Brightness Sensor - LG Optimus 2x

hello everyone,
i noticed that the screen brightness doesnt change"on the spot", the phone needs to be locked and unlocked in order for the screen brightness to adapt at the ambient lighting.
e.g. im in a dark area using my phone then walking towards where is more brighter, the screen remain with the same brightness setting as the dark area, then for the screen to adapt i need to lock it and unlock it.
is this a bug?is my sensor broken? or this is how it really works?
P.S. i've searched already in the forum nothing came up in regards.
Phone Specs: LG optimus dual, rom temasek kang build 133, etana LOC kernel, BB and RIL match, And of course AUTOMATIC BRIGHTNESS TURNED ON.
Hoping for anyone kind consideration in the matter.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] After install CM7, my camera become very dark, any fix?

while in stock rom, it is extremely perfect, but in custom ROM, it becomes very dark.
anyone experience this?
adjust your brightness.
uncheck automatic brightness, drag to the maximum value, and check automate brightness.
but in my memory about this bug, it only occurs in stock ROM that camera uses original brightness value instead of the value that the sensor suggested to your system.

so it means no fix for this?
In camera app from settings, change exposure to +1,+2 or to +3. It will help.

Black screen wont wake up - have to remove battery

Is there any solution to this problem?
touch buttons illuminated, screen back light on but screen wont wake up, stays black, so i have to remove the battery.
It is driving me mad, happens every other day 2/3 times a day.
Running temaseks rom and kernel on there... is there anything i can do to eradicate this problem?
When i shut down the wifi, i dont have this problem

Try to reflash rom. Shouldn't have such issues on Temasek at all.

need to wait or pull out the battery

i think it's a rom problem,i face it when i'm on that build, but now i change to gueste.. and everything works, try to change kernel.. or rom..
I also had this problem on Parandroid CM10, no sign of life from the phone at all.
However, I reflashed the rom and now it works great.
Ok rom issue then. I will reflash it with a different one and kernel. Any kernel recomendations?

Happened to me on gueste2x v3.8 last night while I was USB tethering...and I was just pushing for a record time running made it to 160 hours and had to pull battery out to get it working again. As mentioned already, it's probably something to do about background data/wifi activity.
Nevertheless, I still recommend gueste2x v3.8  Give it a try

wow, i really wonder which settings you use and which usage type you have. hardly get 20 hours of life out of my battery. im using a jb rom which needs more juice, but nevertheless the difference is stunning. maybe i should start thinking about getting a new battery

Happened to me twice in a row even with temasek. And bunch of times before with variety of roms. Its basicly kernel issue, low voltage set on screen off and probably some background data sync.. Well i hope cm10 is gonna fix this issue forever, because this is making me wanna toss my o2x and whole android to the trashbin and buy a Windows Phone rather.. I Just cant keep a phone i cant rely on

I kept having this issue with stock CM & faux kernel. I resolved it finally by replacing the battery with a new one.

How's auto brightness working for you guys?

Auto brightness isn't doing its job for me, it just stays on full brightness no matter where im at or in lit situation or dark rooms. Anybody else? Is there a fix or something to do in the settings?
On what Android Version is your One going? In 4.1 the auto brightness were not going well. The display was most of time heavy lighted up. But now in 4.2.2 it works very good. Screen turns the brightness very fast.
Perhaps HTC (or Google) has changed something there.

No problem. Think auto brightness will work better in 4.2.2.
Also torxx from the Trickdroid Rom thread said that HTC or Google changed the values for auto brightness.
Good luck.

[Q] Lollipop screen brightness

I'm new to this phone and on stock rooted lollipop (with twrp) but screen typically isn't bright enough indoors and outdoors. I want it to auto adjust so I tried lux lite but memory usage is very high (80-100MB). What are you guys doing about this?
