Can u help me please?
sorry for my english

Hi.
First i must remember you that this is android development section.
If you would like to flash stock firmware you have to download compatible with your phone Odin and official Samsung's firmware. You can download it from this website www.sammobile.com.
Best greetings

Don't forget to add the PIT file and uncheck "Re-Partition" .

I thought that the PIT file has to be used only if you have a non one package file, right? I haven't used it because I downloaded the latest German ROM and it was one single file that I flashed through odin (PDA). Did I do it wrong?

Some people say that flashing without the .pit file may cause problems . I always do it just in case , but as long as the phone works fine now , you're good to go .

If you select the pit file and uncheck the repartition it's exactly like not selecting the pit file in the first place... The pit file is responsible for the repartition so if you do not perform it... why selecting the file? Anyway, repartition (pit file included..) is NOT needed during normal firmware changing.

I think a cwm flashable zip of stock ROM will be handy. This will not clear the yellow triangle but it may be cwm friendly.
Sent from s6500d with custom ROM and kernel.

Where can I find PIT file? In Odin I can't find the stock rom zip file, what can I do?
I have flash 3 defrend roms sucsesfull but I can not go back to the original rom. (I have downloadit from Sammobile)

Hi, is there any way of founding out the region code?? The device is bricked so I can't install that handy app, telling you everything about your samsung... Plus if theres any way to get the PDA, CSC and phone codes that SamFirm requires I wouldn't mind knowing it. Thanks

[Q] How to flash a firmware downloaded from Samfirmware?

Hi,
I'm looking to update my Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 to the latest official Gingerbread released here in Australia. I have gone here to find and download the firmware. In all the videos I've watched, you're required to use multiple files in Odin to flash a firmware(pda, phone, csc, pit). My problem is though when I opened the downloaded firmware there was only one file, a .tar file. How would I go about flashing this?
Thanks.

Don't flash that. You may run into a problem. I recommend you use GB flashing kit from here: http://d-h.st/4np and flash it. Its for galaxy s. Its got everything you need. If you want a step by step instruction go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1637966. That is how to use it. I hope I helped! It worked for me!

[Q] How to downgrade from CM10 to stock GB?

Long story but I need to downgrade my i9000 from CM10 (currently on c-rom bean v2.3) back to stock 2.3.6 and couldnt find anything specific to the i9000 on to how to do it. Can I just get the stock firmware (ie PDA, CSC, Phone) and then flash through Odin? But I read on XDA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729458) that I may also need PIT and Bootloader? If so, where can I download these files??? Any help greatly appreciated!!!!

You have to download any 3 files stock ROM (I suggest you JVS, as JW versions can damage your IMEI), then select PDA, CSC and Phone
in ODIN. You don't have to have bootloader, as it is already in PDA, and yes, you have to have PIT file, it is usually within archive with ROM.
Just flash it and you're done. For download go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837223 and you'll find
there any ROM you want. Hope it will help you.

Thanks for your prompt response. I am looking to go back to stock GB and last time I downloaded them from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881&page=1). I chose XWJW8/XWJW1/VAUJV9/Sbl (CSC: VAU (Vodafone)) as I live in Australia and my provider is Vodafone. But how do I extract the PIT file??
Also out of curiosity, what if I chose the stock rom of another network provider? Does it make a difference??

you cannot extract a PIT File, you can download a 512 PIT file from My Android Collections
If you use telstra , it will not work for vodafone and vice versa as they are branded
(Do remember to backup your contacts, data, images etc and also your EFS folder before flashing a ROM and make sure you have more than 50% battery charge before you attempt any sort of flashing.)

Ok. So I take the 512 pit file from your link and also the official GB firmware from Ramad's thread. Then flash using Odin with only PIT, PDA, Phone and CSC. Also "re-partition", "Auto reboot" and "F Reset Time" needs to be ticked. Sorry about being so padantic but just wanted to make sure I get the steps right the first time. Thanks!!!

maybe u chose the wrong pit file... i would advise you to use 1 single md5 file instead of using parts file.

ya can be fixed bro :laugh::laugh:
you first root and install root explorer then copy "tee" folder to your sdcard
now download firmware of other region and flash it any jellybean
then root again and replace the "tee" folder with the one you saved before
if you want to downgrade to gb download files and just flash pda file and after success boot and then flash hongkong region firmware

[Q] Galaxy S Plus Bootloop problem

So my phone is constantly bootloping and it seems I cant find any solution for this. I have tried to flash with stock firmaware, flash with Bootloop fixes found on this forum, with some other ROMs. But not any of these helped. And the worst part is, that when I go to Recovery I cant do anything because it proccess some code and after few seconds it reboots. Thats a big minus because I cant install any Kernel. Its just f. up. I also managed to do a hard reset with phone dial code, it didnt fix anything. Ive also tried to flash broodROM but when I load ROM inside Odin, Odin just crashes immediately.
1. How to fix Odin so it doesnt crash when I load broodROM?
2. Is it possible to flash a kernel with Odin for Gingerbread 2.3.5?
3. Any other solution?
hi
first make sûre that joue have Samsung USB driver installed and kies was unist.. then run windows un safe mode
OK to fix Odin problème using old version is better i suggest 1.85 then right click run as admin

Hi,
what do you mean by that? Usually I would select "One Package" with newer version of Odin, but with 1.85 there is no such an option and I only have one file, which is tar.md5... Are u trying to say that I should load that file under every section or what? Because I dont have PIT file.
Thanks
