Hi everyone, This is my first ever post on a forum like this so please be gentle with me.
I love my new LG 4X HD and at night I set the "quiet time" to run from 11:30pm until 7:30am. My problem is that it mutes the phone correctly from 11:30pm, but in the morning it remains stuck on mute long after the 7:30am threshold. Every morning I have to de-activate the "quiet time" manually. Anyone else had this experience? Am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I have noticed this happen sometimes, but not every morning. I haven't tried to track it down, but suspect it may be caused by using an alarm before the quiet time is set to finish and stopping the alarm with the volume buttons. May be worth checking it out - I'm not normally awake enough when my alarm goes off to think about trying to troubleshoot a small problem with my phone.
Anyone noticed that when quiet time is active the phone vibrates even when there is no notification?

No, because I always disable vibration in my settings.
Under Quiet Time there is a separate setting for vibration during quiet time - check that is not ticked.

Thanks Simon. I don't think it's caused by the alarm going off before the quiet time finishes because, at least at weekends, my alarm is set for after quiet time ends. Also I use the "phone flip" to snooze the alarm (I love that feature!).
Thanks anyway for your reply. If you think of anything else or have an eureka moment on this, please let me know.

Hi, this morning the WM alarm clock of my tytn ii failed to raise at the correct time, but finally the alarm did go off about 58 minutes later (the device was left untouched in sleep mode until that). The notification still showed the correct alarm time in the message, and the acutal time (wrong) time in header and top bar.
Never heard of this problem before, any suggestions??? Please help me to identify the problem with this "ready for business"-device (lol).
I think i remember reading something similar to this on another thread. where the problem was something to do with time sync (by activesync or network). Perhaps somebody who has had this problem can help?
Try disabling the HTC Home plugin and the Task Manager. That seems to help fix it.
I do not know if this is connected or not, but -
I have a (perhaps) similar problem with the alarm.
My alarm is set to 07:30 every morning.
A while ago, I travelled to france and adjusted the time zone by one hour. I have since returned home, but since, the alarm rings at 06:30 every morning.
The setting is still 07:30.
There is no alarm set for 06:30.
The system **** shows the correct time and the time zone is also correct.
Is it possible that 'old' and incorrect entries are stored in the registry, and trigger the alarm wrongly?

Try to use some another program like SPB Time or another.

exact same problem here (i did visit germany not france though )
does anyone have a solution without disabling things like the home plugin?
(it's not the auto change timezone/clock from sim setting as i have that before this prob occured and its still off...)
Try cleanining the notification Que using sktools or some similar program, this alarm problem is a well known bug in WM devices and has been for a long time
You may want to check your time zone is correct. Also check that the time IS NOT being updated from the network, if your cell provider has an incorrect time zone this could cause the problem.
I have been having the same problem. I can set an alarm for 8:00AM, but it will ALWAYS go off at 7:00AM. If I set it for 8:01AM, it will go off at the right time. I have no idea why it's happening and can't seem to find a solution...
Alarm Problem
I have the same problem. My alarm goes off at 5:20 a.m. every morning. I updated the TILT rom with the new updated AT&T rom. I set the alarm once for 5:20 am. After that it has gone off at that time every morning regardless of what I do to the alarm clock settings . Anyone know how to fix this problem????

I agrree - clean Notification Que....., BUT cleaning every week, monts ... so boring.....
stop using buged WM clock to alarm - well, how I said, use some another clock program like SPB Time or similar.
I've always had alarm clock issues with every wm device I've ever used. Either going off at the wrong time or not at all. I downloaded 3rd party gentimer and just transfer it to each new device as I get them. I know I shouldn't have to do this and MS should have a better more reliable alarm system, but for a one time charge of 12 bucks I have peace of mind and no. more dickin' with the damn oem alarm. It's worth it IMHO.

SKTools did not work. My alarm still goes off at 5:20am. Anyone have any ideas on how to make this turn off?

What has worked for me in the past is to delete all existing timers, do a soft reset, then re-create them. In your case, I'd be tempted to change the timer, then delete it, then reset and re-enable.

What do you mean delete the existing timers? Where do I delete them?
I use my old Nokia N70 just because it's so pathetic that HTC or MS (don't know whose fault it is) can't fix a proper alarm.

Perhaps I confused you by calling the alarms 'timers'. Here's how to delete them:
Start, Settings, Clock & Alarms, Alarms tab.
To delete a previously set alarm, uncheck the checkbox, and de-select days of the week. Click Ok. Do a soft reset.
In my experiance, this will remove duplicate alarms as well.
I've tried that with the exception of removing all of the checked days of the week. I will try that and see what happens. Thanks.
My girlfriend has a problem with her Xperia X1. She had an alarm set at 6:00 AM for every weekday, but now she has a holiday she disabled the alarm. But this morning, the alarm just went off! And it seems Windows isn't 'aware' of this, because it doesn't show anything indicating the alarm. There isn't even an option to turn the alarm off.
Since this isn't the first time she has this problem with the alarm, I decided to post this question here. Has anyone else experienced this kind of behaviour? What could be wrong?
Cleaning Notification Queue
There is probably a notification stuck, somewhere.
Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333521
It enables you to clean up the Notification Queue.
Guys got a strange problem, wonder if anyone could help. Every morning at exactly 5.00 am for the last week my xperia sounds a bleep for 30 second. I have no alarms set and the beep sound it not and of my default sounds. There is no notification or anything on the screen to accompany the alarm. I am running Clock plus in Daydream at night with the phone in a charging dock, stock ROM.
Did a factory reset and restore yesterday - and at 5.00 am this morning exactly the same thing happened. Any ideas ? Is there at system log I can check on a non-rooted 10.4.1.B.0.101?
Try uninstalling Clock plus daydream and see if it still happens. That's all I can suggest.

No, no timers running and its nothing to with Clock plus. With try minus Daydream tonight - if I reset the phones clock to force the alarm nothing happens but it still occurs every real 5.00 am.

I have the same problem on my iPhone 5. Every morning the phone alarmed at 8:15 for several seconds. I found the alarm comes from a new app I download. So I deleted it , the problem was solved. You can check the websites or apps you used recently.
This is getting crazy. Factory reset, no non stock apps installed and it still happens every morning. I have also realised the sound - a triple beep stop triple bleep that goes on for 20-30 seconds is not any of the tones/alarms/notifications available on the phone.
This problem sound odd as hell, just as odd as the fact your account is from bloody 2006 and you haven't posted until now, lol. That's 8 years, man :|
Sorry for useless post.

That's because I search before I ask, so far never had any need to ask !
This is a long shot, but are you entirely sure you don't have an alarm clock hidden away somewhere in a bedside drawer or something? That triple beep sounds like it could be a normal alarm clock.
Or one of your friends pulling your leg and hidden an alarm clock under your bed, perhaps?
can you show me the screenshots of the apps currently running.
go to settings->apps->swipe left select cached procsses/and running processes both and post a screenshot here i think that should point us to a particular app..waiting for your reply...
Hey Guys,
strange problem:
I use "Gentle Alarm" as my daily alarm clock.
Usually I'm loading my phone during night and there is no problem.
But on sunday I didn't charge the phone (as I had enough power left) and in the morning the alarm clock DIDN'T work.
Anyone here who've noticed this, too?
Best regards,
Daniel

Yes. I experienced this with AlarmDroid the other day.
I _think_ it's related to Stamina mode - the app is probably idled so much it cannot wake up the phone.
I disabled Stamina and it worked (coincidence, I don't know), but adding it to the list of apps in the Stamina dialog (under settings) should do the trick, as well (again: I guess).
Let us hear how it works out - missing an alarm is no good!
Yeah would also guess it's stamia. I always put the alarm app in the list of apps to ignore stamia.
Ha - adding it in the Stamina list did the trick!!!
Thanks guys!!!

Indeed it's crucial!
Another thing I noted with Gentle Alarm and the Z3 Compact is that the volume is rather low.
When I do the Colue Calibration, the first low sound is almost inaudible, even at MAX settings.
This also means the alarm starts way too low, never happened on other devices.
Hi all,
My alarm keeps going off at the same time even though I've turned it off. I'm the clock settings all alarms are off. I think an old alarm might have been restored drum backup from my Samsung account when I first got the phone. Is there a way to disable the rogue alarm. Please help as I really don't want to factory reset the phone.
Thanks!!
Can anyone help with this. I reset all settings and it still goes off.
Did you try to just clear the data and cache of the Clock/Alarm app and start over again with the app?

Does the alarm provide any context? Like what it's for? Can you take a screenshot next time it goes off? Also, go to recent apps as soon as you snooze the alarm and see what process called the alarm. If it's the clock app, you have to dig into it and find the alarm.
Next time the alsrm goes off, don't dismiss it. Snooze it instead and try finding the process that triggered it.
Give us some more info brother, so we can try to figure this out...
it should go away after you clear cache and data for the clock app
Maybe it's a different clock app. See if you've installed another one

You have a ghost alarm too?
Hi all,
My alarm continues going off at the equal time despite the fact that i've grew to become it off. I'm the clock settings all alarms are off. I suppose an antique alarm could haveKodi nox been restored drum backup from my Samsung account after I first were given the smartphone. Is there a way to disable the rogue alarm. Please assist as I absolutely do not want to manufacturing facility reset the telephone.
Thanks!!
Mine does this, but with work.. At least 5 of them go off at around 6am... lol. Jokes aside though.
Have you guys checked your calendar app? Maybe you've accidentally set an event that goes off every day? Or something went wrong with the Google/Samsung account sync or whatever its called and its created an event for every day.
A good choice is the Wooden Digital Alarm Clock with Wireless Charging from JALL. The fact that it can set three alarms at once makes me very happy. As a result, I don't have to rely on just one person to set the alarm for my partner and myself.
Clear system cache.
If it persists use Device Care>memory to try to spot it. If you know what time it goes off, hit Clean Now a minute or two before it goes off and see what loads.
SOLVED for me. This was driving me nuts as well. My S20 goes off every 6 a.m. Investigated and it turns out there is this "new" feature called Modes and Routines. Go to Settings > Modes and Routines > Sleep (or other mode set) > Turn on Automatically > Sleep Schedule. Long press the schedule and delete it. You can probably set it for a later time or play around with the sleep settings, but deleting it entirely works.
SOLVED....I was having the same issue, when I got my Galaxy Watch 5 and set my morning alarm for work during the week, some how a 5am alarm got set to go off during the weeknds. I went into settings and then went to modes and routines and turned off the automatic alarm and that fixed the issue
