Safe mode in galaxy ace s5830i - Galaxy Ace S5830i General

NOTE: WORKS FOR GALAXY ACE S5830i
This is how you do it: Press home key then simultaneously press power and volume up keys. When the Samsung galaxy logo appears, release the power and volume up keys but keep the home key pressed. Safe mode should come on shortly.

WTF, THAT IS THE RECOVERY MENU !!!!!!!!!!!

To enter into safe mode you need to press and hold the left soft key while booting your phone.

Safe mode for Android just basically boots your phone to a state where third party applications are disabled.

Need help with screen issue

Hi bros
I am using Galaxy. TAB P1000GSM, I don't remember exactly the using history, but one day after flash new firmwares my TAB got into the bootloop state until now.
I had tried to flash any kind of firmwares with any solutions which I found on XDA included the Overcom Experience.
With any Gingerbread and newer firmware, my Tab was flashed completely without errors but always got into the bootloop state.
Finally I flash a 2.2 stock firmware, and after flash completed without errors, the Tab boot normally to the setting screen, but the touch screen and all soft button did not work, except the power and volume buttons.
I there anyone got experience with this problem? Pls give me some advices to save me Tab? You will save my life:thumbup:
Sorry for my bad english!
Thanks in advanced!

when in recovery mode use the up/down volume to scroll and use the Home button on the screen to select. Clear the data then clear the cache. Then go to advanced and clear dalvik cache.
Thanks! But my Tab in recovery mode can be used with volume key, but both home key and power key do not work!

you sure you have P1000 and not P1000N or P1000L (check the back of your tab)
Ofcourse I sure that. It a P1000 GSM 16GB version!

Ok. Just asking.
Because touch screen driver is the only different of P1000L/N to P1000
also GSM and 16GB

No, I mean there are two sets of ROMs/kernel (drivers is in kernel)
one for the P1000 and one for P1000L/N
but if you are sure you are P1000 and already flashing P1000 kernel/ROM, then no, I cannot recommend a P1000L/N kernel to use.
Unless you also have doubt about your P1000.

I used Overcom method already, the Recovery worked well, but the Tab went into the bootloop state.
Assuming that my Tab now has wrong bootloader and it is locked. So is there anyone can tell me how to fix it?
Thanks all!

Restock again using GB stock safe. It contains bootloader, so if your theory is right, that should fix it.

Might be a good idea. Flash overcome kernel, then immediately flash cm9,

[Q] About the recovery mode

Hey guys! I come from china . this is my first post in this place and my English is very poor.
I have a phone called S3 mini, and I do not know how to enter the recovery mode by combination of buttons
I tried to download from official servers some packages , and use them with Odin ...but the phone is still at the main screen " Samsung Galaxy S III Mini GT-I8190
I'm going to collapse
Could anyone help me ?
Put your phone in USB Debugging mode and send this command via ADB:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
Or, install Terminal Emulator on your phone and write:
Code:
reboot recovery
Here's where I got the info from: [GUIDE] Root for Galaxy S III Mini I8190.
According to FAQ on Samsung official web key combination to access recovery mode should be home+power (without vol up). Not tested!
recovery key combination not working for the moment on a s3 mini.
Instead flash with the "param" in odin found in this thread and it should boot up

Strange. Somehow it is still not clear if this is a bug or a feature..

My Friend's Galaxy Ace volume button

Hi, I have a query.
My friend's volume buttons do not work. Is there any other way to root without recovery or a touch recovery?
Thanks.

Hi iDelta, if your friend's phone is an S5830 (without more letters or S5830D/B/L/T) the way to the recovery is of just two buttons [Home(center bottom) +Power(left side up)] at the same time . So, you won't need the volume button.
Edited: As the volume key is needed for navigate the menus, I recommend PX recovery
If not, you're in the wrong section. Good luck.

I went to see the threadx which says it needs to be flashed via recovery. Now, I find no point in flashing a recovery that requires the stock recovery to be flashed and your volume buttons don't work... anyway, I have already given my friend the red flag for rooting. Thanks for your help anyway.

@op : You are optionless now. You can't use volume buttons to flash a custom recovery via the stock one. There's a way to flash cwm via odin but again you won't be able to use it later on because it again needs the damn volume buttons. And on the other hand, no one has devised a way to flash px recovery via odin. You have two options left. Either be on stock or get your phone fixed.
