Hi!
After installing CM9.1 RC2 in my Galaxy Ace, i found a few issues
01). Bluetooth not working
02). Battery is still charging but status shown as charged.
Anybody out there with the same above mentioned problems?
All known, please search before posting a new thread

Maybe but Bluetooth issue has been fixed (this is what i read in a few threads somewhere and also from the changelog provided by Maclaw). If bluetooth is a recognized prob then what about the battery status issue have provided.
Battery is charging but if i check the status when my phone is locked, it says Charged though i can see the Charging indication on my Battery.
*insert fp-pic here*
1.) Maclaws CM9 is currently abandoned. So no need to post issues of ROMs not under development
2.) Read the respective threads in Q&A/General for the new CM9 version by...lagloose (not sure. sorry if wrong)
3.) why opening NEW thread, if you could also spam the respective thread with things already known. you also use a new paper for every entry on your shoppinglist??
I installed this and have been getting the phone to turn to off screen even when I am using it anyone got the same issue?

And why it isnt on the normal SG2 too?
Sent from my GT-I9100G mit Tapatalk 2
I don't think it's a problem, with the new ICS formware finally my i9100g is going great! Solved many bugs of GB, good interface and performances.
But why it isn't on the normal SG2 version and only on the G version?
Maybe it can depend by the fact ICS was developed on OMAP architetecture?
Galaxy Nexus have the same amount of RAM.................
Thank you for your information.

The Galaxy Nexus was the first to run ICS, So it's fully compatible with it, but I9100G received the 4.0 after a long time, that means there were so many problems to solve. And I think this is one of them, I think it has relation with the boot or hardware resources.
According to me it's not totally correct.
Maybe Samsung engineers were occupied by S3 launch, so I9100G was put into the second floor

Hi,
I can't post on the Developer Forum because I don't have 10 posts yet.
Yesterday night I've installed CM10 nightly build on my P1000 and ROM looks really nice.
They only problem I'm having now is that it screen autorotate doesn't seem to work.
I've searched in the thread but couldn't find anything.
Do you know if it's a known bug or if there is a workaround for it?
Thanks
Sometimes it doesn't work.
Anyway, even when you can, please dont post in developer forum unless you are discussing code fix or things like that.

You can post bug reports in the thread belonging to the ROM you're running, that's fine. For your issue you're in the wrong device forum as you have the 10.1 tab not original 7" which this forum is for.
I've solved the problem installing Alroger CM10 ROM (2012/11/04) which includes HumberOS kernel.
The ROM is simply amazing and our old good tablet has never looked so fresh.
I was going to resume my VPN configuration to a CISCO router using Get-a-robot-VPN when I realized that AnyConnect is finally available.
VPN works like a charm and I can connect to my Linux & Windows box at work without any problem.
Pity that I can't post on the Dev forum yet but really thanks to all the great devs (Humberos, cdesai, Alroger, CM team and all the rest) who made this ROM possible.
Hey guys
I've been watching out the work of psyke83 by porting kernel 3.0.31 to msm7x27 devices in madteam forum and him next release of CM10.1 for Galaxy 5 (no ETAs) will already be using this new kernel, how you
can see in changelog maded by himself (http://madteam.co/forum/development-8/(dev)-cyanogenmod-10-1-galaxy5-port-(androidarmv6)/).
Considering the good things he comented in changelog by bringing kernel 3.0.31 to Galaxy 5, i'm wondering if developers here are already knowing that and if the same will occur to our Ace.
Will we have kernel 3.0.xx working on futures 4.2 based ROMs? Here is the link to the kernel development itself http://madteam.co/forum/development...el-3-0-8-porting-for-samsung-msm7x27-devices/.
Would be awesome if devs would implement latest 3.x kernel

Yea, this one was a fake, but i was talking about the real development that is being made by psyke and the others. I really expect to see our legacy devices (Ace, G5, Mini, Gio, etc) running this kernel with android 4.2.1
Could anybody please post the link to his kernel 3.xx sources here as I am not a member of the madteam forum and can't view links there for that reason?

Hey Guys,
I have P990 and I'm using CM10 nightly, and I really want to change ROM as this works really bad on my device.
I downloaded DjangoManouche X 1.6.1 and whenever I go to install, it goes through the first steps, then screen gets black and goes back to Clockwork Recovery. I tried with other ROMs and similar things happen.
What could it be?
Thanks|

if you're on an official cm nightly then you're on a old bootloader... django is on the new bootloader...
search dev thread for aio tools and how to switch to a new bootloader
edit:
or install one of cm based old bl roms outthere (there is also an old/new bootloader converter tool somewhere in dev thread as well but i don't know if it works for converting all roms - it worked for me on tonyp "the rom" roms up to build 26)

Well, just because it's the only ROM I can install. Still want to upgrade, but I can't do anything. USB isn't working, ROM from external SD don't install...
don't get me wrong, cm7 is a good rom (especially if you installed Temasek one + vadonka kernel) - battery is great with this combo (i was using that combo for almost a year until cm10/10.1/10.2 versions of tonyp roms + pengus kernels came out in the beginning of 2013)...
but cm10.2 has some usefull stuff and many improvements over cm7...
i can only suggest you to read some more threads in the developer section... moving to a new bootloader can give you some more benefits if you're into the newest roms (since the rom developers usually support only the new bootloader first, and then they make an old bootloader versions of their roms/kernels as well - or they don't - it's up to them and their free time)
i'm also considering to finally switch to a new bootloader - but i'm still waiting for the new cm11 (kitkat) roms and 3.1+ kernel to become stable enough for a daily use...
it's up to you to see what you need most out of the rom... but some reading before flashing is mandatory... if you've read some more - you'd already know your problem before i wrote my post and explaining the old/new bl issue...
once a week someone comes up with the same problem because he doesn't read about bootloaders or is just lazy to read the 1st posts in the rom threads...
i hope i helped... cheers

How is Cm10.2 working for you? Battery life/speed/etc
I had 10.1 I believe and it was horrible.
I can' install new bootloaders, etc...as I can't enter debug mode, nor do anything

your usb doesn't work when the phone is fully booted into the rom or it doesn't work for SW upgrade?

it was horrible if you used the official CM10.1 nightlies... not if you've been using tonyp cm10.1 based roms and pengus kernels... believe me...
currently i'm on the tonyp "The rom" build 26 + pengus kk126 kernel (no ram hack version)
battery lasts for almost 2 days with moderate use (around 3 hrs screen on + wi-fi on, some calls, some messages)
phone is snappy, i don't have syncs turned on in any app...
phone is oc-ed to 1500mhz (min 216, max 1500mhz), and if you care about the benchmarks - it gives a solid 9000+ in antutu...
for a 3 year old phone - i'm satisfied enough...
btw what version of cwm do you have?
your starting point can be here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737
and please at least read the 1st page of the thread if not all of it (for user comments)
there is also an option to install the correct windows drivers and a tutorial for windows 8 (i'm on win7 x64)
I've tried different ports, different cables, different copmuters...I've read that a lot of people have this issue though, especially after upgrading to CM7...which was my case. Ever since I haven't been able to do it

Hi,
I am new to android and just 4 days after buying the note 5,I am having a very bad battery drain.I lose like 30% in less than 2 hours when on idle and wifi off.I rooted and install arter97's custom kernel but no luck so what should I do ?
Thanks
I would try doing a complete factory wipe with stock Rom and kernel, not load any apps and test the battery drain overnight. I have 920i with OJ4 and I lose 3% overnight with data and wifi on.

In the final few pages @drketan makes the point that although you don't need a custom kernel after super su 2.6, it causes the phone not to go into deep sleep. He has published a fix which he is testing. Or you could just flash his ROM, which works brilliantly

I flashed stock using the smart switcher program and I don't know why but stock firmware is flawed as I didn't install any apps and still I would lose battery with wifi off and without using it ! I have attached a screenshot so is it normal ?
I also have this issue! Flashed multiple stock firmwares and have the issue. I have seen an IMPROVEMENT in Dr. KETAN's rom, but I prefer stock and no modifications. At the moment I'm on the latest stock firmware and am also experiencing this issue... When I get home after College I'll flash Dr. KETAN's rom.
I had also called Samsung to see if this is a known issue but they are unable to pin point the issue and think its a physical fault which it obviously isn't...
nvm
