Hello,
first of all sorry for my bad english. I have a problem with my phone and really need your help.
So, what happened:
yesterday I installed baseband 521 V20s and Django Manouche custom rom. I didn't like the rom very much so I decided to move on an another rom. I chose ParanoidAndroid 11. I installed it from CWM, like it should be installed, but then I got a problem. The phone stucked on boot animation (image of paranoid android in the middle of the screen and little androids falling down like raindrops). And nothing happened for 5-6 minutes so I pulled out the battery and turn on again a phone. Then I got message that goes something like this: "optimizing applications" and when it finnished, I over again got boot animation and nothing happened. I waited for 10 minutes, and then finally the boot animation stopped and screen went in black. It respond to touch (soft keys got light when I touch phone), but black screen doesn't disapere.
So, what to do? I didnt do nandroid backup, I erased Django rom from internal sd card so I cannot flash back to it via CWM. The PC doesn't recognize the phone any more so I can't put new rom to internal sd card. I did, however, manage to put the rom to external SD card, but in CWM recovery, it says that "Can't mount sd card".
What should I do??
I hope that you understand my description of problem and that you can help me.
Easiest way is to boot into CWM. Under "Mounts and Storage" choose "Mount USB Storage". You should be able to copy a new ROM to the internal SDCard from your computer.
If that does not work, search this forum for guides on how to use "Smartflash" or "NVflash".

Reflash ParanoidAndroid after a full wipe (cache, system, data, dalvikcache) without flash other kernel or gapps. Then reboot it should work

@TrymHansen
When I do that in CWM, Windows ask me to format card. What should I do?
@Gjot
Unfortunately, that didn't help me.

Try a factory reset in CWM. (Or wipe /data and /cache).
This should hopefully fix your boot loop.
And when windows asks you to format the card then do it.
Could be that it got corrupted (which would be the reason why CWM can't mount it).
You will loose all data on it, but it looks lost, anyways.

What options should I choose? What "File system", "Allocation unit size"? If I use default options (Fat and default allocation size) Windows pops up this message: "Windows was unable to complete format."
Should I try with another sd card?
Anyway, I did some research and find out that I could use adb to push rom to the phone. But, I stuck there also. I finally found out how to open adb (and even what is it) but when I use command "adb devices" to test if it works, I got "List of devices attached" and nothing else
I know that problem is in drivers, but I dont know how to resolve it.
I finally solved it.
Thanks to PaulOBrien and NVflash.
Now I'm back to froyo and have unrooted device but it works!!!!

Hi all,
I downloaded the modaco update-nexusone-FRF50-signed.zip, and flashed my stock 2.1 (out of the box) nexus one rom, it worked well for about 9 hours, i plugged it into my car charger and when i took it off, it froze, and the touch screen disabled. Now im trying to reflash the rom and keep getting stuck at E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1, then E: Can't mount SD card
Any ideas on how i can get this working again?
Thanks
reinsert your sdcard, I have issues where the sdcard doesn't sit properly. This is assuming your using a2sd
i have a few times, same thing keeps happening, is there anything else I can try before I chalk it up to hardware malfunction and send it in to get a new one.... i reaallly dont want to do that
im also tried different sd card, and none of them have worked.

Well..... I wouldn't consider it to be a hardware malfunction yet.
1. Have you tried a non-apps2sd rom, like Stock Froyo
2. Have you tried completely reformatting your SD card on your desktop, while using a MicroSD to SD to USB converter or something of that sort. You'll need to delete all the partitions as you won't be able to see the EXT partiton in explorer, use disk manager
3. Have you tried using a different SD card?
4. Maybe you should completely wipe all the device in fastboot, maybe something is screwy, maybe even reinstall your recovery image
Try these things, then come back with results. We can diagnose issues after some of these troubleshooting techniques
i haven't tried formatting the card, but i have tried other cards with the update.zip flash, do you have a link to the stock froyo file
i think the problem is that the one i downloaded wasnt legit, and i have wiped the device in fastboot, the problem is that something is wrong with the touch screen, when it relaods from rebooting, it will get to the touch the android welcome screen and wont register any touch screen input, only volume up/down, trackball, and power button
okay, i tried formatting the sd card, and putting the update.zip file on it, and the same error occurred, when i tried to flash in recovery mode.
any update on what i can do to fix this?
Flash the original recovery image. You can find it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614057
You would do this through fastboot. Its easy, try that out
how do you do it through fastboot, i've only flashed through recovery

Put the img file on your sdcard, boot into fastboot, it should automatically check for the image and you should get a prompt asking for you to continue installing the image
no luck, it doesnt search for the image. When i enter fastboot, it just shows four options: bootloader, reboot, reboot bootloader, and power down

Then I would say something is faulting with your SD Card or your SDcard slot. I would try and take a very small ammount of rubbing alcohol and a q-tip to the contacts of your SD card, but there is no way to get into the slot without damaging it. If you have to do a warranty replacement just state that yes your device is bootloader unlocked but you're a developer and it is necessary to unlock in order to better serve the android platform
i wanted to flash from gingerbread to miui
so i read i had to wipe my cache and i did
i wiped
*Cache
*DevCache
*SD:ext
*battery status
well you guy know the wipe menu on rooted phones so yeah
after i did that i reboot my phone
plug it to my mac and try mounting it
and it dint work my nexus said unable to mount sd card
so i cant flash a diferent rom
now in addition to that ever since that my phone on boot screen where the lock icon apears it gets this green pixel like rain and then it goes away and boots up then it takes me to the welcome screen but im unable to get response from the screen only track ball and buttons work
so yeah if some can guide me trough some advice how to fix this ill apreciate ask for more info if willing to help
you could try mounting sd somewhere else like on a card reader getting a rom u know works wiping everything and then flashing that rom onto your phone
Wo this is a weird problem.
Ok well the first thing is what can you boot into (ex: hboot, fasboot, recovery, system) and does either adb or fastboot connect or are all the connections to the MAC dead?
Do you have a card reader that you can transfer a zip onto the SD card with? What custom recovery are you using.
EDIT: Do you have a nandroid?
I need help badly. I was trying to do a FULL system wipe from CWM including SDcard and then sideload my install from adb. But something went horribly wrong because as soon as I hit format sdcard the phone shut down and now has NO access to the SDCard so I can't install any roms or anything because as soon as the installer tried to access the SDcard the phone crashes and reboots. I don't know what to do. Am I screwed or is there some way of recovering the SDCard again in this phone?
Also this is a Rogers HTC One and afaik there is NO RUU for this phone yet. Need help urgently.

Dude that's not going to help me. Read what I wrote. The SDcard is screwed up and as soon as anything tries to read or write the sdcard the phone crashes....I have no problem sideloading a zip to the phone it's when it tried to install that the phone crashes EVERY TIME.
Also TWRP recovery does NOT work on this phone now because TWRP tries to access the sdcard when it loads. CWM will load up but cant install a rom because the SDcard is somehow bricked and I need to know if theres a way to fix it.
Ok and now I apologize because it turns out sideloading DID work after all BUT. I had to sideload a NON aroma installer ROM (cyanogenmod) to the phone. Cyanogenmod was able to finish the install somehow without crashing the phone mid-way through the install and once it was booted up the SDcard portion of the phone was no longer corrupted and crashing the phone. I am able to access it in CWM and TWRP again without crashing .
So if anyone else out there has this same problem where they clicked "format SDcard" in CWM or TWRP and all of a sudden your phone constantly crashes when it does ANYTHING to access the SD card. Try sideloading cyanogenmod onto the phone and THEN go back and wipe again to install the ROM you wanted (in my case ViperOne). I thought for SURE my phone was a goner. I couldn't do anything but then finally decided to try sideloading CM 10.1.3 just for shi*s and giggles and it WORKED my phone is saved
Hey,
Been trying to reset the tab to factory defaults the tab does his mojo untill it reboots into android 2.3.6 and then everything is still on the internal SD card.
Then i went to hook it up on the pc tried manually deleting everything on the internal SD pc say's its done i look in the tab and its all still there.
Tried copy'ing files over to the SD card but does not wanne stay on it.
Ok now then i went on booting odin up and rooted it + cwm recovery on it it does it like a charm and works can boot into the recovery.
Now since i cant hold any roms on the internal sd card i went on using an external sd card put on cm 10.2 and gapps,
Installed the rom then reboots into a newer version of cwm and it tells me its not rooted.
ok fine i restarted the tab and went back into recovery then it was rooted.
Went on to install the cm 10.2 and gapps now its hanging at the cm logo on boot
So i went on to flash dbdata.rfs.tar wich normally gets me passed a bootloop.
This time however it dident work.
Anybody has any ideas i can still try to get it to work ?
I think its more of a lock on the internal SD card since it can't hold any files nor delete's anything but im not sure hopefully some1 with some more experience then me can help me further on this problem
Thx
Not locked. The internal SD chip is failing.
You will see many post that has symptoms such as: previous owner info cannot be removed. New data cannot be saved. Wiping failed.
My mind was vaguely thinking that but still hoping it wasent

When i was stuck in that screen the only way i found to get out of it was to remove the back cover and disconnect the battery
I have the same problem
-I have rooted my htc mini2 and after a while decided to restore the original ROM but everytime i turn on the phone i have that red warning message.
One day i decided to delete de TWRP backup files bacause it takes a lot of space on my internal memory .
Yesterday my baterry died so when i was turning my phone it gets stuck on that message screen . So i can't get through because on my internal memory i don't have the TWRP files to backup or get into recovery mode.
Is there any solution? i was thinking about putting those files on my sd card and see if the phone will read them?

No, not possible from SDCard alone, you have to flash TWRP by placing TWRP in PC ADB folder (ADB must be installed in PC and device should be able to enter bootloader and fastboot) and entering bootloader>fastboot on device, then connect device to PC, this only works on unlocked devices.
Command is :
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot erase cache

Hey, i had the same issue. After rooting my phone, when my phone died because of the low battery, the same thing happened to me.
The solution is pretty simple, actually - you have to restart the charging unit of your phone.
So what you gotta do is this:
leave it to charge a couple of minutes (so it will have enough power to boot again) and then just press all the buttons of your phone at the same time and hold it for up to 10 seconds, so power button + volume up + volume down.
This will restart your charging unit and it will get your phone to boot normally again. :fingers-crossed:
I don't know why this keeps happening, but I have to do it all the time, if my phone dies. So I try to make sure it has enough battary not to die, because it is just annoying.
i have the same problem. if you hold the power button + volume up you can reboot your phone if it is frozen.

the trick is to keep hold of power vol up & vol down for 2 mins,it will boot, reboot, boot, reboot loads of times, keep hold for at least 2 mins, once you let go it resets itself:good:
make sure you have a some means of installing Android back onto your phone placed on your SD card or internal storage
I recommend updating to the latest version of twrp before trying these (I used 3.0.2.0)
twrp>wipe>advanced wipe>select everything but: "/Micro SDCard" "/Internal Storage" "SD-EXT" and "USB-OTG
after that install Android by restoring from a recovery backup or instal a custom rom onto your device (whatever floats your boat)
