I bought the above for my HTC one,I have set the 2 up and I'm really disappointed with the both of them.
At 1st it took 4 attempts to pair the A100 with my One, once connected and playing music ,I'd say every 10 seconds or so the sound will cut for a second and then kick back in, it automatically comes back on but it's very annoying and the fact I expected it to work flawlessly.
Once I connect the One to the A160 dock (with the A100 connected) the lag is beyond a joke theres a 1 second delay before the sound comes through my car speakers.
Anybody else experience this,I'd like to keep the both of them but when I've spent not far off £100 I expected a lot better to say the least

did you try disabling WiFi while using the BT-stuff? Worked perfectly for me.
No ,I'll give that a try hopefully that will fix it

i had the same issue with all of my five BT-Devices. Disabling WiFi did the trick. As this wasn't any good solution for me, because i love listening to web-radio over BT, i should say that you can easily switch WiFi back on after you successfully connected to the BT-Device. It won't interfere then.
Problem is known to HTC and as i heart, it already is fixed in the OTA-Update that arrived in Taiwan.
Seems to have done the trick thanks for your help

Got my new one replacement from 3 yesterday and most of the handset is perfect
I can see a little defection on the plastic between the glass and the body but my wife says she cant see it , but I know its there so it will bug me
however ive just been checking light bleed and my screen at the top isn't fully sealed
Do I reject the handset and get another replacement ?
Get that **** replaced, you have 2 years to live with that phone, and it doesn't cost you anything to get it replaced.

Just speaking to 3 ... they can replace again - my thoughts entirely .... should be perfect but it isn't
annoying thing the fault I had before is not apparent on this handset grrrrr
Am also with three, received my second handset yesterday and have a third one coming Monday, which they assure me will be inspected before it leaves them.

third handset en route to me also will be with me on Tuesday .. not good is it if this third handset has faults
im swapping to the s4 which pains me
hopefully the 3rd handset will come from the new batch - what was the fault with yours ?
fingers x for you - let me know how you go on
Can you guys post the first half of your serial numbers to check what batch these replacements are coming from?
They also said that I can keep getting the phone replaced if it's faulty as long as next time I don't connect the phone to wifi/the network next time, as it's still 'new' in their books if you do that.

First had hissing behind the audio, this one has gaps/overhangs, as well as the audio issue. Serial is HT33JW, so 18th of march in Taiwan.

HT338W what ever that means
3 cant stop you connecting to the internet , if a handset is faulty its faulty - what happens if you connect it and then find
the microphone doesn't work ?
You're right, they still have to replace it of course, but they're easier to deal with if you don't connect it to stuff. Personally I don't have problems with them replacing it but others have had issues with them giving them more than 1 replacement.

Ill completely check my handset then before connecting
I usually buy unlocked handsets but as said have always been with 3
this is the first handset from 3 for some time - bit unusual 3 faulty handsets
I was being picky with the small issue with the plastic round the glass but wont put up with glaring light from the top !
If my serial is HT338W (which was the same as my first handset)
which batch does it come from ?
Is it the same as yours ?
That's the 8th of march I think, same factory. Could you check the audio if you have time please? Connect some headphones, turn the volume down to the lowest on a quiet song, is there any background noise, a hissing noise?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
The batch from 8th of March from either factory (HT or FA) seems to be the one causing problems. I am due a replacement, hope I get a later batch. If the serial number is printed on the box, I will check first before unwrapping the replacement.

course ill have a look for you when I come home
if my next one is the same start of serial its going back without even opening it
I think in the countries where HTC One has already released, getting a replacement doesn't necessarily mean that you'll get a good one because you are getting from same batches again.
I'm hoping us getting a month late will help about those kinda problems.
Just spoke to 3 to ask them to check the handset before it is dispatched they advised they can't open the box
I asked them to check the serial number again they can't do this
Pot luck also 3 handsets is max if next one is faulty they well have to collect the handset asks check it before any more replacements
Fingers x next one is fine or I'll be less than impressed

Weird thing about the handset I've got at moment till I get my 3rd replacement the heat is a lot higher .. I've been surfing for a bit and it's hot to touch didn't notice that on my first weird

How strange, any new apps? If the third phone is no good I think I'll wait for the s4, which would be a real shame.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
None that I can think of it's cooled down again
Not sure how it goes when I've took out a new 3 contact and paid my old off can I don't delay my contact if the handset isn't for for purpose ?
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
If you don't connect the phone to either their network or wifi then you have a 14 day cooling off period, when you can cancel your contract. Not sure how it works with paying off your old one. They offered me different handsets over the phone, they might try to charge a couple of quid extra for the s4 but I doubt it will be a problem
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Alas I'm over 14,days and connected my first handset to the network so I'm stuck with contact which isn't a problem as I make good use of the internet and get good coverage with them (I took me contact our and paid my old one of)
Would have to use not fit for purpose but I'm hoping the 3rd is ok

I am just posting that the on board speakers died on my phone. They aren't blown as headphones don't work either. I can only hear anything on a regular phone call as speakerphone doesn't work either. I have restored my one to stock as I am doing a rma on it. Anyone else ever experience this?

Maybe the built in amp died!?

Possibly since it's only amped audio that does not work

Do you have bluetooth speakers? Try that and if it works it's probably the amp imo. If it doesn't it might be your audio driver. Either way your probably going to have to get a replacement or a repair.
Have you called HTC and troubleshooted with them yet?

Yea I contacted AT&T my provider and they are shipping me another one. I had cm10.2 on it when it stopped worked but even returning it to stock had no effect. I just posted here to see if anyone else had experienced this issue.

Not closely similar to this, but I'm about to claim for the SECOND time that the top speaker is junk. The first phone it blew leaving it distorted and fuzzy. This one, all of a sudden overnight it sounds like a crazy vibration coming from the speaker. Kinda hard to explain... But it sounds absolutely terrible. So I'm going to fastboot the RUU and see if that makes a difference. If not its going back for another

Hey guys and girls of the xda community
I just wanted some advice on flashing a custom rom if possible?
My doubts and concerns arose when my first HTC one wouldn't charge whatsoever, and since then I'm a little bit sceptical about flashing a custom rom in case it happens again in which case HTC or my network provider won't replace my phone again.
Is the whole "not charging" thing related to hardware or software?
Just wanted some advice before I get back "in the game" for the want of a better phrase
Thanks guys and girls

I've had my One 5 months now and when I got it I vowed to keep it stock.... a week later I was up and running with ARHD and have run every version since then without any charging issues. Don't know if this will help your decision.

I don't think I could ever blame a charging issue on a ROM. And if it was somehow related you'd see it posted all over.

I can't say one way or the other to be 100% sure.... wait and see who else reponds
I got my one in March 2013, flashed it to death, including GPe conversion.
Then after many months I got a charge problem.
Phone would charge extremely slowly when screen on, no more than 200 to 300mA.
My first thought was I had caused with error in flash. I had two genuine HTC charger, one new with HTC One and other from One X. Swapping chargers didn't help.
Eventually ordered another genuine HTC charger and cable, result charges at 800 to 900+ mA when screen on.
Problem solved: cost £16 ($25)

I have messed with with roms and jailbreaks a ton and have never had any issues that made me think I broke it. You probably had a hardware issue and were just hypersensitive. There are some software options on a few of the roms to allow quick charging. I bet you 10 to one you had a legit hardware issue or your charging gear was bad. The cords break all the time around the entrance to the phone....iphone android doesnt matter. They all fail to reenforce these areas of the chords. I would start there.

Well I've been a good boy since I have had my one well all of 2 days. I am fairly curious about the rooting possibilities and what types of tons are out there to try.
I have always rooted every Android phone straight out of the box but decided not to with this one. I'm enjoying the stock feel Bart life is really good haven't run out of batt in 24 hours YET.
Since I'm new to HTC devices any tips from you guys before I **** up and brick it lol
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
It's safe to root right away, maybe give it a day or two more to see if it has hardware defects.
This is a hard phone to brick in my opinion.
