Occasionally I have to cycle the WiFi on my vivid to get connected to the internet. It isn't only when coming from WiFi sleep. It sometimes happens during use. The notification icon shows that I'm connected, I just get pages not loading and data errors. Is this a vivid thing or do I blame my home WiFi (2 different routers)?
I'd rather be brewing
I've never had this issue , mine always auto connects when in range but what I would do is put the power widget on one of the home screens and just click it off and back on if that helps

Hey everyone!
I've problems with right LED indicator. ex. If I turn wifi connenction ON, the right LED indicator starts blinking, what means that the wifi connection is ON. But when I turn device to stand-by( sleep mode), the right LED indicator stops blinking, what means that my wifi is OFF. So, if I I turn tytn on the sleep mode, I've no internet connection anymore, and I can't recieve emails.
Can anyone help me please to make LED blinking again?
PS. In the beginning was everything allright (the LED indicator was always blinking when device was in sleep mode and wifi was ON.
PS 2. I've tried to hard reset the device twice, but it doesn't helped.
Thanks for your help!
I've just found out that if I put earphones in the device, and turn stand-by on, the problem dissapear.
I don't know what else have to do.
Wifi doesn't normally stay on while in sleep mode, hence the disconnection when it goes to sleep mode. However, you can change that with Kaisertweak, there is an option in there to keep wifi on in standby mode.

But the first week was everything ok. The wifi connection was always on, even in stand-by. This is not normal. I've seen some video reviews on youtube, and there was also everything ok. I saw right LED pinking when TYTN was in sleep mode.
For some reason, starting this morning (have had tilt for couple months) the data is disconnecting and reconnecting all day.
It generally just stays connected all day. I think this is sucking battery life down.
Tilt flashed with HTC ROM
Any ideas ?
Thanks !
UPDATE : it's doing it every 30 seconds, by my count.
UPDATE #2 : it was emoze doing it, turned off "auto fix connection" and it's back to normal. not sure how that got turned on.

i believe your phone always charges at the same rate unless you have bad cells in your current batter, which you most likely dont
my g1 also does the same thing, this is because your phone is using 3g (or edge depending on connection) as well as wifi at the same time, for heavy data traffic. This, along with other processes running on your g1, cause the battery to die quicker than normal usage. The only thing id suggest is to turn off wifi, and aut sync and so on while using wifi tether, also turn your screen off while tethering, basically anything to limit the power consumption of your g1 to a minimum. But even then, when downloading large amounts of data to my netbook, my g1 still does die, its a slow death, but its inevitable for me.
Same thing with my phone, so it's not isolated. I think it's due to a known problem of the battery not reporting the correct level. I have found that a reboot or shutdown and reboot usually works well, also, I don't know if it's related or not, but leaving the phone sitting on a well ventilated surface and having it lcd screen down seems to keep it cooler and the charging normal as well. I hope the battery level thing gets fixed soon.
Wootroot pretty much said it all.
So is there a usb tethering app other than pdanet? Pdanet seemed pretty slow when I used it b4......
I have my htc hd7 for 4 days now and i had no problem with the phone so far except a few hours back, when i left my wifi on (i usually turn it off after using) while i continued with my work on my computer. Suddenly the phone vibrated and restarted itself in front of me, i picked up the phone and felt that the lower back of the phone was quite hot.. Turning off the wifi seems to have allowed the phone to cool and no random restarts thereafter.. Anyone encountered the same?
I used wifi for 4 hours (after that the batt was empty) on my hd7 and it was only a little warm and it didn't reset it self .
No such problem here
No problems here. I leave Wi-Fi on all the time when at home, for many hours sometimes, with no overheating issues or random resets.
Ok.. Must be something else that I did.. Anyway I noticed that the phone has notification LED light for missed called but not for unread text messages. Any1 knows how to enable it?
No problem here either. Use wifi as soon as I get it in range.
Mine does this to. It gets super hot at the bottom especially when wifi is on. Im guess that is where the CPU is or the WiFi chipset. About time to exchange.

I noticed this twice. I plugged it to an ac outlet and it began to sync with Zune on PC. I was adding a bunch of new playlists and after a while I caught it restarting. At first i was excited; i thought T-Mobile had sent out an update or something. picked up the phone to embrace the new goodies and then felt the warmth of the phone.
I turn off wifi now to prevent Zune sync unless I need it.
Hey Guys,
Got my brand new GS5 on Tuesday this week but I've run into a pretty major data connection issue and I'm unable to identify a root cause for it.
Essentially, when I leave my phone on overnight I wake up with no data connection. The wifi is disconnected, and even though my phone shows it is picking up the network, I can't load any sites or do anything using LTE. Additionally, the wifi isn't only disconnected, the wifi function is literally turned off. When I try to toggle wifi back on, the toggle goes a light shade of green, like it's stuck trying to turn back on, and never turns on.
Eventually I have to restart my phone and it works just fine again. This has happened on 2 of 3 mornings since I've purchased the phone and only seems to happen after extended down time for the phone. I'm thinking of exchanging the phone (this would be my 3rd GS5 as the first one didn't recognize any headphones.)
Any ideas? Anyone else seen this?
Thanks!
