Calleranimation - LG Optimus 4X HD

Hi everyone,
I m new to posting here, but I m a regular reader of the forums.
I have a question about the screen you get when being called. Sometimes I get this lightgrey screen where you have to double tap the answer button and sometimes I get a darkgrey screen where you have to drag a green circle across the screen to answer.
Is there a difference between callers or am I overlooking something?

Tap the answer button when calls come in while you are using the phone (the phone is unlocked), silde the green circle when the phone is in standby mode. Hope this answer your question.
p.s. I only need to tap the answer button once to accept the call.

That makes sence!

[App] Soft Buttons Lights always on!

New here in the HTC one area so please forgive me if this topic was already covered. Being new to the HTC phone I wasn't liking the soft button lights turning off during the day light so this app basically keeps button backlight always on, as long as the screen is on.
Confirmed working with HTC one. KiNDA

UPDATE: The soft lights turn off on occasion and I have to toggle the power button to turn the light back on. Bug I guess but quick minor temp fix by hitting the button
UPDATE 7-/4/13: According to solid.snake (see quote below), Capacitive Buttons Brightness Works well

It allow to keep the keypad backlight on as long as the screen is on, or it can simply switch the keypad backlight off.

Are you able to see the button lights in the daylight? They seem kind of dim to me.

Hi i just got thephonenewand i had a question. My power button doesnt push down like my other phones its more like a light touch. Is that supposed to be like this? Or is the power button supposed to be more elevated. Btw it completely works

Nice username.
Yeah, the One has a very stiff button, so you're going to get almost no tactile feedback when you press it. That's how it's supposed to be. If you don't like it though, there are several mods floating around this forum on ways you can raise its profile (like painting on clear nail polish).
Or just bypass it almost completely and use the modified kernels for slide to wake or double tap to wake. There's also a few other long press options too. At least that way you only use then power button to turn on and off the phone.
There also appear to be options for turning screen off through the eqs, although I haven't been able to get those to work for me. Sweep2wake/sweep2sleep is awesome. Also a great little show off for your non rooted friends!

Why does it vibrate like 5 seconds after lock?

Like the title says, I'm wondering why the phone quickly vibrates twice like 5 seconds after a screen lock. Anybody else notice this?
EDIT: actually I noticed its only when the screen is touched after its locked? Pretty annoying.

Weird mine doesn't do that at all. You got an app or anything running in the background perhaps causing that?

Under Controls -> Motions there is a setting for "Smart Alert". That's probably what you are feeling. It vibrates when you pick up the phone and you have a notification and the screen is off to let you know there is something you missed.

I was kinda close about an app causing it lol
I have the same problem, you dont have to touch it. Smart alert is turned off. When I lock the screen itll vibrate twice a few seconds later. I cannot figure out what it is and it just started after the android 9 update

I have the same issue on my Note 10+ and cannot find a solution. Smart Alert is already turned off so it is something else. It happens if the volume is set to sound or vibrate and the only way to stop it is to set the phone to silent. Hopefully someone here can share an actual solution.

[Q] Screen On

Curious how come when I get a notification for lets say... Google Hangouts, my screen doesn't light up ? Is there any way to change this.. or nothing can be done? Thank you.
Certain apps have the option to allow it. Personally it is horrible to have that. Say you get a notification in your pocket, there will be a ton of screen presses that happen when your screen turns on. It is also a waste of battery.

Most the times the notification light would come on. Top left corner
