Droid on Boost

Can anyone tell me how to flash droid to boost mobile?
u cant two different freqeuncies
Boost is apart of Sprint
Sprint = CDMA
I am also trying to flash my droid to boost... I know they are both CDMA so this has to be possible...
Boost actually uses the "nex-tel" network, which uses sim cards. Nex-tel (boost) and sprint are not compatible, so it would make sense that you couldnt flash the droid to work on the boost network.
NO WAY
Not true! I sell Boost Mobile and any phone over $90 comes with their CDMA network! Which absolutely does NOT have a SIM card... 100% positive, sorry to question your knowledge, but the fact is you are wrong.
^ So have you ever seen a Droid on Sprint?
No OP you can't.
The Motorola I1 is on the Nextel network for Boost which is an Android device
Just to clarify boost is a cdma and iden network
Don't believe me read there website:

Just figured I would try and help

[Q] Droid 3 on AT&T??

So I was searching around XDA and found that they finally have found a way to unlock the AT&T and T-mobile bands on the Droid 2 Global. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1057064&page=3 I was wondering if we could benefit from this thread in trying to get the Droid 3's U.S. bands unlocked. The reason I ask this is because those of us on AT&T don't have a great selection of dual core android devices and this would be a great feat. I hope with the power of the XDA developers we can get this badboy's bands unlocked
I believe TBH is/will be working on this for the D3. Patience is a virtue...
I have been looking into this but I am not confident it will ever work.
The band lock has been moved into the radio image itself and without the ability to sign a radio image ourselves we won't be able to alter that. It is no longer accessible in the NVM as it was on the original firmware builds for D2G and Pro. This was done at the request of VZW to make it more difficult, if not impossible to do.
This is just a thought and I doubt it even make sense but could the radio be stripped from the Droid 3's gsm cousin the XT860 4G. They are virtually the same phone besides the fact one is CDMA while the other is GSM.

I'd suggest you buy a XT860 from Bell, in Canada. They use the same 3G bands as the AT&T network. It would also make it easier for you to unlock. Cost me 20$ to unlock mine, got the code within 15 minutes.

sorry.. but your question doesn't make sense. its sorta 2 questions in one.. lemme try to answer it for you...
Q1: Verizon Moto X to be used in ATT?
A1: Yes. Verizon is SIM unlocked. You can use it on ANY carrier that uses GSM/SIM cards. (LTE/HSPA/Data speeds will vary of course due to the modems or whatever you wanna call them built into the phone. No you can't just change a setting in the menu's as they're hardware specific)
Q2: Can the Moto X be rooted?
A2: YES!****** (If you purchase the DE/Developer Edition, you can get the bootloader unlock code from Google/Motorola directly for free. If you purchased the regular retail version, you can purchase the unlock code from the Chinese middleman; look around forums here as the link has there's a dedicated thread for it. There's a fee for that route that converts to roughly around $40 USD'ish. There's another of rooting, but its dependent upon which version of KitKat are you using and how much you want to deal with ADB/FB commands, scripts, and also SS for custom roms. If i lost you here, then stop thinking about rooting your phone altogether on the Retail/Non-DE version of the Moto X..you'll end up with a very nice paperweight.)
Good luck.
Thanks for the info!! Actually I am completely clueless when it comes to an Android (I currently own an Iphone). I would like to upgrade to Android but I want to buy new. I found the Moto X for $100. through Walmart. Now, I am currently using Net10 which is AT&T, and the Moto X is Verizon. That's the reason I was curious to see if I could somehow change it over to AT&T. Thanks again for your time
If you're seeing a Verizon moto x for $100, then it is likely an on-contract price. Meaning you will need to sign up for Verizon service for two years. I don't think this is what you want.
Unless you are thinking of moto g, which does sell for $100 off contract. In which case you should ask on the moto g forums.

Ok, lets go over this again... Yes, Verizon uses CDMA/EVDO for its Voice, SMS and 3G data. For LTE they use Band 4 and 13.
However, Verizon's phones include Quadband GSM radio for global roaming. The X also includes HSPA/HSPA+ support as well. As a condition of Verizon winning the 700Mhz spectrum auction for their LTE a while back, their LTE phones are SIM Unlocked. This is what allows you to put a Non-Verizon GSM SIM into the X or other VZW phones, set the APN settings correctly, and get working non-verizon service.
There are conditions, like you have to get the APN settings for the "target GSM carrier" EXACTLY right, and data speed is dependent on the "target GSM carrier's" network in your area.
And yes, I've done it with many of my Verizon phones (X, Galaxy S4, Lumia 928, BB Z10 and Q10, iPhone 5 and 5S, etc), using my work issued T-Mobile and ATT sims.
There are several threads about using a Verizon Moto X on T-Mobile and ATT that cover it more in detail.

Agreed. Popped in my wife's ATT simcard from her Iphone5s into my MotoX to prove a point to her.... surprising thing was... i picked up ATT LTE w/o having to configure anything on my VZW Moto X. just got lucky? who knows.. go figure.

[Q] Verizon LG G2 VS980 on AT&T. What ROM?

I have a Verizon LG G2 VS980 on the way to replace my Nexus 5 which has become unusable due to random crashes (suspect a HW problem of some sort).
I am on AT&T and purchased the Verizon model since Qi wireless charging is more important to me than LTE (not available for the Verizon LG G2 on ATT, correct?). LTE is spotty where I use my devices anyway.
In any case, I 'm wondering whether I should root the device. I really liked the vanilla Android on my Nexus 5 and also Cyanogenmod on my other Nexus devices.
Features that are important to me in no particular order:
Wireless Charging
GPS/navigation
Solid Bluetooth
Google Wallet NFC payments
Would like to retain the knock on feature
Would like to install and use AT&T Visual Voicemail
Camera that starts up fast and easy/quick to change options/modes on (I thought the Nexus 5 camera app was slow and clunky)
Simple/easy/automatic APN setup for AT&T
I've done a search but everyone seems to use the Verizon LG G2 on T-Mobile but not many on AT&T. Appreciate any help. I may provide this phone as a hand me down to my parents who are on P-Tel (T-Mobile) so I would like to hear about opinion/experience there as well. Thanks!

[Q] I'm trying to switch over to Straight Talk (NEED HELP)

I know this is the thread for the turbo but I have a Driod Maxx (kind of looks like the Turbo). I tried to switch this phone over to Straight Talk. I went to their website to insert my IMEI and it says its not compatible. Weird thing is I can stick my sim card that I use for my Verizon Moto X (on ST) into the Verizon Driod Maxx (that isnt compatible with ST) and it works. I can make phone calls and receive them. What's the problem? Do I have to flash the phone or something to get it working with straight talk? I bought a new sim card and everything so my phone would work with ST but the IMEI isn't compatible.

Is the phone locked to Verizon? They used to do that, so you couldn't use LTE or HSPA on another carrier in the U.S. Droid Maxx is a 2013 phone. Also there are similarly named phones. Make sure you are talking about the right one...
Motorola Droid razr maxx (cannot be used on USA networks)
Motorola Droid razr maxx hd
Motorola Droid Maxx (sim unlocked for USA and international)
The Droid Maxx is Motorola XT-1080M. Is that the one you have?
full specs:
http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Motorola-DROID-MAXX_id7970/fullspecs
If indeed you have the "Droid Maxx", specs say it only has LTE bands 4 and 13. You say "Straight Talk", like that means something. Straight Talk uses AT&T, T-mobile, Sprint, and Verizon.
Which UNDERLYING CARRIER are you trying to use on Straight Talk? Straight Talk (AT&T), Straight Talk (T-mobile), Straight Talk (Sprint), Straight Talk (Verizon)? I would assume probably AT&T or T-mobile, as Verizon will not let you use a Verizon phone on the Verizon flavor of Straight Talk.
For instance, AT&T uses LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 17 but not ALL those bands everywhere. In Atlanta, only LTE bands 2 and 17. If I had a Droid Maxx (LTE bands 4, 13), it would not be compatible for LTE bands on AT&T in my area. I would want a phone that had LTE capability if I was using Straight Talk (AT&T). However, if the phone is unlocked, you could use the HSPA bands, and you could use LTE band 4 IF AT&T uses it in your area.
But you would need to confirm you do indeed have the Motorola XT-1080M.
If you do, and it's unlocked, you may have to go in and change the APN to work on Straight Talk (AT&T or T-mobile). May not be configured right.
You also say you have a Verizon Moto X that works with "Straight Talk" -- but you don't say which actual carrier... You also don't say if it's gen 1 (2013) or gen2 (2014).
Basically you are not providing enough information, and this is the Quark forum (Droid Turbo, Moto Maxx, Moto Turbo). Probably best you should find the forum for your phone and other owners have probably encountered the issue before?
Try posting here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-ultra
I know that link is for the Droid Ultra forum, but I see lots of Droid Maxx postings. Seems to be both Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra.
Good luck!
The Turbo comes carrier unlocked straight from the factory. I use my Droid Turbo on Straight Talk with their blue sim, get AT&T service on it. LTE is spotty but I get HSPA+ almost everywhere. I checked the IMEI on Straight Talk's BYOP site for the CDMA service, and it said it was compatible. The only reason I haven't tried it is because I don't have WiFi at home, so I need simultaneous voice & data, which I wouldn't get with Straight Talk CDMA, but do get with Straight Talk GSM.
