i have just flashed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1864510
now i got system UI stopped and no status bar at all, any help will be great
as I said it's better to do it manually than flashing. This way u can always make a backup and restore if messed up. use root explorer to navigate to system/app - systemui.apk and check if the permissions are set to rw-r--r--
check if there is a systemui.odex file. If yes delete it and reboot

Hello everyone!!
So i got myself a WiFi Xoom and rooted it. By mistake uninstalled the stock browser with titanium backup and now its gone from the system. Can any of you please provide me with a flashable file so i can flash it via recovery and restore app?
I tried getting the apk from one of the system dumps on the developer section but when i try to install it i get the message "App not Installed".
did you move the apk to system/app and give it correct permissions rw/r/r?

I tried to copy the apk to the system/app folder using ES file exlorer but it does not let me, and i dont know how to set the correct permissions.
Use RootExplorer, it does all mentioned stuff
Put the apk into this file. Put it in the system/app folder and flash in recovery.

I've Lost My Browser
EDITED:::Nvmd, replaced browser.apk with the ones from system dump, as mentioned in OP, and that resolved my issue of not being able to use the stock browser.
How to change the system file's attribution?
Such as from Read only to Normal so that we can replace them..
I have Root Exlporer but it does not do it.. Any other Tool ?

Are you rooted?!

Root Explorer should work.
You need to be rooted and have the system mounted as R/W
have the same problem. Phone is rooted, rootexplore asked for super ursser permission, is set to R/W and still i can't change gps.conf in etc folder! i mean i'm copy/paste the change one but it remains the same! WTF?
Have you tried setting the permissions? Long press and hit permissions. Select the ones you want and try again.
Check if the SU permission is correctly attributed to root explorer, or give it again

Anyway to restore the stock camera App ?
I have moved the Camera APP from "/system/app" to sdcard and then to my pc.I changed the icon to ICS Camera icon and now when i try to install it says to replace it,i click yes and after the process finish says "app not installed".
I have the APK and the .odex file of the f***** camera, just need a way to install it.
if you picked it up from /system/app then you need to restore it in /system/app itself
backup your current working camera apk and odex [as you have]..
move modified files to /system/app and change permissions to rw-r--r-- as others then only it will work.. if it doesn't reocognise in first attempt after permissions then reboot and see if it works...
if it doesn't simply means modifications don't work --> restore

Put the Camera.apk to /system using any root file manager and then set the permission to rw-r-r. Reboot. Here is the link,
Stock Camera App
If that doesn't work, just backup the data and then reflash the stock rom using odin. Hope I Helped
is it possible to restore stock apps in galaxy ote n7000 without resettind it...??
Yes you need root and a tool like root explorer. Just take apks out of rom and place in system apps.
Check that they have same permissions as other apps, rw and such and click them to install. Not sure if they install themselves with a reboot.

Open Root Explorer.
Scroll Down to System/app
You will see all applications there. Just Copy and paste to your external SD Card. When you want to restore just paste them to System/app using root explorer and set permissions as rw-r-r and reboot

How you set the permissions? Post a ss if you can.

Ok, download rom you want to restore from, usually a zip file, unzip it. Then with root explorer navigate to tar. Md5 file and open it, you might need to rename to tar file only, then within that search for a fokder that contains the apk you want, extract them, or copy them outside tar file then to your system app location etc etc

Just keep file pressed when selecting, then menu opsbup and scroll in menu to option permissions. Then select those according to permissions set inother files.
All this in root explorer. Not sure if a fix permissions from cwm recovery fixes this. Never tested it.

You might need to mount system/apps as read write r/w. That is a button on top left of screen when you are in that folder, just set it back when done

I'll teach you how to fish instead of giving it to you.
There is a website called google.com type your query there, together with e.g android, or xda or both, and youre sure to find your answers to almost any question.
Might need to query with different phrases or order of words, sometimes in steps.
Thats how I figured out last time. Sorry I wasnt able to answer stepwise step for step. maybe you make a tutorial with print screens, for future users that have same question
Damn I suck at explaining

anyways thanks for the help...
Hey guys! So I successfully managed to root my Galaxy S Advance running stock 4.1.2 Jellybean (Italian firmware I9070XXLQL) and installed SuperSU and TitaniumBackup. I was uninstalling unnecessary bloatware using a couple of lists made by other forum members. One of the apps I deleted was called MTP Application 1.0 (I think?) because it is only required for connecting to a computer via Kies and I don't use that anymore (Android File Transfer all the way!) But now my phone does not get recognised by AFT at all. Unfortunately I'm a klutz and forgot to make a backup of the application before deleting so now it cannot be recovered. Can someone possibly provide me with the APK? It is a system application and I have granted root access to ES File Explorer. Just need the application itself. Thanks!
Edit: I've already searched online and can't find the APK anywhere on the Internet.
Here you go. I attached the file. I use xxlql deodexed and pulled this from the preload partition. I think you must put this apk in the app folder on preload partition and give it permissions. Good Luck.

Hey thanks! I downloaded the APK, moved it to the appropriate folder and changed the permissions. Now my phone is getting recognised by AFT. Thanks once again for the speedy response!

Hi. Can you give instructions on how to install the APK? Like which folder to put it in and how to give permission?
Thanks so much!

You must be rooted. Once you are done rooting your device you must install root explorer or es file explorer. Then grant root permissions to that app. Now move the apk file to preload/app folder in root of the device. Then choose properties of the apk file and set permissions. You can youtube the procedure. Good luck.
