Kalagas_Mixed_Theme Description:
1) I have changed every single icon in about 100 system apps + com.htc.resources.apk + framework-res.apk.
2) All .apks are zipalligned.
3) Hybrid battery with 1% battery steps (charging animated icons modded by me are included by default in all my MODs - have a look in small animated .gifs above.
4) Animated icons in status bar 3G, H, G, 1x, E, Signal strength, Sync, Download, Upload, GPS (all these animated icons modded from beggining by me) are included by default in all my MODs - have a look in small animated .gifs above.
5) Black HTCDialer (it's the he_stheone64's MOD with .png icons by me) is included by default in all my MODs..
6) Andanced Power Menu is included by default in all my MODs.
7) Black Menu and Black Popup Windows (big thank to he_stheone64's for all his hard work with many .xml files)..
Instalation:
For installing Kalagas_Mixed_Theme you will need ClockworkMOD Recovery or 4EXT Recovery. Put the Kalagas_Mixed_Theme_xxxxxx_vx.x.zip in the root folder of your sdcard and after reboot into Recovery and apply the .zip you downloaded...
Now your Desire HD will open with your NEW Kalagas_Mixed_Theme...
P.S. Please be patient, it may take some minutes (it depends on how many apps you have installed) to reboot....

Νο mate... All apks are zipalligned... I have no battery drain problems... Restart in recovery and make a wipe cache and a wipe dalvik-cache again and give it one day time as many many apps have changed...

I don't think so mate, cause as you understand all themers make themes as they like... and it's impossible to satisfy anyone...
I wish i could, but imagine if every themer starts to change one icon per every user... First post will be full of several versions... You understand it's not possible to satisfy every demand, don't you?

Its HTC Sence.com...I removed it and find the CPU usage comes drown to normal...earlier it was alwayes 100%!!!!!!!

With the introduced venom theming its really easy to create themes yourself!
At the bottom of the post attached is the venom kitchen, other required files and an easy to follow tutorial.
Feel free to create some themes and provide it for our users in this Thread.
If the theme looks nice we will add it with credits to the venom hub, so all users can download it from there!

As if the ROM wasn't customisable enough, the venom devs have also developed the Venom theme kitchen.
Really want some statusbar icons that aren't in the Hub. Or got a great idea for a set of Sense icons? Why not make it yourself and share it with others via the Venom Hub?!
We've put some themes in the Hub to get you started, but the aim is to fill it with user generated content. We've tried to make the tutorial as easy as possible, but if you have any questions, here's the place to ask.
Post your completed themes here, with a screenshot. If the theme looks nice we will add it with credits to the venom hub, so all users can download it from there!
One thing we ask though - ideally you'd be using icons you've created yourself. If you are going to use someone's else icons, please ask them for their permission first. We all spend a lot of our free time making these, and it's really annoying to see your work ripped off by someone else! I'm sure you'd all agree. If you used icons from the UOT kitchen, then say so.

Q: I tried out some cool looking status bar themes from Venom Hub, but they dont theme my data or signal icons?!
A: Since Venom Roms are primarily on gsm devices, most existing themes are meant for qHD and HD res GSM devices. Our cdma rom calls on different icons, and the respective devs set "all devices" for those particular themes when they really dont apply to us. I'll do my best to port them and reup them.
Q: Can I take someone elses theme for another device/rom and port it for venom?
A: We cannot add your theme to venom hub if its using someone else's work, unless they give you specific permission.
Q: Can I use that "themer" signature badge?
A: If you make either a hub skin/theme/rosie theme or old-school update.zip theme, sure. [/FONT]
Q: Several HTC Widgets are missing - can't add them to my homescreen.
A: Settings->apps->all apps: choose HTC Sense and clear data.
Q: How do I install the Rom?!
A: Installation instructions are in the 5th post at the bottom.
Q: What`s the md5 sum thing?
A: It ensures, that the Rom is downloaded correct and completely to avoid weird issues when installing/using the Rom. Google for "md5 sum checker" and you should find what you need.
Q: My phone stucks on HTC splash screen
A: "fastboot erase cache" in fastboot and flash the boot.img or use the boot.img flasher provided here.
Q: Whats the boot.img. Why we need to flash it?
A: The boot.img is the kernel and has to be flashed if you want your Rom running well. HTC Dev Unlock doesn`t allow to install the kernel directly when installing the Rom in recovery, that`s why you need to install it manually.
Q: I found a theme or mod, will it work on this rom?
A: It's NOT recommended to use mods/themes that don`t clearly state, that they are compatible with our Rom. Themes/Mods always use framework files which will break mods/stuff in our Rom.
Q: My question is not listed here, what to do?
A: Ensure you used the xda search, google and your brain before asking a question in the thread. If you can`t find an answer yourself we will answer your question for sure! (-:

A: Make sure Auto Brightness is NOT activated
Q: Why do I have an empty space in EQS?
A: Just hide NFC in tweaks hide n reorder, our device does not support NFC
Q: Why does show unlock animation not work?
A: It DOES work as long as you`ve been on homescreen before you locked and have the clock widget there.
Q: Why is infinite scrolling sometimes laggy and I even see an empty screen?
A: The implementation is still buggy, but we left it on user request.
Q: What`s the Ultra/smooth Rosie?
A: Your HTC Widgets got some kind of 3D effect which may make your Rosie laggy. You can see that 3D effect clearly on the HTC 4x4 Weather widget.
Smooth: Flattens all widgets besides the one you start scrolling
Ultra: Flattens all widgets for best performance
Q: Why does my swype2unlock doesn`t work?
A: Seems you mix up sweep2wake from shows bricked kernel with swype2unlock
sweep2wake is kernel related and makes it possible to turn screen off and on by swiping your finger from back to menu key.
swype2unlock isn`t a kernel feature. It makes it possible to unlock your Lockscreen intead of moving the ring by sliding your finger from back to menu button and NOT to wake your device and put it into sleep.
Q: The cube effect isn't working on the app drawer
A: The cube effect just appears when you swype from the all tabs over to the frequent to the download tab.
Q: Volume wake isn`t working after some time when the device is in deep sleep.
A: This is a kernel issue, no way I can fix it in the Rom.
Q: How do I know whether a tweak needs a reboot to work?
A: Usually the white reboot button top right corner will turn white. Just press it and your device or Status bar will reboot and apply the tweak.
Q: I have problems ending a call, problems with lags when making a call, or low volume issues.
A: Some users reported that it`s related to the fine/finest volume tweak. Set it to normal to fix your issue.
Q: I have Dialer or other FC after a mod/Theme/Rom flash?
A: Always fully boot your device first, then boot again in recovery. One S creates some cache issues after flashes, which most of the time are solved when wiping cache in recovery.
Q: I need someone repackaging a kernel
A: Kernels don`t need to be repacked for our Rom. We don`t have ramdisk tweaks. So you are able to flash the kernel straight from the kernel devs thread.
Q: What are the correct sizes for the app drawer and notfication pulldown background?
A: Try 540x960.
Q: What are the correct sizes for custom carrier logo?
A: Try 100x100
Q: Why are there not enough custom options in Status Bar and Sense Theming section?
A: Click on GET MORE first and install your favorite theme packs first .
Q: What`s the Venom Hub?
A: The Hub is the place, where you can download and install new themes, icon or font packs.
Q: I want to apply new custom Status Bar logo?
A: Again - the Hub is the place or make your own and choose it from your SD.
Q: Why do I need the additional addon package?
A: You don`t need iit, but it saves you the hassle to download the full ROM, if you only want to remove bloatware or add useful stuff like new boootanimations, fonts or AOSP apps.
Q: I installed Venom Red Theme on 1rst ROM installation, but I don`t see anything red?
A: You need to activate Skin under personalize, Status Bar and Sense Themes in Tweaks app first.
Q: Will there be CRT On/OFF support in the next release?
A: NOT possible, because HTC changes some required code in their libs, that makes it impossible.

If you have long time connection when using GPS software / give a try to Faster Fix from the market / works for me
If by any chance you deleted some files and you have lost smart dial feature you must revert back CIMETPCHS.apk in system/app | restart
whoever has problem with wi-fi / disabling when device goes to sleep / use the tweaks / people worked hard on them for you!

Start with a Hash Check of the ROM-zip you just downloaded you will find the matching MD5/SHA1 checksums with the downloads

Flash via ROM-Customizer
coming from any rooted ROM:
1. Put the ROM on your internal storage
2. Open ROM Customizer and choose flash file from SD
3. Ficeto improved the flash config so it works with rom Customizer now. So just choose the ROM from your internal storage and it will present you with the rom config in a pop up window.
4. From this window SELECT WIPE! You MUST! wipe or things will not work.
5. If you currently have MG4 Modem already then untick FLASH MODEM in ROM Customizer to save any hassle or reflashing or restoring efs

yes its older firmware because this has not just taken a week or 2 to put together my friend it has taken a couple of months to finish to this standard. plus this doesnt have the modem which reformats efs so people who havent flashed it dont get caught out

you can flash with no issues if you follow the guide. all you have to do is, if you are coming from MG4 then when you install WITH ROM CUSTOMIZER untick "FLASH MODEM" this will leave your current modem leaving your imei etc untouched, even if you do lose imei (well it gets changed to 0079 etc) then flashing your previous modem does resolve, i will be adding the modem to ota just incase

This rom has an OTA updater, there u can find EMG4 modem. ( its not there yet but daz said that he will put it there)

Flash it through recovery
Reboot to recovery again
Go to "Backup and Restore>Misc Nandroid Settings>Preload Partition" and set it to Include
Backup your current Rom, if you are on previous version of AryaMod you can also make a backup of your SMS log in messaging app.
Go to "Wipe Data>Factory and Reset> hit Wipe Data-Cache-System-Preload"
Choose - Yes, I will install a new ROM!
Return to main page> Advance option and wipe davlik
Return to main page> Mount and storage, format system, format data, format preload (just to make sure you would get a clean install)

Reboot and enjoy.
After boot up go to Developer options and change animation window, transition and animator duration scales to 0.5x

Note:
If you are coming from previous version you need to make a full wipe and format as the base is different in version 4.
If using Titanium Backup make sure not restoring any data.
After you made your choices in ROM/CSC features, you may need to restart your device or go to Recent apps>Task manager and Clear memory in order to load feature changes.
"MultiWindow" may not works at first boot because of long press to kill app mod, how to fix it you need to go to settings>ROM features and select what button you wish to kill app, reboot.
DO NOT, perform factory rest or whatever that can wipe data after flashing as I place some apps in Data folder for better RAM management.

Only one small thing I can find is I can't seem to get the multi window side bar to go when long press back button. Have you modded it so another button works or is it a bug? I full wiped including preload and dalvik so its a clean install.

Yeah I mean it's there and works fine but when I want to remove the side bar by long press back button it doesn't go, if you know what I mean

I totally got what you said, try changinging long press behavior on settings\display to "Menu" and reboot and try, again change it to "Back" and try again. I would upload a video how I flashed the ROM and see multiwindow is working with holding back button.

gonna give this a try. played around with galactus 4.2 just now. very impressive rom that, especially with the galactus mod control segment. however i like crt-off very very much and i like your themes.

Reasonable request, like adding some general mods would be fine. I would add some addons later though.

Download latest PhilZ N7000 TW kernel, doesn't matter which base
Flash it through recovery
Reboot to recovery again
Go to "Backup and Restore / Misc Nandroid Settings / Preload Partition" and set it to Include
Backup your current Rom
Then go to "Wipe Data/Factory and Reset / Wipe Data-Cache-System-Preload"
Then choose -Yes, I will install a new ROM!
Return to main page, go to advance option and wipe davlik
Return to main page under Mount and storage, format system, format data, format preload (i know it's just might be repetitive but it's better to prepare for clean install)
Flash ROM zip
After the ROM boots up please use any app that let you adjust CPU like CPU adjuster and set your CPU as noop-pegasusq (recommended for balance by crime_of_heart on his thread

This ROM is based off @bri315317's Dynamic Kat 4.0. He has given me permission to keep this ROM going and take it in my own direction. Thank you very much for allowing me to do this and save a little bit of time starting from scratch so late in the life of kit kat for this device. Note that a lot of the features of this ROM are from him. Buy that man a beer if you haven't because he put a lot of work into this.
From my first great experience on the s3 on @Danvdh's Dandroid I enjoyed ROMs like this and tweaked it a little myself. He moved on to the S4 and I've been following his great work there as well even though I don't have the device. He's taught me a lot as well as @Enewman17 who let me create TMS3KK based off his and loserskater's S3Rx. I aim to make my releases the exact same way as @bri315317 said in his OP here.

Although I did test this rom there is always a chance things can go wrong. I am not responsible for what you do to your phone. You should know what you're getting yourself into.
If you don't, please do not flash this and READ, READ, READ these forums until you feel confident enough to do so.
Please report any bugs. If at all possible please try and recreate the issues while running a logcat. The issue can be solved much faster then just telling me "this don't work".

During testing Darian71 found out that insecure lockscreen skips unlock effect unless you put the phone to sleep. To Change this you have to set a secure lockscreen and adjust the time from 10 minutes. Sorry but it works for this, Set it to whatever time you want or instantly with the power key or screen timeout for how stock comes. I caused this by accident but I can't get this setting to work on insecure lockscreen settings as well as secure

Reboot to SafeStrap
Make a backup of current ROM
Factory Reset from wipe menu is REQUIRED. I recommend going under advanced and wiping Dalvik, cache, data and system.
Install Rom.zip.
Install theme.zip if your using one.
Reboot device ( allow up to 5 minutes for device to boot to Setup wizard).
Wait 5 minutes to allow device to settle.
Please do not make any mirrors

Upon initial boot you have to toggle on and off the stock battery in DK ROM Control to remove it. I'll figure out how to fix this eventually.

To further appreciate the themes you may want to change your setting for toggle colors in DK ROM Control. Set them to #00000000 to make them transparent for the on, off and dim settings. This will let them show as they are intended to be. It will come in handy in future themes.
Q. Why is my status bar clock not appearing?
A. You need to choose the color and change the alignment for it in DK ROM Control > Misc Status Bar Mods > Potato Clock
Q. Upon initial boot I have 2 battery icons, how to fix?
A. You can either remove the stock battery icon and use 3minnit battery mod by going to DK ROM Control > Misc Status Bar Mods and checking and unchecking the checkbox for "Stock Battery Icon". To disable 3minnit instead open 3minnit battery settings and click the settings tab then uncheck "Show Battery". Also if you use 3minnit and wonder why the icons are so tiny use the "Size adjustment" setting here.
Q. Will you be updating the base to 4.4.4?
A. No! We are awaiting lollipop. Enjoy the last bite of kit kat and don't worry about AT&T's late OTA update.
Q. Floating Message popup isn't working with messages.
A. If it's not working go in application manager or titaniun backup and clear cache and data for it. You will be looking for airmessage or floating message. I can't remember which it is but I had it stop working for messaging a few times when working on the rom and this fixed it.
Q. Team Blackout apps aren't installing and giving me an error "Application not installed"
A. Uninstall the current version of the app and install the TBO one.
Q. Some sites won't work for me after using adaway. It happens when I click links from this thread for downloads.
A. Adaway's hosts file is blocking some redirect sites like the one from XDA. To fix this simply open adaway and open the menu then goto lists. In your whitelist add viglink.com. I suggest adding ad.fly also. You can remember this for any other undesirable sites it blocks.

If anyones wondering everything from XDK 1.1 works with this, I just prefer how I have this one setup. All of the things I don't use are removed. You can follow my debloat list and make it to your liking with titanium backup.

Now I can finally watch last nights Walking Dead then catch up on some sleep. Thank you @iamthedj and everyone else. This is just the start. When I get a little bit of relaxation without stressing to get this out I will work on a debloated build thats to my liking and finishing this holo blue theme.
May have found a major bug. Tried to bu, but it didn't work. I don't think ss recovery read the ext sdcard.

check the mount option in ss and make sure microsd is mounted. I haven't looked at the log but this could be whats wrong

Weird. Micro SD is mounted. Unmount and remount, no change. Reset settings to default and all is good. Thanks again.

thats good if it happens again just try a diff card might fix it. something similar happened to me :good:
