I cant turn on my phone. Help please.

I have this installed [ROM] CyanogenMod-6.1.0-RC1 for Hero CDMA
I was running wifi tethering and installing a game called chess.
I heard my phone vibrate quickly and the screen was black. I tried to turn it back on. But nothing. So I removed the battery and waited a couple minutes. I cant get it to come on.
So I plugged it into a charger and the red/orange LED is on as if it is charging.
The phone will not even attempt to start up
Any ideas?

Phone just seems dead to me... probably just needs to charge for an hour or so

If it's not charge up and running by now, you'll need a new battery.

Thanksgiving day I had my phone on but was doing things around the house and when I went to check my phone it wouldn't wake. Holding down the power button, nothing, it was dead. I know the battery wasn't drained. So I plugged it into my USB and the light didn't turn on either. I sat staring at the phone for a few seconds to troubleshoot and it suddenly began to boot up and after everything loaded I could confirm it was half charged.
I'm running the same version of Cyanogen as you. Are you using the original battery or 3rd party? Mine is 3rd party.
Have you had other strange occurrences leading up to this? Twice in a week I woke up to find my phone on even though I know I shut it down the night before and not accidentally rebooted.
Since I was able to get my phone to boot back from temporary dead the phone has frozen twice while texting. I didn't battery pull or anything, it just rebooted by itself after a few minutes. I plan on switching back to my old battery to see what happens.

Droid 3 stuck at Motorola dualcore screen

Last night I completely drained the battery by having a call and never shutting it off. I slept on them. Oops. This morning I woke up to find it completely dead. I hooked it up to a wall outlet, turned it on, and now it won't go past the Motorola dualcore screen.
When I pull the battery, plug it in, and leave it off. I can't. I can't turn it off. The only way to turn it off is to stop plugging it in. When I plug it in, it immediately shows the Motorola screen. Pressing the power button does nothing, it seems. If I press it, during plug in, WITH or WITHOUT battery, the Motorola screen is still there.
And also, I do not see a red light anyway on the phone when it's plugged in. Not charging?
Oh, also, this phone is NOT rooted. I'v only used this phone for like less than a week.

Try to charge it for an hour then try to boot.
If nothing works you could always reflash stock rom:

won't turn on/can't select any boot options

I have a new Motorola Atrix HD. I was using it and the screen went black. i hit the power button to unlock but nothing happened. i plugged it in but nothing happened. i took the back off to see if the battery was disconnected. I didn't know the battery was different than other phones and ripped the power cord connecting the battery to the phone when i took it out. lesson learned. Ordered a new battery and installed correctly. phone won't turn on. The green charge light blinks when i plug it into the wall and then stays on for about 20 seconds and then the phone tries to turn on but while the motorola icon is illuminated, it cuts back out and repeats the cycle. I left it plugged in for a couple hours and still the same thing. i tried holding in power and volume buttons for the boot screen. if i do that just as the phone attempts to turn on i can get the screen up and scroll the list of boot options with the power buttons but i can't select any of them and the phone cuts out after the same amount of time. Everytime. When i plug it into my laptop, the light blinks on and then stays on like with the wall, but the phone doesn't attempt to power up. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. i have read a lot of forums where the battery was acting up because of the chargers people were using. The difference between my situation and those of the people i read about is that my boot screen cuts out and cannot be used. This all happened 2 days after my exchange period ended and because i took the back off myself, best buy won't have anything to do with me so i'm on my own and cannot afford another phone right now. Thanks in advance for your time and concern.

Is it possible that the that connection between the power cord and the phone itself is loose or damaged? I'm just guessing here as I have never opened up the back of my phone.

I would check your battery terminals then leave it to charge if it does. You could also try a factory cable. Another thing would be to try fastboot while connected to your laptop and see if it stays on, and if it does, try reflashing all partitions.

Endless boot cycle, don't know if it's power or OS issue

I looked in the previous threads about non-booting but no one I could find had my issue. Bought the Nook HD+ about 4 months ago and rooted it and installed Android (not sure which version but cm11). Out of the blue, last week I pulled it out of my bag and the battery % was flipping between 1% and 31%, so I put some stuff on it via USB and then shut it down to charge. I plugged it in overnight and tried turning it on in the morning. All I was getting was the low battery picture, so I kept trying to charge it, but it wasn't charging, the power light would go to orange when I plugged it in, thena fter 3-5 seconds it would flip green and then turn off and retry. My assumption is the battery is dead, but it could be a corrupted OS now as I got it to charge long enough to get to the CM11 boot menu. But I even went out and bought a new charger and converter to rule that out and it still is stuck in the same boot sequence. I obviously can NOT charge this thing while it is off because of it's reboot loop, it can't charge. I'm not quite sure what is going on or whether it is a battery or boot issue but after I leave it for a big it freezes on the cyan picture (which is frozen on some scrambled version of it) until I turn it off.
I can't power it on enough to charge it to rule out the battery, I tried holding the power and n button for 3 seconds, letting go of the power, and then pressing it again to get into the recovery menu, but that isn't working either. And I prepared another SD card for a second flash for a corrupted OS and that didn't seem to work either.
I'm stuck here and I'm not sure what to do now to get it running again. I don't care about the data on my tablet at the moment.

Try plugging it into a PC USB port over night.

That's what I did that got it charged enough to get to try to boot, where it now shuts down. But now as it tries to boot it reboots, maybe from too much power consumption? I only had it plugged in for half hour or hour before that got it charged to the point where it boots to the logo screen. I have a feeling it is not charging because every reboot the light turns off (orange light stays on for like 5 seconds)
I will plug it in to my PC and charge it overnight and let you know what happens. It's interesting, I plug it in now and the orange charge light comes on, shows the Nook screen, then shows the low battery screen and shuts off, then the orange light turns off, but it remains plugged in... not sure if it is still charging but as I said, I will leave it overnight and see what that gets me.

No success. I can turn it on and the charging lights turns on for 5 seconds and shows the nook screen, then goes black and shows the low battery screen, then immediately shuts off and the charging light turns off and it no longer charges.

Any other suggestions? I can't seem to do anything with the Nook now.

Wont turn on at all. Was fine yesterday. Button's not doing anything

Hi all,
plugged my phone in overnight to charge as usual. Woke up this morning and it was off. I presumed it hadn't charged properly so plugged it into multiple other chargers/battery packs etc. and nothing is happening.
I have it plugged in right now and it's just all black and the charging light isn't even on.
If I press the power button, the charging light comes on, stays on for a few seconds then goes off.
If I press and hold the power button then nothing. If I press and hold the power+UP nothing happens, if I press and hold the power+DOWN nothing happens at all.
My 'guess' is that the battery is so knackered (3yr old phone) that it's depletion overnight just emptied the battery so much that it just wont recover now and take any charge.
Looking for any and all suggestions of things I can try.

Hold power, volup, and voldown simultaneously.

Try connect it to computer, boot in flash mode and flash FW via FlashTool. Possible is that the FW got messed up... everything is possible.

Managed to get it going finally. Wouldn't charge, didn't anything. Plugged it into PC, loaded flashtool and it recognised it. Nothing happened though so was talking to tech support and magically after like half an hour talking to them it suddenly booted with 1% battery life.
It'd now charged and running ok
