Screen Freeze when Installing a Jelly Bean Rom - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I am somewhat a Noob to android flashing and I've run into a problem when installing Elite Genius's Jelly Bean ROM which can be found on the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1776738
After installing the beta 8 version I decided to install the beta 10 version. However after moving the ROM to my internal SD card and installing the ROM through the Devil Kernel the phone is stuck on the semaphore kernel loading screen.
I have tried restarting the phone but the phone keeps getting stuck on the loading screen. Could anyone help me out?
Shano

Try to use the download mod and flash the stock JVU via Odin , then install your rom .

Go back to cwm and reflash the zip do that before you go to stock cause it might fix it

[Q] CWM missing after ICS Semaphore kernel upgrade

Hi, i'm running Teamhacksungs build 17, and just tried upgrading to new Semaphore 1.2 (regular and s version).
Started by running kernel cleaner script from CWM.
First tried the regular version, and phone would not boot anymore past the Semaphore kernel splash screen.
Then i tried the s version (aka. bigmem configuration), and after succesful flash trough cwm and boot, now my phone freezes at kernel splash screen. To make matters worst, CWM through three button combo is not working anymore!
Bootloader still works, so i was wondering, is it possible to flash new ics kernel with CWM through odin? I really dont want to re-stock my phone with GB and then start the whole ics upgrade process all over again, specially cos my backups are not fresh . (I know, stupid me).
Any help would be great!!
I think you can flash mid night kernel using odin.

Infinite loop while installing rom

Hi there.
I am trying to install 4.1.1 Rom, and I've got this problem, no matters which rom I choose. Here are the steps I follow:
1.- Install Official 2.3.6 firmware with Odin
2.- Install Clockworkmod with Odin
3.- Go into Recovery Mode and follow the install instructions from the ROM (wipe data..., install from sd card)
4.- And here it goes. I got "Samsung Galaxy Logo - ROM Logo - Installation init" again and again. The installation shows log messages that I don't have enough time to read (something about E unknown, or can't mount. I've tried flashing with dbdata.rfs.tar, but with no luck)
Any help? Thanks in advance.
Reflash you have to flash twice and also I recommend flashing on top is cm not GB as it seems to stop imei issues

Keep pressed the Recovery Combo until you see the Samsung Galaxy S first screen. It will force to enter Recovery mode.
Then wipe again and reflash
Instead of directly installing clockwork mod, install the cf-root kernel instead, which gives you root and CWM. That's what I normally do anyway.
He/ She doesn't need too there flashing straight to another ROM don't need root

Thank you all for the replies.
I'll try them tonight and I'll let you know if it works out
It does that to me everytime I want to upgrade frome Gb to ICS or ICS to JB
I pull out the battery to stop the bootloop, then put it back in and get in recovery mode with three-buttons combo, then flash again the rom, it shouldnt bootloop again.
I started with last solution (remove battery and flash rom again) and it has worked out! The thing is that after removing the battery and flashing it again, "another" recovery mod is loaded and then it all goes perfect. So, thanks all for the help!
Yes as it changes the partition table and needs a different recovery to handle it properly

Unable to Boot Note n7000 after Firmware Flashing

Hello XDA,
I Need some help with My galaxy note n7000, its was purchased from Kogan, and was in German when I first got it,
I have not been able to find anything on this Forum yet so;
I Had ICS 4.0.4 installed, Stock, and wanted to try CM9
so after rooting and installing CWM I backed up my device, and flashed the "Safe" CM9 kernal with Odin,
My device now hangs on the Boot up screen, and All I can do is the Download files from Odin, I have tried flashing many different kernels and re installing the Stock Rom (it says leaving CS?), without any Luck,
I am wondering if I need a different Rom, and am currently trying to download the Gingerbread roms in an attempt to roll back,
Any help would be appreciated guys and gals.

did u wipe in cmw when u were in ics??
if yes... sorry to inform u that u may have bricked ur device
try this link to revive ur device http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667886...
if this also fails u ll have to go to samsung service center to get it repaired...
after flashing CM9 kernel your device will not boot up, its natural , a TW rom will not boot with CM9 kernel
you should have entered recovery with three button treatment and done your wipes and flashed CM9 and gapps.
i dont know at what point you are right now,
try flashing a rootable GB rom with pc odin in download mode, then root it ...then get into recovery and flash CM9 etc etc
if you are bricked your flash will stop at factory fs in pc odin..... (fingers crossed)
A cm9 kernel for TW, of all the poor luck!

[Q] [HELP] Bricked i9001

I tried to flash a new ROM on my Galaxy S Plus i9001. After I did that my phone kept trying to boot and the samsung animation keeps showing on the screen but the system does not load. I tried to fix the problem by flashing a stock rom with Odin but the problem persists. I cannot go into recovery mode. I can only go into download mode. I also tried oneclick unbrick but it still does not work. Please HELP! I am STUCK! Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!!
Which ROM you were before this happens, and what ROM you are trying to install. If you want help, help you first. Hardly anyone here has a magic ball. Give some info...

Well it had CyanogenMod 9 ICS 4.0.4 on it and I tried to flash a stock ROM (Gingerbread 2.3.6). Now all I get is a bootloop
Have a try with bootload fix.

First you need to flash a custom ROM based on Gingerbread(Ginger Revenge, Shadow0-Rom, broodROM Business Edition v1.2 ...) via CWM, and then flash with Odin. Although the phones are the same model, they not have a same work. Try also a CWM>wipe all. Almost every time, if i come back from 4.0.4 to stock 2.3.5 with Odin, i got a bootloop. Don't worry, be happy. Just flash custom GB, then live your live...:victory:
