I'm just curious if anyone else is having an issue with their data dropping out on a stock D3.

Mine has been fine. What ROM stock are you running? The very first ROM that Verizon released is buggy but doihg an update to 5.6.890 is a good idea.

I believe she is currently running that.

Then you need to call Verizon Tech Support and tell them the exact issue from another phone besides the one ailing. A couple simple suggestions: do a *228 options 1 and 2, and make sure it is set to Home Only on roaming. Another possibility is the battery saver data manager is running and making it so it shuts off data during specific times and comes on when the screen is on. Make sure the wireless isn't set to Global but CDMA only.

We tried all of that. Thanks for the suggestions though. Nothing seems to work though. We just got this phone like a week ago because her other was doing the same thing. The new one did it while I was on the phone activating it lol. She's tired of it and I'm tired of hearing the complaints so I told her to sell it because she wants an iPhone.

When I text I get duplicate replies. It did not do this under stock rom which was .902. I upgraded to Eclipse 2.2 and when I did that if I texted then I get duplicate replies always 2. I have a friend that has upgraded it Liberty 3 and he has the same problem.
I have a Bionic.
Hell I've gotten as many as 9 copies of the same reply. That's while using handcent, got duplicates with stock app as well.

I also get this occasionally. One time I had to reboot because it would not stop receiving

Occasionally, I will get multiples as well. Sometimes 10 or more.
I use Go SMS on 902 / Eclipse 2.2.
Really annoying.
When you notice it starting do a battery pull. Its not the ROM. Its the app..
Look through the settings and make sure that in the stock you change the time stamp settings to no stamps. And if using go make sure the avoid duplicate messages is checks. It cured me.

Removed full time stamp in settings on default SMS. Will see if it corrects issue

Two days now and no duplicates. Reverting back to timestamp to see if it comes back.
Oh wow, and here I thought it was just me having this problem.
I'll have to try out the timestamp toggle because nothing is worse than getting the same message 10 times in a row.

So a few days past with no issues after reverting the timestamp however last night I got multiple duplicate text messages from the same contact. Three texts in a row x three texts received. Then it stopped. I find it strange that the timestamp appears to be the problem. Oh well, removed timestamping again.
Can be a cell tower problem sometimes. Either the tower you are near or the tower whoever is sending to you is near.
Or they just sent it 3 times on accident
I've been having the same issue. Called Verizon and they said it's a hardware issue with the Bionic. They're sending me a white Razr to replace it.

How did you get a Razr, my guy said he could only send me another Bionic?

This would be my fourth replacement Bionic, and I asked if I could get a different phone and first she told me the Razr was taken off the replacement list but she'd email her supervisor if it was put back on. While she waited for a response, she said I could get the HTC Rezound, and I declined. She then said the Razr was available in black, and I asked nicely if I could get white and she said yes it's available.

Cool so just keep finding reasons to send them back, then ask for a razr

Im sure that'll work. I believe in the 3rd replacement you're allowed a different phone

My husband and I are having this issue or not being able to send or receive at all. We've been having to reboot every few hours.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC
off topic, but my replacement rezound comes in tomorrow, this didn't take long with the phone's ability to drop data like it's no one's buisness
The Bionic is my first android that I haven't had to send back to Verizon other than the Droid 2 they sent me as a replacement to the Droid Eris, and I had to go through 6 of those first.

Im getting this multiple text also... Is this happening to rooted bionics only or both.? Im rooted w/ eclipse 2.2...
I am in northeast Pa. in certain areas when I power the phone off and power it back on a message screen appears saying you are on international global roaming and you have to accept or decline. Off course I check decline.
Has anyone else seen this
Bionic on 2233 ICS leak.
I've seen it on 905. That seems to be when it first showed up as I frequently am on the border with Canada.

So you're able to roam in Canada?
Sent from my XT894 running ICS
CDMA is available in Canada so any Verizon phone will roam there.

I had the same thing happen on my bionic while I was in West Virginia. Called Verizon, they said it's nbd, and won't incur extra charges. I did record the conversation though. I'd suggest you do the same, out get it in writing.

Hello all, I am new to typing here but not reading. Most of my android knowledge has been acquired through XDA via searches but I have not found a concrete solution to my issue at hand and would like some help. I picked up an Atrix HD on craigslist basically because I always wanted one. I had the Atrix 4g which crapped out and I still have a nearly new lapdock. I switched the plugs around and plugged in the AHD and get horrible black bars. As I have read they did away with the overscan feature in settings so I am looking for an alternative. I would even be ok with downgrading to ICS if that's the only option. Preferably I was hoping someone knew of a ROM that came with overscan or if there was a way to add overscan back to the settings menu...or something. Oh, and the AHD is on stock 4.1.1 rooted. Thanks much.
According to skeevydude, the lapdock works on ICS only.

That seems to be what I've been reading. Now I just need to find a still living ICS Rom.

There isn't an ICS ROM other than some stock zips...you'd be better off flashing the fastboot -- The Bell fastboot doesn't have the tethering restrictions like the AT&T ones.
I have the option to give a family member my GS4(I got the Nexus 4, because even CM doesn't run that great on the S4, let alone Touchwiz) for their upgrade, and the only phone I would want that's out on AT&T is the Moto X. I've got a few questions about the device.
How hard is rooting the AT&T moto X?
Can the annoying AT&T logo at the top be changed, through something like Xposed?
Is it possible to rub off the AT&T logo on the back without damaging it?
Did moto bake in battery percentage in the notification bar?
I understand that AT&T's contacts crap in infused with the stock contacts app( maybe, I remember hearing that somewhere, I could be wrong). If I remember right and it's there, can it be deactivated/deleted through titanium or something similar after root?
Would it be a better idea to just get the unlocked version through MotoMaker?
What's the advantage of getting the Moto X over the Nexus 5?(I'm gonna buy the N5 regardless at some point, just wanting some opinions on that.)
Thanks in advance.
