Hello
I was reading a lot of reviews before buying Optimus 4X. All of them were mentioning very fast auto-focus before taking a picture. Mine is very slow,
like realy, realy slow. My phone came out with 10B, I upgraded it to 10F. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Can autofocus be set to infinity?
Or some other setting? I tried sport mode, flash off, iso settings with no avail.
Looking for some suggestions.

My camera takes 2-3 seconds to take a picture, and it's quite often out of focus too.
This has always been a problem for me on Cyanogen 7, and also Slim ICS 4.2 (both CM9 kernel and Semaphore).
Anyone know what the cause might be? I can't find much on google/xda about slow GT-I9000 cameras.
I don't remember the stock ROMs ever being that slow.
Hi
the problem of the slow autofocus is caused by the camera (hardware) and i noticed, that it take ages to focus, when you try to make a picture in the dark. I read that the Valuepack has a faster autofocus but now i flashed the valuepack and its as slow as it is on any other rom. I think this problem can't be solved so far...
Guys I have a problems my camera sometime doesn't focus someone told me it might need a lens calibration does anybody knows how to do this ??? Please help me out
Have you managed to find a solution for the focus problem?
I seem to have the same problem and the camera refuses to focus for a second picture until I increase of decrees the ZOOM factor for a bit. I think that this is a software problem though as I do not recall having this problem on Android 4.1.1

I had that problem as well. I think it's a setting thing. When you leave it on auto pic, the camera is trying to use the "best mode" to shoot that particular picture. When I use Expert settings and set the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO myself, not only do I get much better shots, but I no longer have that focusing problem anymore. My wife is a photog and she taught me about this stuff. =)
Unfortunately it does the same on Expert mode...
I thought I'd got used to the Z3c camera -- after battling it for weeks I finally figured out how to get decent (though not stellar) performance from it. But then last night for the first time I had to take a bunch of people pics in a dimly-lit room and every single one of them came out blurry to some extent. With flash, without flash, different scene modes used, no scene mode, different focus modes, auto, manual... nothing I did resulted in a decent photo. This did not seem to be an autofocus issue -- nothing in the frames was sharp at all. It seemed more like a shutter speed issue, like the camera was just selecting a shutter speed too slow to freeze even minor movements. Anyone else have this problem? Was I doing something dumb?!
I borrowed a friend's iPhone 5s and every single photo came out perfect. This Z3c camera is seriously starting to bug me. I just seem to be constantly fighting it to get acceptable results. It almost makes me pine for my N4 camera, which is saying something!

check capturing speed with this app >> CameraW
it can be application bug
if the capturing speed is normal with this app then u need to repair firmware to reinstall system app like Xperia Camera (By PC companion)

Hi, I bought a P9 that is yet to arrive but the other day I was using my friends P9 and wanted to try the camera in pro mode (which is the mode that I use the most on my phones) and I noticed that after some speeds, when playing with shutter speed, the viewfinder image just stops updating the amount of light that should enter ie. I'm indoors with artificial light and if I set the speed to the fastest posible the viewfinder does not go black (and it stops showing the differences in lightning way before the fastest shutterspeed). Same goes the other way, if I set the speed to a ver very low one the viewfinder does not end up looking white, so it makes this feature useless cause the only way I have to see if I'm using the correct speed is to take the shot and then open the picture to see if it was the correct speed. I noticed this happening also in the Huawei Mate 8. I'm used to the LG G4 wich every step of the shutter speed shows a difference in lightning in the image your watching. Is there a way to fix this? does this happend with every Huawei phone? I haven't got the phone yet but I'm already thinking of selling it and getting an S7
I am also coming from an LG G4 and found the lack of feedback in terms of how much light I get by changing different setting, as I major drawback. To answer your question: yes, all Huawei phones seem to lack this feature. The only option is to take a shoot at that setting and adjust back and forth, per the exposure you see on the picture taken.

thanks a lot, I'm really going to miss G4's camera app along with it camera quality so I think I'm gonna sell the p9 as soon as I get it and get an S7, the pro mode in a camera is way too important to me to withstand this Huawei bug like behavior =/
If you lock the shutter speed, then by changing to different ISO values you get a good feedback on the live screen related how much light gets in. But unfortunately does not work the other way around which is equally important, to lock the ISO and play with shutter speed. So it`s a half of drawback but still annoying.
Hallo everyone.
Many times, when I shoot a picture in internal, I would expect that camera flash works (in auto mode).
Instead it doesn't and pictures are quite dark; If I force camera flash on I can see the difference and it's a lot better.
Does anyone agree with me? Is there a way to tell the phone that I want the flash working even with more light?
I am not satisfied with that and it's the first time I notice such a thing in my phone history!
Thank you!
