Show screen touches - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, is it possible to show screen touches on GB like on ICS? It's the only feature of ICS I'll be missing. And I think it's awesome.

it was included in ICS(AOKP and CM9) in the Settings.
but as it is not in the CM settings in gingerbread I think that first it will have to be ported from CM9 or AOKP and then it will have to be merged with the settings so as to use it.
You can try PMing some devs Who have made ROMs If they can include this feature in gingerbread.
cheers.

Thanks guys! Will try the developer tools before asking anyone to import.
EDIT: The developer tools app doesn't have it. I'm talking about the setting where the little white circle shows every time and anywhere you touch the screen.

[Q] Notification and toggles : 2 "clicks"

I'm on AOSP (paranoidandroid CM9) in tablet mode, and what I find most annoying is the notification bar...to access the toggles you have to click one time to make the notifications appear, and a second time to access the toggles...is there a way to make the whole thing appear with one touch ?
Using stock AOSP - there is no way to do this. You need 3rd party mods.
Thanks for the answer..I don't know how the guys at google thought it would be a good idea to do it this way.

True, especially that it's a tablet UI which means...lots of space on the screen.

4.1.1Remics-JB (Team RemICS) *V2 Enquiry

Hi Guys,
I have a question about the following ROM
[ROM][4.1.1] [2.0.0 Rev1] Remics-JB (Team RemICS) *V2 IS ONLINE
Really happy with the performance, i just upgraded from RemICS-UX v1.3.1 and one amzing feature that I can't seem to activate is the notification lights on the bottom two buttons, the lights switch on when i have a missed call, sms, etc... any suggestions?
The second thing is a lot of people are having trouble to have multipule langauges ( such as Arabic) to display, I found the following thread as a suitable solution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31030729&postcount=1892
I suggest asking the developers in the rom thread

LED notification won't work. If you want BLN (I think that's what you mean) flash the Devil Kernel! See XYUnknown's post

Because of the lack of space, it may be necessary to move some apps to the external sd card. On reboot, the icons will turn into green android men in the apps list and disappear from the home screen and bottom drawer.
The tw launcher is somewhat 'flaky', so it will probably be better to download Nova launcher (or Apex or Go...). I've just installed Nova launcher because tw took a nasty turn for the worse this morning. Everything is now fine - though the ui is a little strange at first. One advantage is that Nova presents the app list in alphabetical order - not higgledy piggledy. The settings too can be saved prior to any flashing.

Trickdroid (Bugs, Request and etc)

Well, I'm just starting this thread cause I cant post in the One Android Dev forum. How do I even get access to post replies in threads there? How do I report bugs and have requests or questions answered? Kernel options was removed as they dont work on the new base, there is an option to have the back button to double as the menu. But why was the dock transparency option removed as well? Is there a problem with it too? Will there be a fix for it?
You need 10 post in Q&A or general section.
After 10 post you can post everywhere.
However, there is a FAQpost in trickdroid thread.
For kernel, custom kernel will work on new base.
The option for back button there is if you, during aroma installation, have choose remove 3-dot menĂ¹.
You can do trasparent the dock with a modded zip.

Yea....the back button is not much of a problem for me. But can you point the direction for the transparent dock. I'm tryina make my own custom lockring. I succeeded on my one X, so i'm gonna try on the one too. 10 posts?! Alright then...
Find it hard picking up calls as I have to key in my pin before i'm able to answer. Is there a way to get pass that? I'm using the aosp lockscreen. Does that affect how I answer calls?

That's what happens when you go aosp lockscreen on a sense Rom. I know some custom roms on my old phones had a fix for it. I'd just go back to sense lockscreen if I were you. In my opinion it looks awesome compared to aosp.

Would it make a diff if I checked the box to disable exchange security? I had configured my work email exchange and it prompted the pin is needed. Its a hassle not being able to see who's calling and having to swipe and enter the pin first. I liked the AOSP cause I like to make my own custom lockring.

Hide Menu Bar on bottom??

I searched and found some answers for tablets but not the atrix hd.
Anyone use a particular program to hide the menu/status bar on the bottom of screen? It would be nice to have a full screen when gaming or video etc.. perhaps something that just hides and then reappears when you slide side screen or something.
Any custom ROMS that have this built in?
THX
This is Paranoid Android, a custom ROM. I believe this what you're looking for. In the second screenshot, the notification center is replaced with those lines, swiping all the way to the right shows notifications, while swping all the way to the left shows quick settings. Anymore help let me know

PAC, Paranoid, and CM all have that feature....in fact, any rom with PIE has that option. Its called Expanded Desktop. There are also apps on the market that have that feature as well, but I gotta recommend just using a rom with that feature built in.
Thanks Guys.. Will check them out
If you're using stock android.
Use GMD gesture or fullscreen!

ripple effect like webos

i like the ripple effect from webos actually there are several apps for android that make something like it but just on the wallpaper so im wondering if is there any patch or something to bring the same effect to android for the entire system like in webos any help will be appreciated
If you just want android to indicate where you're currently touching, select the option "show touches" under developer options in settings.
