu.
if you have a compatible ROM for nAa kernel, do a full wipe and reboot and see if the ROM boots successfully.
if you dont have a compatible ROM, do a full wipe, install CM 2.1.8 and then reboot.
U have to unlock bootloader first before flashing kernel,
this is the step (with stock kernel and rom installed and root) :
- unlock bootloader
- flash kernel
- enter cwm
- wipe data
- install custom rom
- wipe data again
- restart system
and ur good to go

You cant load stock rom with a custom kernel. Just flash GingerDx Rom and you should be fine. Flash the kernel first using the flash tool, then flash the rom using CWM and then turn on the phone
ty very much guys( especially bahmonkeys)!I should have known that

No problem im here to help!!!
Here is a newbie guide to unlock the bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436924&page=2
After you unlocked BL you can flash the kernel with flashtool (with the latest one)
-Don't forget to copy you're rom to SDcard!
When the nAa logo appears hit the back button and you're in cmw menu.
full wipe->instal custom rom-> reboot your phone !
first flash your kernel and then install custom rom...

Did you "Full Wipe (Factory Reset)" after flashing the ROM?
If not ... keep tapping on the screen when the white Sony Ericsson logo shows up to get into CWM and full wipe.
Works now?
Thanks for your reply,
I've done full wipe but its not working.

Ok, then let's dive deeper into the matter ...
- You run a custom kernel?
If yes, which one?
- How did you flash the ROM? ClockworkMod recovery or xRecovery?
If you flashed with xRecovery you did wrong. Re-flash the ROM with CWM.
- In case you are on Stock Kernel, did you flash the Stock Kernel add-on?

Since I am still missing a "Works now" post here (apart from a "Thanks") ...
You now see the bold red text that outlines the problem why your ROM does NOT boot?
Oh, and since you ARE on Stock Kernel (2.1.1.A.0.6) do NOT forget the also flash the Stock Kernel Add-On in CWM - or you will have just the next torrent of problems after you.

so you arent bricked then
if you can bet into cwr to install a gb kernel then rstoire if not you wil lneed to use pc odin to flash a rom
Did you wipe cache, dalvik, and factory reset?
Upgrading from GB to ICS will usually loop if you don't reset the phone.
Do not wipe cache, dalvik, or factory reset
In fact, stay away from CWM and use PC-Odin to flash a stock image.

You will lose applications and don't forget to wipe cache/dalvik if you face any problem in you phone after installing GB rom by going it in recovery.

i've been having this problem since i switch to ics.
when i try to revert back to abyss4.2 so i can try to install other ics rom, i get stucked.
what works is i try to restore my GB nandroid backup, then it reboots and hangs, i switch it off, then boot at recovery and walah!
im back to my GB cwm, then i can install abyss4.2 and proceed with ICS rom flash.
that's how i always do it, i hope someone can advise a better way..http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

[Q] How to switch from Purexsp rom to niaboc's new rom

Hi guys,
I have the latest firmware of the SP and I flashed the PureXsp Rom following the steps so I rooted using doom lord method etc
However, now I want to switch to niaboc's rom but I do not want to lose my apps and data on the phone. Is there any way to do that?
Additional Info: Bootloader is locked and I have flashed a dual recovery so I have CWM and TWRP and TWRP touch
Any help will be appreciated
I am new to this so please don't hate if I have said something stupid
Best regards
Kay

wipe /system and /cache and /dalvk-cache and flash and reboot the phone

Do I flash my recovery back again too? I remember that I had to flash recovery and the rom and then reboot... Is that correct or will the recovery not need flashing?
And wiping system and the cache won't that erase apps?
No they wont.. If you loose your recovery use this tool": http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649923
