I have flashed several builds of CM10 (21/08 -29/08) and found that it starts rebooting if something goes wrong with WIFI. Sometimes it goes continuous rebooting until I remove the battery. Sometime it starts but when I turn on WIFI it starts rebooting again. The only solution is to take the battery out and flash the ROM again to make it working.
Can someone please let me how to solve this problem?
Try fixing permission from recovery...

I have searched for the past thirty minutes and have not found a solution so i decided to post in the place where every person seems to know the answer to every question. Anyways, my tp succesfully got set up in ICS and WIFI turned on at first for me to do my original setup, but after rebooting to flash the charger fix and new kernel, my wifi will not connect. I tried a fresh install to make sure the kernel was not the issue, to no avail. When i try and slide the wifi on/off switch to on it just slides back and clicking on the button does nothing. I also tried to add the power widget to the main screen and hit the Wifi button from there, but that was also borked. Any help would be appreciated.
Try setting your router to a specific channel I put mine on 9 and it works now. I was having wifi issues after reboot but after setting the Chanel on my router they went away
If I forget my network, then reboot, then reconnect it seems to work fine. I tried a few other "fixes" I have read about and nothing else seems to work for me at this point...
The problem is not my network, its the fact that i cannot hit the "on" button for wifi

The OP did make the problem clear!
Looks like a reinstall may be needed.
try fixing permissions from CWM.
If that doesn't work, I suggest to have a look at the logcat entries while trying to switch on and off the Wifi, you may see the reason for the error there.
What version of CM9 is intalled? did you install any special kernel? What channel is your wifi on? (I changed mine from 11 to 1 and it's stayed connected for days now!)
Try a full cache and dalvik cache wipe in ClockworkMod. If that fails, then do a full wipe, re-install and try again from scratch.
This happened to me when I updated to Alpha 0.5. I had to go back and reflash the bricked kernel which i previously installed. I think he made a change to the wifi settings and if I remember correctly he told you how to go back to stock cm9 if you wanted to. But if you installed bricked before that's your problem, reflash it in CWM
bricked kernel uses a different WIFI module, so you need to have both in sync (kernel and driver).
If it worked on first boot, I presume he didn't change the kernel, so something else must be causing his WIFI to fail (fail to start, not fail to connect)
As we mention before, I will go for permissions, cache and get a logcat for the error
Permissions did not work so I wiped and started fresh for the third time....well I guess third time is a charm because I am posting from the TP right now thanks guys.
This morning after my phone became unresponsive I restarted it.
After restart it would just shut off during boot. Thinking this might me a ROM issue I then proceeded to wipe/factory reset but the problem continued
I restored a nand and it shuts off at the same spot, during boot.
I have now flashed several official firmware with Odin and still the same problem.
Could anyone shed some light on how to fix it?
Perhaps your battery is bloated?because my phone was once in that condition(unresponsive and restart like every 10mins) until I discover that the battery was bloated.
I guess there's nothing to be done, but I might as well try asking.
I had an issue with the tablet where it randomly shut the screen down. Haven't been able to figure out if it was a crash, it turned off or just the screen wouldn't turn on anymore.
So I figured I'd do a fresh install and flashed CM on it (had some other rom before). Same issue.
I tried installing yet another rom, but this time it turned off while installing.
Now it's stuck on the updating-Android-logo everytime I boot, both normally and with Power+Vol Down so I can't access fastboot or recovery that way. Leaving it on does nothing even after half a day.
Anything I could try or should I just scrap the thing?

Maybe its just the display connector inside the tab whitch is loosing the connection. but be careful opening the tab is pitty
Gesendet von meinem REMIX SK1WG mit Tapatalk
I've tried that but no luck :| At this point I'm trying forcing the update from the microSD with the original image.
I'll write back if it works for future reference.

Security Error: This phone has been flashed with an unauthorized software
I tried flashing the latest firmware and factory reseting
and even then the same symptoms however surprisingly when its setting up on optimizing app screen it doesnt reboot
or when its twrp boot screen it doesnt restart
I am not sure what to
Can someone please help me
latest update
so it turns out if i use a s7 ported rom where I need to flash a data fix and I dont flash the data fix my phone works fine
I obviously dont get any signals but it works fine and no reboots so if anyone has any clue of what the issue is
Phone keeps rebooting for some reason, I've tried MiFlash/EDL/TWRP, tried multiple roms, even original MIUI Global/Dev/Stable..
I can get it to flash/boot, but it won't stay on long enough, just reboots.
I've edited rawprogram0.xml to flash persist.img even did it in twrp terminal, still no go.
Only time it won't reboot by itself, is in EDL/FASTBOOT mode. It reboots itself in TWRP/recovery sometimes.
Phone dead? Or something else I can try.
My first thought was an UV/OC issue but you said it's happening in TWRP too. Have you tried running a custom kernel and played with different governors? At this point I am thinking it's a hardware issue; bad memory that may be causing reboots. Is there a memory test/disk scan you can do to determine the health of the two?

Try changing sim card, or just removing it.
Not very likely the problem, but easy to check.
