Changing apps names?

Is it possible to change the name of the apps? Like I am having Merriam Webster Unabridged and Medical too.. But the two apps are shown as "Medical" n "Unabridged" which has moved the apps in the app drawer to different positions.. I want to add "Merriam Webster" in front of their names.. Is it possible?

You should create a folder and put those apps in there. They'll be right next to each other.

If you have apk of that app, you can unpack it using apktool (search on google) .. change it's name in xml file, pack it back, sign and install it to phone.

With FolderOrganizer you can customize the name. You go into the program, and rename the app you want. Then instead of adding the app directly to the desktop, you press and hold, and add a shortcut, a FolderOrganizer shortcut, then choose the app you just renamed.
You can also customize the icon this way.

Can you plz tell which xml file are you talking about.. There is one androidmanifest.xml file.. But I cant find where to change the name.. Is it the correct file you were talking about?

Really, give FolderOrganizer a try. It is a very simple way to do it. You are trying to use a sledgehammer when a screwdriver would do.
I think FolderOrganizer will be perfect for what you need.

Open app drawer > Press Menu > Edit > Drag the icon you wish to use

I guess it will. You may have to uninstall existing stock launcher first. Just make sure you have another launcher installed when you remove it

just download the apk and install it.. done!!

did you edit it somehow from the framework-res? can you make one for Samsung Galaxy Fit? if you want the resources for you to be able to edit the apk I will post and attach it here for you, ill be waiting for your response mate

I tried it already on my Samsung Galaxy Fit tol, it's working well and I modified some things. I will not share the modified one though, if ever I wiill all credit still goes to you kabayan

you have to be on deodex rom if to install directly on stock rom coz it doesnt allow to install the modded file

I think no but haven't tested it.
I think after installation you have to push the home button. Then you will get
a screen which launcher you will use.

[SKIN] LG ICS weather widget for UCCW

Hey guys!
Ive made a custom skin for UCCW which mimics the cool yahoo ics weather widget. It isn't rly perfect as the yahoo icon and refresh icons aren't the exact images and there isnt the date and day of the week under the clock (cos i ran out of static text) but it still looks cool
Credit goes to mes215's i merely modded his version.
Pls let me know if u have the yahoo and refresh button icons or if u have any suggestions to improve the skin!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1: Install the UCCW app and open it
2: Hit the menu button and select "more" and "settings"
3: Enter your city into the weather thingie
4: Go back and hit the menu button again
5: Import the ww.uzip file
6: Save the skin (from the menu button once again) as any name u want
7: Go to ur home screen and add the 4×2 UCCW widget
8: When prompted select the skin u saved and ur good to go!
Please tell me if u meet with any more problems and I'll try to solve it asap

Erm it seems like there is indeed some problem can u try downloading and importing mes215's skin (link in the OP) first before importing mine? If it still dowsnt work i'll upload a new link
EDIT: Forget abt it I've uploaded a new file it should work now

That's because the weather is not working properly in the play store app. Download the one from the uccw thread (there's a link from the OP if I'm not wrong)

try to google "cm10/cm10.1 themes", or search directly for the inverted app (e.g. "cm10.1 mms.apk inverted")

Thanks for this. But it FC on change wallpaper. Also, google now on left panel isn't working after enabling, it won't swipe left.

Install both APKs as system apps.
EDIT: Even mentions that on the linked site right at the top
Note: To enable the swipe for Google Now gesture and stop launcher crashes when choosing a new wallpaper, you have to flash the zip file linked below via TWRP. Installing the APK works but it crashes when launching the wallpaper picker and you can’t swipe right for Google Now.

I flashed Dirty Unicorn and they have a blacked out one and it is working. I like the new launcher.

If you download their Team Black Gapps, you can download it from inside there. They also have different gapps packages that are black themed.
