I haven't been using my stone for a while now, but upon running latest Quadrant I was kind of surprised by the low CPU score of only 348. I clearly remember getting more on this benchmark.
Can anyone post some screenshots of their stones (or droids) and the ROM they are using?
I am using CM 7.2.2

I'm also using CM7.2.2 with 2nd boot and 512MB swap partition
Code:
swap on swap off
Similar overall score - but totally different CPU and I/O ratings.
Strange...
Edit:
Result on the right side taken without swap partition.
Seems to really impact I/O
Yeah swap is great. You can even run more demanding games since this old PowerVR can still put some decent performance. I tried NOVA1, PES 2012, Dead Space and Temple Run. They all run great compared to my Xperia mini pro. The only difference is the occasional lag from swapping, but I think class 10 card will improve on this. Will try later.
I ran the Antutu benchmark and I got very low FPU score while the CPU score is normal. I thought maybe its some glitch with the latest CM7 so I flashed 4 older version, but no improvement. So far I tried 7.2.2, 7.2.1, 7.2.0 and 7-20012007. Its all the same. Its not only the score that worries me its also the choppines when scrolling through home screens, when entering drawer etc. Something is wrong. I will try stock rom later and I will try to change the OR maybe it has something to do with it.
That FPU score is probably normal. I get the same (159-162) on both CM7 and CM10. On CM10 2D rendering gets low scores - about 280 while on CM7 it is over 400. Database score seems low. On CeBits results CPU is low, I've been getting over 1300 (on quadrant) on both CM7 and CM10 (stock (kabaldan's stock) overclock values).
Done and done. I flashed vulnerable CFT with RSD Lite, formated the SD card, reinstalled OR3.3 and flashed the new CM7.2 with swap support. Its fine now. I don't know why it didn't fix itself with reflashing CM7 roms, but it didn't. Maybe it was the old OR that was causing problems I don't know.

Like everyone else, I'm closely following the development of ICS ROMs for my SGT 8.9. Truth be told, I've been running Galaxian Soup for the better part of two weeks now, really enjoying the clean look of the stock Android interface and lack of TouchWiz bloat.
But I'm also concerned about performance because, well, I'm a geek.

So I decided to benchmark the two ICS ROMs under development against the stock TouchWiz 3.2 ROM to see how they stack up. The contenders are the Galaxian Soup Beta 1.4 and unofficial CyanogenMod 9.
Method
Each ROM was tested 7 times with AnTuTu Benchmark so as to accumulate data. The first run was thrown out in each case as the first run with AnTuTu tends to be slower. Thus I collected and reported 6 runs for each ROM. Standard deviations were calculated and recorded to see how consistent the ROMs are in each area, and the mean scores chosen to represent each ROM. I did not overclock in Galaxian Soup or CM9, so the clock speed was 1ghz in each case to keep the playing field level. I almost forgot to mention that I ran the benchmark on a Honk Kong market GT-P7300 WiFi/3G.
Results (Scroll down to see totals)
Code:
TW 3.2 GS ICS B1.4 CM9 ICS
Mean +/- Mean +/-
RAM 817 826 1% 702 -14%
CPU Integer 1421 1432 1% 1405 -1%
CPU float-point 1091 1098 1% 1111 2%
2D graphics 293 295 1% 262 -10%
3D graphics 904 627 -31% 616 -32%
Database IO 354 325 -8% 334 -6%
SD card write 115 129 12% 131 14%
SD card read 191 191 0% 187 -2%
Total score 5186 4922 -5% 4749 -8%
The results speak for themselves. Both ROMs being in alpha or beta status have some work to do, especially in the area of 3D graphics. But we know the devs are working on a host of issues (not to mention that they have lives of their own!), so let's be patient. On the other hand, both ROMs bring a lot to the table in terms of SD card write performance! As the devs put newer releases out there, I'll update the results here to see how they are coming along.
In the meantime, thanks to the devs for working hard on these for the community. Both ROMs look great and deserve a look!
Although these stats throughout show a performance loss, let me assure you that in the daily use it feels a lot faster and smoother!

Great. My score is 9496

That application keeps freezing in my tab whenever it reaches 3D effect benchmark.
App keeps asking for permissions before testing device, yet all my permissions are selected.
BUMP! Keep getting this prompt but ALL permissions are enabled WTF really? See screenshot
Stock rom my note 4 scored 25417 in antutu. Thought wtf and tried testing again with the custom Skyfall rom, almost the exact same results.
Is my note 4 messed up? Should I do a device exchange?
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
Are you letting your phone cool down before benching? Putting it in the freezer? (Real questions) I personally won't return a phone because of low benchmark that means nothing in the real world other than to show off. P.S.my first bench was in the 30ks

No, my phone was sitting idle for a good amount of time though before testing.how could my scores be so drasticly less than yours?

Heres the thing . You shouldnt rely on that benchmark score at all especially on custom ROMs . I have had Roms that performed amazing in everyway and tested poorly on benchmark . There are a lot of factors that decide your score and in some ways scores can be cheated . Others on XDA can explain better than I can but you need to try other ROMS and also try when your phone isnt hot as He$$

Also did you run benchmarks when you are on Stock only ? To compare?
Mines is 46512. Stock Rom, Rooted.
Maybe it's a running app that causing the low score.
Do you notice any lag? Gaming lag?
Mine was low too until I turned off power saving mode

I just tested mine while downloading a file in the background and scored 43K. Maybe you have something going on in the background that's a CPU hog. I'm on Stock but rooted.

Ive just done a dirty flash of the 5.01 update -
Through fastboot I flashed system, boot loader and used the decrypted boot image.
Just run antutu & geekbench 3 and found the final score is pretty naff. Anyone else had similar or know why it might be?

Looked at better battery stats and noticed it was stuck at 1.7ghz. Does the nexus automatically limit the cpu when the battery is low?? I didn't enable battery saving mode

i guaranty that your issue is your own fault. first off, i bet you just left the cpu speed as is(stock) then ran a benchmark test. well, guess what? that is the wrong way to benchmark. what cpu speed did the benchmarks run at? ill tell you, you have no idea. thats because itll vary however it feels like in between the max and minimum cpu speed tested. so, you couldve been testing a run at 1.5ghz instead of the 2.6 you thought you were using.
to run a benchmark properly, you have to set the max cpu and the min cpu to the max speed you want to test. or youll end up testing a lower speed. and if you are running stock, thatll be very hard for you since stock uses mpdecision. mpdecision will change your cpu speeds, even if you set them.

yes, at 20% or lower it reduces cpu speeds and amount of cores used.
My stupidity then. For some reason I didn't think it limited unless manually set to saver mode.

yup. and at the moment, it automatically does this on custom roms as well.

I switched to 12.5 ROM like a year ago after Xiaomi didn't deliver it as an update from the stock 12.0 ROM as they promised. I first checked the Google Pixel OS and did not enjoy the extremely basic UI then decided to turn back to MIUI since I actually like how it looks. While I was at it I decided to load the latest version possible.
I rooted the thing to experiment but ended up not being able to find much to gain with it since it is a failed product that didn't sell well, there were not many software stuff for it. Anyway out of curiosity I recently installed 3DMark and it performed very bad compared to average score. It looked like it wasn't boosting to max clock speeds so I tried forcing it to max clock speeds for both GPU and CPU with root Android toolbox. This somehow made it worse and get 800 points which is only better than %1 Mi8 phones that finished this test. So I reverted the changes and got the same 1140 ish score I got before. Tried testing it again while it was plugged to the charger with no difference. Max temperature was 33C which makes me believe it is not boosting to right clock speeds.
To be honest phone still feels ok to use and battery life is enough for me since I recently replaced the battery. So I will not be installing another OS if it is the only reason for the low score since I don't really care benchmark scores as long as I have a smooth experience. But I would like to know why it is so bad and if there is a way to solve the issue without re-flashing the whole thing. I also don't want to re-flash it since last time I tried loading back the stock ROM from the whole backup I created and it somehow randomly failed in the middle of it and corrupted the partition that was responsible to making it connect to SIM and Wifi and it was a pain in the ass to figure out what happened and fix it from the old save file I had.
I am also very bored by using this thing but don't really want to buy a new phone while they stagnated this much over the past years in terms of technological advancement. I am planning to make a custom 3D printed back for it and install like a 10K mah battery to BMS board of my old battery and unlock all the clock limits on the software to fully unlock its potential. Does anyone know where can I get a CAD file for this phone so I can design the stuff I need for this.
