Help reflashing stock rom (semi-bricked)

After doing tons of research its clear to me that I have to flash a stock rom with odin. I have Odin 1.8.5 and the correct PDA, Phone and CSC files (I9000XXJVU_I9000OXAJVU_OXA) but when I try to reflash with repartition on nothing happens after this point:
Code:

After doing more research I figured that I need to use Odin 1.8.3 with the 512 pit file, but that pit file is bloody impossible to find. Then I found another post that said I should reflash with dbdata.rfs.tar without repartition and no pit file but nothing happens after this:

The vagueness of the information I have found is also extreamly frustrating, it seems there is no noob freindly information out there about this issue, no matter how much I search so please could someone give me some noob freindly information on how to do this.
Original problem is the E: Unknown Volume error after flashing to cm7 and them restoring backup if there is another method to fixing this

Try uninstalling the drivers, reboot pc, install drivers again, stop any process of kies, then flash again. If not, try using a different usb cable. Some cable are crap LOL If not again, try using different usb ports.

Are you flashing the entire Odin package or are you just trying to flash a pit file? What firmware are you currently on and what firmware are you trying to flash? What steps are you taking that it's failing? Can you post the Odin log?

This last one you tried to flash is never going to work because it's not AT&T i537 Firmware. I would try flashing the NE3 Odin package, it's got the latest bootloader do it should work. Give it a shot and let me know.
Okey I will try to flash the I537UCUCNE3 full package then I will let you know thanks, do I need pit for this o no?
Did iI placed the files in the right order on Odin? @Devo7v

I have no idea if you placed them in the right place, but it seems like you did. As long as you follow the instructions and it looks like the pictures you should be fine.

I know you are having problems with the pit file, the CSC file in the Odin package contains the pit file, so if you're having problems with it maybe you have a corrupted download. Try downloading the package again and checking the MD5 against the one that is posted to ensure they match. Before you try the attached file I would try flashing the CSC file only, it should work.
In either case I've attached the NE3 pit file that I extracted from the Odin package. I'm not sure which slot this needs to be flashed in, but be careful because this could brick your phone. This file cannot be flashed through the phone's recovery, you must extract the zip and flash the pit file inside through Odin.
I placed everything on its place and got the same error.......... Im giving up with this @Devo7v

It's definitely the AT&T version of the i537 and not the TelCel or Uruguayan version, correct?
It says AT&T on the back cover, is there any other way to confirm that is from AT&T? @Devo7v

I think you have a bad download then. Try downloading the NE3 package again and try a different version of Odin, 3.07 or 3.09.

messed up my phone, need help.

it's an sgh-i537
I'm not experienced in this sort of stuff, but I think my phone is considered "soft bricked"
I can boot it into recovery mode/download mode, but when I go into download mode, odin wont recognize it.
on top of that, when/if I am able to get it to recognize my phone, to my understanding I need to know what MF# I'm running- and I have absolutely no clue what that is. A bit of reading leads me to believe it means Manifest or something like that, but I still have no clue what one I have.
please help an idiot.

What you're referring to as MF# is actually the last three characters in the firmware build number, which we use to differentiate between different firmware builds. To fix your phone, you have to use Odin v3.09 to restore a stock firmware. Download this file and extract all 4 files within. You have to use all 4 files in Odin, it'll look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
(I know the picture has Odin v3.07 but I've always had success with 3.09). The process will take some time, you must be patient and let it do its thing. When you do this, your phone will automatically reboot on its own a couple times, and one of those times will be to the stock android recovery. This is completely normal. I say this because I've seen so many people freak out when their phone starts doing stuff on its own. Just let Odin go, it knows what it's doing.
I finally got odin to recognize my phone, and I used files you linked to and the top left box turned red and said "Fail!"
In the Messages box...

I believe It was 4.2.2 Jellybean. (with AT&T)
I tried to update it to lollipop when this started.
I'm still looking into the whole PIT thing, and even found a download for a PIT file for the i537 but haven't done anything with it yet because stuff I've read say thats more for the development stuff and could really mess up your phone.

You are flashing the wrong Odin file. You need to flash the files that @thisisapoorusernamechoice linked to. You should be flashing all 4 files at once otherwise you're going to end up with a phone that doesn't work properly.

As was mentioned before, it looks like you're flashing the wrong files. You've flashed ML2 firmware which is why it fails to flash all 4 files. You need to be flashing all 4 NE3 files.
alright, a little headway... I tried all 4 files on odin 3.10 and got further...

I tried them, with odin 3.04, 3.06, 3.07, 3.09 and 3.10 and it kept failing right away.
also now the other files aren't getting as far as they did before.
also minor development- for the first time, when I tried to go into download mode, it popped up the "Firmware upgrade encounter an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again" screen.
aaaand now even the files that looked like they might work aren't doing ****.

You're flashing the wrong files. The only way you're going to get this to work is if you flash the NE3 files. You have to make them work. Try downloading it again and check the MD5 to make sure you didn't get a corrupted download.
alright, just put it to rest, I am using the files I was linked to, I did check the md5.

I'm wondering if I should try harder using Kies? I can't get kies to connect to my phone (it just hangs on the connecting screen), and when I try to manually input my phone (where you put in the model and S/N), it gives me the message saying that my phone can't be verified.
update to this:
after leaving the phone alone for a week, I decided to give it another go and was somewhat successful I think. This is what happened.

now instead of automatically booting to the "connect to keis" screen, it goes to the Samsung S4 active screen and just hangs there.
I can still enter download mode.
Doesn't seem like I can ever recovery mode though. any thoughts on how to progress?
Thanks.

Can't Re-Flash Kit Kat; Fails after Set Pit File;There is no PIT partition

I am trying to root Lollipop on my I537 so I flashed back to KK successfully. Towelroot is successful so I flash LP as instructed using Flashfire but I never got rebooted to download mode. I get stuck on the S4 Active boot screen and the device seems to power down. So I boot to download mode manually and flashed the I537_OC7_Bootloader using odin but still cant get past the Active Boot screen. So I am trying to flash back to KK again. I was able to do this before last night but today I can't seem to get the firmware to flash! Can some one help me?

Ok so I got Odin to flash everything from SGH-I537UCUCNE3_v4.4.2_ATT_ALL and even a pit file i found here. Problem is I get the S4A boot screen and it says booting recovery in blue at the top right but then it dies. Any Ideas? I got Odin to flash by using a USB port on back of my PC on the mobo rather then the front USB ports on the case.
I also do not have access to stock recovery even after a successful NE3 flash with Odin! Have I bricked my device or just soft bricked it?
Anyone?
