Where do you put your phone with display above 4 inches? I mean they are very huge. Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Note.
I keep two of my phones in cases that I wear on my belt. The third I keep in a case (same kind, can be worn on belt), in my messenger bag.
Disclaimer: I have the SGSIII, One X, and the Amaze. (I had the Galaxy Note at one point)

I hold mine allot, just carry it around in my hand. If its not in my hand or within arms reach from me, it's in my pocket.
I had a hell of a time with that when shopping for my wife's last phone with her. Most women's clothing with pockets can barely fit a flip phone. Her G2 usually sticks out a half inch. Being addicted to physical keyboards, she'll soon have the Galaxy S Relay, which will pose a bigger problem and just end up in her purse.

Maybe have a larger model for big hands and old people but we can still go thinner and lighter.

If they get any thinner it'll be like trying to type on toilet paper
Or we could ask them to stop locking the phone down then wrap the phone with a mix of silicon cases and turds.
Or just put an extended battery in there. It will make your phone thicker and you will get better battery life.

BTW the thoughest phone i know is the nokia 6070 and i have a story for it also
So a year ago a friend of mine had a nokia 6070 and he was desperate to destroy it to get a new phone. So everyday at school he tried to get rid of it:
He threw it to the walls, ground etc but still no succes. We actually played football with it(no succes)
And my friend still have it and its fully functional(altough it's very scratched)
This is what I call a brick-phone

Hi guys thought you might like to make one of these... dead easy.
Use a piece of string to hold a case from opening flat, and use the little tabs which usually hold the game / dvd booklet inside the case as perfect little feet to hold your tablet.
Just bend the booklet tabs outwards and the Nexus 7 fits PERFECTLY on them. It's funny how perfect the tablet sits on the case. It's nearly identically DVD size, if the case was just a little larger it would double as a carry case AND stand

Broke it!
I ended up making this case in much the same way, though my string was actually some spare ribbon I found on a cat toy. Worked perfectly, but I ended up breaking one of the little booklet holders on the DVD case which made my stand lopsided.
Shouldn't be a problem on the next one now that I know to push more slowly. Cool DIY, thanks!
I like this idea. I love homemade options.
Another cheap trick is to use one of the stands from a one-a-day tear off desk calendar.... you know the black plastic, with a kick stand in the back and two tabs on the front that hold up the paper, and are sold at those calendar kiosks around Christmas...... works great....once the pages are gone
This is great, thanks for sharing.

My daughter has the Dr Dre Beats in ear plugs. There is no sound coming out of the left your bud. I believe it is a build up of ear wax, which seems to be pretty common with the in ear style.
She tried to clean the wax off the speaker mesh but all it looks like she's done is press the wax down under it........
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this problem? Thanks.

LOL. A little high-strung are we??? Try wiping with hydrogen peroxide. It will breakdown the earwax. Not sure about the water proofing on those buds. Check that out. I would not immerse them. But, they may be able to be immersed then left to dry for several days.
Side note: You can use left over hydrogen peroxide on your, or your daughter's, ears. LOL I use it all of the time.

Yea. Had to remove the bottom brace but it pops right off. If you offset the phone a little you can avoid the volume and power buttons. Just be sure everything is good and tight. Have a case on mine so I didnt use the extra inserts they provide. Gonna slap a NFC sticker on it tomorrow since I decided thats going to be my long term mount.
The work truck I use is very rough on anything mounted. Im not kidding my truck eats anything it dosnt like. This mount once set is rock solid im still impressed.

Does no one seem to mind it severely limits the use of the controls to the head unit?
In fact, I would say it's a danger while driving that you would have to look at the controls for some time to manoeuvre your fingers around it to touch a radio preset button etc.

It depends on where your cd player is. I never mess with things when I'm driving just when I'm stopped. I don't even talk on my phone that much in the car. It's crazy what you see people doing while driving these days. Saw a lady reading a book the other day. Yikes!
