Can someone tell me what Error 302 is when flashing? Trying to help someone, but the WIKI doesnt have a list of errors for the wizard...
Error 302: Update error.
It seems to happen to people flashing button_rom. Just today I've updated my howto at G3.6 with the following:
NOTE: Some people seem to have problem with flashing the button rom in this step (stops at 98% with error 302). Replace button_rom with Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102 and follow the rest of the steps normally when this happens!

Today i tried to install XDA Mobile 6 r2a rom, but on 99% i got an 302 error.
I first i installed IPL_SPL__G3-only_3.08, then radio_2.69.11, and then this rom. now I don't know what to do, because I cann't install this rom, i always got the 302 error, and I cann't install my old rom.
Please, tell me, what should i do to make my phone work. THANKS.
ps: i'm afraid that may be my phone was locked. but i don't know that exactly

Did you follow Dr. P's instructions on downgrading and unlocking here?? If not -- you're right -- it's not unlocked, and until you unlock it "by the book", you won't be able to do anything else except run your Carrier's ROM.
All those stickies are there for a reason, and yet 30% of the posts on here sound just like yours. All it takes is a little time to read before you flash!!!

Have you tried the solution in my post above?
I'd bought my htc p3600 pro (black, free from sim-lock & free from any carrier) from London.
As advised by TRINITYGUIDES.INFO site I tried to do HardSPL with all the three available HardSPL files, but of no avail.
When the HardSPL's progress bar comes(on pc) it gives a message on my phone " Enterbootloader.exe....This may harm your device...Do you want to continue.." I pressed yes & the process stopped & gave an error on pc "Error 246 Device not responding" & on phone screen showed the bootloader with

I did soft reset on my p3600 & its working as usual with it original spl infos.
I want to put official WM6 SEA version(ROM+RADIO) on my phone...Please help.

I have flashed my rom befroe to unlock the GPS but I now want to upgrade to WM6.
I guess the hard spl is a failsafe and I can skip this step?

I have the "[Error 246] Device not responding" problem.
I have used a lot the "search"-function and I have found a lot of posts which propose the same solution "restart the Rom upgrade another time". Ok I did it and my PDA works very well, but now I would like to solve the problem radicaly... How can I solve this problem? Should I use SPLexploit (I have found the guide on trinityguides.info) and then reflash a Hard-Spl?

Before flash manually enter bootloader. After start the rom update utility. (As www.trinityguides.info suggest). You will not get error 246 any more

Here is written to flash rom you should manually enter to bootoader. In this case, you will not have error 246.
Most of the people know this, so they have not this problem
Those who not manually enter bootloader can get error 246, and this way of flashing is not as safe as the manual bootloader way.
(because in this case you use the spl uploaded by RUU, not the hard-spl on the PDA)

When i connect my touch hd to pc in active sync mode, then shutdown device an run in bootloader (volume down and power button at same time) i get the tricolor screen and after a while i get the progress bar on my phone and on pc. But i stays on 0% and says 'update error' after a while.
please help

Hi Me has the trinity 3600 as a VPA GPS vodafone branding, and i get the same error message trying to run the bootloader and entering tricolor screen, ---> error 246 aber manually starting into bootlaoder and restatrting the romupdateutil.exe same error 260 no connention...
So you guys have a working version of the updating ?
And please remove all the links which are not working, linking a solve for the 246 problem, there are nomore links available...

I found a way to solve the problem 246 go in you mobile device, -->start -> settings-> connections ->USB to PC open this. Remove the hook @ Advanced networksettings activation! ---> click OK--> close
try again the bootloader etc, then on the tricolore reboot screen is shown USB in the lower white field and the bootloader can do its routine complete.
Have Fun with flashing the phones!

Hi All mates. my wizard is not displaying the GSm Radio. and due to this its not get connected with active sync. cause i want to reinstall my radio. and in bootloader mode no rom and upgrade utility is working. so what can i do.? is there any perfect solution so i can upgrade my rom to original shipped rom. i have ll versions of shipped roms.
also my wizard is not displaying the battery. its saying "Unknown battery" and not displaying any power percentage. and also no sound.

Try to look for more than one updater file as restoring the RADIO in bootloader mode should work

In short: After normal using my Diamond just reset himself and screen was snowing, some pixels etc.
When I'm going to bootloader screen is ok, without snowing or something and says:
DIAM100 64M
SOL-2.07.0000
MicroP-Diam (LED) v11
PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT v0x32

When I plugged usb cable SERIAL changing to USB - so far so good...
I'm using VISTA, I hear sound when I plugging Diamond, ROM Update Utility see device because starting to install Hard SPL but progress is stuck on 0%...
Windows Mobile Device Center cannot see device.
Windows doesn't see device as a removeble disk so I CAN'T COPY NOTHING to my device...
What to do?
I was trying many different HardSPL but nothing... always 0%

Wait...Have you previously unlocked and flashed to a custom rom?
If not, then you have the shipped rom on your device. In that case, hard reset to remedy your initial problems.
If you are trying to unlock and flash a custom rom then please read and learn as much as you can before you brick your device and really regret it.

Until you unlock, the only rom you can flash is the stock shipped rom like the rom that is already on your device.
If you can hard reset and your device functions normally, then there is no reason to re-flash the stock/shipped rom. Just hard reset.

I can do HR but my original ROM doesn't working. When i push vol up or vol down phone is formatting and restarting but the white screen appears and that's it...
I've tried HTC Europe version (fifth from top) and UK O2 version. Best thing is that they are going to 1% so it is not 0%
Error is Invalid Model ID or (second) invalid VENDOR.
I've tried to change ROM's device ID in NBH utility but it doesn't work and it's not even 1% after this operation.
Second thing is that under battery i have DIAM300 but in bootloader DIAM100...
I think that I just need correct ROM, but I've tried a lot of them and nothing.
Why when i'm changing Model ID for DIAM***** in NBH it doesn't works?
Next thing- when I'm doing HR with arrow then on screen appears couple texts and one says NO IMAGE FILE,
I think that means that ROM on my phone is broken..
It looks like, at some point, the wrong rom/spl was flashed to your device. I believe this is your shipped rom:

Make sure that nothing else is running in the background on your computer that might interfere with the flashing process or block communication between your computer and your device like a firewall, virus protection, port blocking or anything else.

Error. Invalid Device ID.
I'm doing everything like in this post.
I have error Invalid Model ID so I changing it by NBH utility.
Before I was changing it my update was 1% and error Invalid Model ID.
I've changed only Model ID, rest of stuff I didn't touch.
After I've changed Model ID it is not even 1% update- it's 0% and UPDATE error...
When I try to install other ROMs, from HTC for example then I have error invalid VENDER.
Help guys!
I guess the only other thing you could do is format with MTTY which would totally wipe the OS but I think you have to have a hard spl installed first in order to do that. I'm not that familiar with MTTY.
RATS!! I thought I found the rom you needed because if it says DIAM300 in the battery compartment then I thought that should be the one you need.
You said when you put it in bootloader it says DIAM100 and I'm betting that it should say DIAM300 like it says on the device.
Well maybe someone else has a suggestion.
I did MTTY format.
But nothing changed.
Still errors, Invalid Device ID or Vendor.
Next thing- when I install HTC USB drivers it isn't changing from 2007 to 2003 but to 2004. I have run my Vista without Signing drivers (F8) and when I'm installing these drivers from topic about MTTY I have only one driver available and it is Digitally signed- should it be unsigned ?

I have the same problem
but can't instal bootloader or flash any ROM
I tryed to flash the original rom but it stucks to 13%
I tryed to instal many bootloaders but when it cames to 100% it says that image is corruped (error 270)

OK. I've had that problem before when I first got my Trinity. Been through a lot of trial and errors before I was able to do it correctly. I don't know if this can help but this is how I did it. Usual warning.... I am not responsible if you brick your device.
Just look for the following files in the Trinity thread and install them in the following order:
1. HTC Trinity SIM & CID Unlock - v1
2. Install Olipro 1.20
3. Now I don't know if this should be done but I read somewhere that you should upgrade your Radio version so I installed "Trinity_Radio1.56.70.11"
Even though I have done these steps already I always do them again WHENEVER I install a new ROM. It does not hurt to repeat them.
If you are getting "error vender id" message then it means that your unit is locked again so you have to unlock it again like I said in my previous post. You must have installed an official ROM previously which will lock your phone again.
