hi
after rooting my LG Optimus Black 2.2.2 free (No operator....No SFR or Vodafone or O2 or any operator) and installing the
[ROM] [AROMA] Marvel v 9 New! - Gingerbread 2.3.4 v20o [Highly Customizable ROM] Now when i try to turn on the phone, it's stuck in LG logo and won't turn on. I am able to get it to S/W update screen by pressing volume+ and plug into USB. The LG Update software recognizes it but it says the phone is up to date so it doesn't do anything.
and if that help i have the backup of the 2.2.2 firmware i did it just after the root
what to do ??
Flash with smartflashtool and then recover your imei
It shall be fixed

In my opinion first you have to flash by smartflash stock rom 2.3 with root , but don't touch imei option ( Like in quide )
Second move - from play store you have to get rom manager app, and by rom manager flash cwm and this time you can to flash all another roms from sdcard from zip files
If you can enter to s/w mode you can always fix phone
ok i will try with the flashtool and keep u in touch and thanks

NVFlash is not working !!
I am no longer able to see S/W Upgrade on my device !!
Nvflash is used in combination with a pc. Not just an update from within your phone. Look in the pinned threads of the developers part on how to restore a kind of bricked phone.
hello every one

i have searched xda and tried 3 diff patched ap cp bin files and not got success pl answer thanks to all for reading this question waiting for some reply from the xda members and cici rom author pl if he reads this .
flash again via smartflash, you've messed up with the wiping step.
maybe some wrong step in using the smartflash tool.. use the "rom copy" option, choose ap, cp, then start.. just that.. so far, that tool always unbrick my phone from any condition..
Screen may be broken
try again by smartflash but only checked rom from provider and when will be bad you have to go lg service
Thanks all iki duke supi
it was hardware fault the touch plate panel was not working got it working in 2 days from LG service center.
So the actually problem was solved
Than I again root with smart flash and when rebooted in cwm just mounted SD card copied Zeus on it and installed Zeus 5. 35 thanks all of you and Zeus creator
At present all working fine
Fast stable ok thanks again all.

I take a quick look at instructions and they are for ICS. You did it wrong.

Did you try to hold the - key down while plugging in a usb? (pull out your battery) if that succeeds then you should use kdz flash tool to revert and AIO Tool by OS_Hacking to get a proper recovery.
Hi,
I’m trying to upgrade my Wind Mobile Optimux 2x from 2.2 to Android 4.2.2 (CyanogenMod Nightlies). The Clockworkmod identifies my phone as LG G2X; I tried to manually select Optimus 2x but flash recovery failed. I kept it as LG G2X but each time that I tried to flash with a P990 ROM (Optimux 2x), it was unsuccessful and I had to factory reset it by pressing Power and volume down key.
This time, I selected P999 ROM (LG G2X) as I read that it’s the same as Optimus 2x for T-Mobile...but now it stuck at the LG logo (with blue/purple background lines) and pressing Power and down key doesn’t work anymore and it stops at logo again instead of resetting.
If I hold the volume down key until second LG screen, it shows: S/W Upgrade Please wait while upgrading... and it stops there forever...
What should I do to resolve the problem? And is there a way to go back to factory setup mode?
Thanks

First of all, check the sticker under your battery for whether your phone P990 or not. Please let me know what type of phone do you have P999 or P990

It's P999. I spend several hours to research about it and tried different applications...One-Click-G2x-recovery-flasher-04-28-12 and CWM_5.0.2.8_P999 cannot flash the device and give the partition download fail error, maybe because I previously used AIO-P990-ToolKit_v5.6 to nvflash it as APX drivers are installed and USB cable is working well. I tried different custom recovery versions using AIO, ICS-cwm-6.0.3.1, ICS-cwm-6.0.2.5 (before knowing that I have to use G2X), ICS-cwm-5.0.2.8e and ICS-cwm-5.0.2.0 but was not able to flash it as it goes back to recovery mode after rebooting, instead of running the new O/S.

I can do for you a nvflash for your p999. It will recreat all partitions and etc and will flash cwm p999 recovery to your device. Search custom roms on the optimus g2x forums. It will take some time since i have to download a stock p999 rom and gather the necessary files
Download my attachment and run flash.bat. It repartitionate your phone to p999 layout and flash cwm as well. Do not flash p990 custom roms with cwm to your phone, because p990 and p999 partition layout is different.

Thank you for your reply. I finally could flash it using G2XCleanUpBatch5028. It turned out that CM7 unlike what I thought is 2.3.7 not 4.x and I already found some problems in it...I'm trying to find the original Wind Mobile ROM and a way to install it back on my phone to keep it as my factory reset backup to return back to it in case that I could not find a reliable custom ROM.
By the way, I'm wondering what's the difference between your attachment and the one (G2X_V21E_00_NVFlash) that comes with 450MB ext3_system.img file?

My version of nvflash I skipped the system image, because I assumed that you are going to flash a custom rom. So that 445 mb differnce is teh missing android OS.
You can find your original rom at http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=0000000000000000 , replace the zeroes with your IMEI number. It will give you the download link for your current stock rom. It is in kdz format. If you having troubles flashing kdz, then give me the link to your kdz and I am going to make you a nvflash rom from that.
I suffered with BSOD on my Optimus 2X P990 for months under GB and ICS V30A.
It happens anytime and when I charged or plugged it on the PC while the screen is off.
It really sucks removing the battery anytime and turning it on again.
But after flashing ICS V30B and rooting it, it seems the BSOD is totally gone.
It never occured for 2 MONTHS now!
Also tried it with some units I sell that has the BSOD bug and it never happened again.
Here's what I did.
1. Charge your battery to at least 70% and backup all important files.
2. Flash V30A FLS/BIN from HERE but DON'T REMOVE THE BATTERY. Just turn off device and boot to S/W Upgrade mode.
3. After a successful flash. Reboot device.
4. Download STOCK V30B KDZ for your P990 using your IMEI.
Code:
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=[COLOR="Purple"]XXXXXXXXXXXX[/COLOR]
Where XXXXXXXXXXXX is your device's IMEI. Browse to that page and a link will be shown where you can download the specific V30B Kdz for your device.
5. After you have downloaded the KDZ file. Convert or Extract it to FLS/BIN using this TOOL.
6. Flash V30B FLS/BIN using smartflash. Again DON'T REMOVE THE BATTERY and boot to S/W Up mode.
7. After a successful flash. Reboot device and root it from HERE. END!!
Don't know if it'll work for you guys but there's no harm in trying.
