You cant flash CM9 with ODIN.
Re-stock your device using the safe restock files/guide from Overcome thread/site links. Once you have stock rom and overcome kernel installed flash CM9 via recovery.

Can you please provide me with a guide ?

[Q] CWM Recovery and CM9 for P1000 ?

I went through the threads in the Development forum and couldn't find links for CWM Recovery for my Galaxy P1000.
It is unrooted and still on stock firmware. I wanted to be quite sure while installing. Will the one for P1010 work ? (found it in the Development section)
And after that should I install CM9 nightly through the CWM installed ?
Thanks
Flash overcome kernel and you get cwm recovery.

Are you familiar with flashing with Odin? Or specifically restocking using overcome method?
Basically
1) go to overcome site and download the gb stock safe and overcome kernel. And also download ics stuff aokp or cm9 and gapps.
2) flash the stock from
3) flash overcome kernel.
You can check my post here for more details of the 3 steps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626825
Or if you are on gb based rom, you can just start directly with step 3)
4) boot to the new cwm recovery that overcome kernel comes with and flash ics (may need to do twice) and then gapps.

[Q] ICS for my Galaxy Tab

Hi all,
I own a Galaxy Tab P1000 bought in UK and not sim locked.
I bought it in Carphone Warehouse.
Now I wonder if I can install ICS on my Tab.
I know nothing about kernels in general so please do not come up with install this kernel, that kernel.
I have a stock 2.3.3 ROM updated via Kies and I rooted it.
I just want to keep all my features working on my Tab (camera, data, voice and so on) after the upgrade so I am not interested if some stuff is not working.
If these requirements are met I wish you could come up with an upgrade procedure for dummies with the link to all files needed.
Again I know nothing about kernels so please try to explain what I am gonna do.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Federico.
Well, too bad.
Samsung won't make ICS for this tab, so no L
kies update for you.
And yeah, we all will tell you to install a kernel+cwm to flash it.
And no spoon feeding either...
Go to overcome site

Read the guide,

Follow the picture step by step.
Basically to restock:
Download GB-stock-safe-v5.zip, unzip it and and flash with ODIN according to the guide.
Stop there and you will have Gingerbread JQ1
You can continue with the rest, and you will get Overcome 4.1 and you won't regret.
From there you can then try AOKP or CM9, all requires you to have Overcome Kernel with its CWM recovery to flash.
Links are easy to find in their individual thread.
Come back here after you have overcome rom, come back here and I am willing to guide you further.

The 2 roms you are talking about have all features working?

Camera, data, voice call
Yes, both cm9 and AOKP can do that.

I am reading some information. It looks like there are stability problems with custom roms. Endless loops with one. Wifi disconnecting on the other. When I was using a sony ericsson x10 I used to install custom roms. Just all had bugs and I always went back to stock. Thing is that the tab is more complicated and I am not willing to brick it either.

P.S. Cwm is already installed on my tab. Just not the kernel.

You need cwm 5.x to be successful I think.
Btw, gtab is quite hard to brick, as long as you didn't screw up the boot loader.

Steps should be to:
- Install GB-stock-safe-v5.zip (Odin) (I have 1.85 is that ok?)
- Install Overcome 4.0.0 Kernel (Odin) (I have 1.85 is that ok?)
- Install Overcome 4.1 ROM wipe (via CWM, should I use wipe or no wipe?)
Once I am done with that I can use CWM to install an ICS ROM if I wish.
I think I got this correctly didn't I?
Ok, I am now lost about which specific ROM to try. CM seems more stable but is there any specific release (more stable) that I should be looking for? Could anyone please link a post to a stable ICS CM release for my tab?

help:bricked tab

I have a p1000 galaxy tab that is hang on "SAMSUNG" boot screen, I wanted to CM10 so I rooted the device then patched the bootloader and downloaded CWM and still couldn't apply any rom .... then using odin I tried to use Overcome Kernel but then the was not working anymore just in bootloop, so by downloading a stock rom from samfirmware installed the rom using odin but unfortunately it just hangs on boot screen, so please help me, I have flashed many times my S1 but I'm failing to understand doing it on the tab and its not mine
note: I was on Froyo when I rooted and applied overcome
please help me guys
Edit: please don't refer me to the unbrick forum in development, if possible I would like a step by step guidance ... thanX

[Q] Please help for CWM.

I had a stock Gingerbread running on my P1000 and then, after following instructions from threads here and there,I installed a custom rom of CM 9.0.0 RC1 successfully.
During my installation,I flashed the kernel with odin 1.7 to install CWM on my tab.
Now,I want to use Pandroid Android ROM for jellybean in my tab.
My question is do I need to install CWM with odin again to install a new rom?
I did create a backup of my current ROM but i am unsure whether I need to install CWM with odin to proceed the installation of the Pandroid ROM.
Thanks in advance
No, from cm9 just boot to your current cwm and flash the new Rom.
