You were lucky.. Don't recommend really stupid ideas like that on here..
Flashing your phone on a dead battery can corrupt the flash if it dies during the process.
You'd have to take the phone to Sony to repair it.

so not true..flashed kernel on a dead battery and it work..flashing require small amounts of power because it is in flash mode if he wants to use xrecovery/CWM then its require 10 +/- % of battery but if he wanna use flash mode with PC C he can flash on a 5+/-% of battery without any problems :highfive:
hey bro...try to flash using flash tool.........

Hi there,
Hi all, my galaxy ace s5830 can't boot into download mode at all, the phone was bricked as i flash to s5830i rom. It is totally bricked. Nothing appear, i tried so many ways but it is still the same. I think it is hard bricked. Anyone can suggest a way how to boot into download mode.
Thanks in advance
If you can't boot into download mode, that's probably the end of your ace.
Sorry, mate.

Try this-
Remove Sim card, memory card and battery.
Press home + volume down + power and holding these buttons, ask someone to insert the battery.
That may do it.
Best of luck.

You can't install any ROMs for the S5830i on the "normal" S5830.
I think that this is the reason for the brick.
Good luck!

According to everything I found on the internet, they do it that way, too.
So building or buying a USB Jig would would be cheaper.

The usb jig doesn't work on my galaxy ace... i send it to repair shop, they told me motherboard broken, so better throw it n buy a new one. Cost of repair will be enuf for us to buy a second hand galaxy ace.

Motherboard broken? Really?
I can't believe that. Why should flashing a ROM for a different phone model break the device?

Hard bricks render the motherboard useless. It doesn't mean that it's physically broken ( just in case you've misunderstood.... ). I dunno the details of how and why It happens. But it is feasible that that op might get a motherboard of some other device for his phone in case if that of ace is outta stock.

Well non of those things that you disable will stop you from using your fingers. I suggest reflash your rom and kernel or if you have official rom reflash your official rom. If still persist your digitizer must be broken the reason why spen works because it has a different digitizer from the amoled itself.

Well you did say you did a factory reset and really, that should have fixed it if it was a software issue so I think if a rom reinstall doesn't fix it then it's a hardware problem.. Make sure you enable OEM unlock and Debugging before trying to install the rom, seriously.

Having same problem here. Will be sending my phone in tomorrow. In my case, touching wont work, S Pen works. Top left corner of screen and bottom corner recognize touch. Touch screen fully works at random times for random amounts of time, without any changes done to phone.

After the update I have the following problems:
1. Can't connect to the windows desktop, probably no download mode.
2. OTG stopped working.
3. No Deep Sleep, battery running about 1.2 percent on idle.
4. Charging animation when it is in shutdown state is not visible (Black Screen).
The question is how to update firmware now since I can't connect it to the computer for rooting/TWRP Etc.
Should I go back to 6.0 and if yes ... how to do this without pc connection ???
Anyone else with similar problems ?
Thanks!

Didn't try this because I don't have the power and time to reinstall everything again from scratch...
I can live with most of the problems ,
I think the biggest problem (for me) is the battery usage on idle time since the device is not entering deep sleep,
So battery is decreasing about 1.2% per hour which last for about 80 hours, even if I select the extreme battery saving mode...
The only solution is to turn it off if you know that you are not going to use it for a long time
u have to find the program who does this problem.. one or more apps doing this
