[Q] Right-To-Left in new stock roms? - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I am Israeli, and therefore need support for right-to-left text in my galaxy ace.
I want to upgrade to a stock-based rom (maybe even just stock) as i heard the new ones have better performance and battery life.
Currently I am using Stocklite v6, and I am considering upgrading to v7.1 or the stock S5830XWKTM. (I believe StockLite v7.1 is based on S5830XWKTQ, which is also relatively new).
I have seen guides that use odin and several patches to add right-to-left support to older roms (like the one stocklite v6 is based on) and they worked. I have not seen evidence of them working on the newer ones, and am afraid to brick my ace.
Has anyone done this? Is there a guide for the new roms?
Thanks!

[Q] Best Firmware for Acer Liquid?

Hey guys,
I haven't upgraded my Acer Liquid in a while, the last ROM I loaded on was the BETA version of Froyo 2.2.
What is the best ROM/Firmware for my Acer Liquid now? Could you please direct me to a download?
I see a lot of different roms been thrown around but I need to know what is the best, opinions?
Thank You
I think you have to search at liquid.modaco.com. Some gingerbread rom and others.
Yeah, latest MIUI, LeoGinger, and CM7.0-Kang (my current choice atm) are all good roms me thinks. And also i've read that you should avoid the VFIT-based rom because of battery drain.
LeoGinger + 1
the most stable and problem-less 2.3 rom in my experience

[Q] Whether Rocket Rom V6

Hi Friends, I am at present on ICS Kingdroid V.2.0+S3 addon+Speedmod#3.3. Doing Fine. I am a normal user, do not know when extra functions I may use. I would like to flash now-either ICS Rocket Rom or Kingdroid3.0. I know every Rom got its own features, advantages, plus and minuses. Hence I seek your suggestions (further I am little nerveous while switching over roms). Thanks.

I have tried RockeRom V4.1, 5, 6 and Kingdroid rom v2, v2.1, v3. For my note I got about the same performance and battery life for all these version. I got the most performance from franco kernel r5.
I have tried RockeRom v 5, 6 and Kingdroid rom v3
Kingdroid is not stable and not battry life
Rocketrom is stable and battry life with the original kernel
I use now Rocketrom v6 with original TW and SIII launcher fast and stable.

[Q] Q: Is Custom Firmware Available with Localised Formatting for Phone Numbers??

Hi,
I am currently contemplating whether or not to replace the stock manufacter's firmware with a custom ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S I9000.
I have recently helped a friend to do the same with his Samsung Galaxy Ace and we successfully installed Cyanogen v7, which is based on Gingerbread 2.3.7.
However, there is a key issue with this firmware that has put me off going down the same route with my own phone. Unfortunately, the OS forces you to display your numbers in the traditional American format (XXX-XXX-XXXX). For me as a UK user, this just isnt' practical and has already caused some recognition issues with other apps on the galaxy ace.
I was wondering if this issue has been fixed in v10 of CM, or I was also looking at installing Helly Bean, if not, is anyone aware of some custom firmware that is friendly to UK users and offers the same features as CM?
Please folks, someone must know something on this subject? Surely all the custom ROMs out there can't be completely America-Centric???!
I appear to have made a mistake upgrading the standard firmware as the 2.3.7 release samsung have given me to upgrade my phone is the worse version of android I've used to date!
I have hellybean and it does not in fact I have never come across a ROM that does that I would personally tell your friend he should try another rom

Use Custom roms in S5830L ??

I friend has one Ace S5830L, and ask me if i can flash a custom rom with ICS or JB, i read the forum but i only see threads about S5830 and S5830i.
Is the S5830L compatible with all the things of S5830? (like CWM, custom roms, tutorials, etc) i want to be sure before try to flash anything because is not my phone
5830, 5830L and 5830B are compatible. Can use the same roms, kernels and scripts.
5830i, 5830M and 5830C are compatible. Can use the same roms, kernels and scripts.
But don't mix stuff from those groups (flashing things for 5830i on the 5830L will probably result in brick)
As far as ICS and JB for ace goes, the roms are still being polished (as no official version have been released by samsung), might have some bugs so check the threads. Gingerbread is by far the better android version for the galaxy ace in terms of stability, battery consumption and performance.

stock rom and derivates

hi , iam using slimroms since a rough year on my former sgs1 and now on my note 1 . i realized now that even i love the rom and all the abilities of newer android versions , i have to go stock because of the unreliable usb drivers that regularly break connection and have poor performance when running as storage device from within android . for that reason i was looking in the forums about the stock roms and came across those stock and tw based roms . my question is now are these stock roms wich got tweaked and rooted but inherit all the properiat drivers that samsung got in his version and will these roms provide all levels of hardware support that i need for reliable working. despite beeing stuck on 4.1.2 then . and are these stock kernels like phillz one also working with the hardware as expected . finally the question about the different carrier versions wich seem to be the thing for newer stock roms like xxlt9 etc ... what does this mean in regard to the rom as i only know this numbering from the radios . thank you , chris
