Hi all I'm Marco from Italy! This is my first post and i'm afrad it's a sad one...
I've flashed Rocketrom V2 and it was working, then i've flashed HydraCore v7 OC, it has updated all the apps but it did'nt go past this operation.
So i've flashed HydraCore v7 No OC. now it stands stuck at bootlogo and it won't go on CWM or Dowload mode...
I've done every passage using a safe Kernel with MMC_CAP_ERASE removed.
Don't know what to think.
Please help! thanks!
this rom won't work with hydracore v7, that's why it does not boot. but why can't you get into recovery Mode? what happens when you press vol up power and home together?
i't working don'tn know why! i've tried to boot at least 10 times on CWM and it did'nt work...now it's working
thanks anyway!!!
i've flashed PA 2.51 JB cause rocket seems a bit laggy to me. hydracore woud do just fine with this ROM right?
yes, any rom that's not based on xxls2 or xxls7 will work just fine with hydracore v7
thanks again! will try right now!
sorry, what will you try ?
to flash hydracore on PA 2.51 ...done and it's running flawlessy by now
gr8.. v7 is a wonderful kernel. hopefully we will get it for TW jellybeans as well

please where did you download hydra core v7 from. I need it as i'm about to flash ultimate jb ro (currently using rocket rom v3). Wouldve usd PA like u but i love my snote app and have a lot of notes. If possible could u upload hydracore v7? I need d overclocking features
It won't work with any TW JB rom. You can OC JB leaks using tegrak app from the playstore
Does it support overclock GPU? Currently running ultimate jelly bean Rom with Philz kernel

There is an option to OC GPU in tegrak. Not sure if it works.

Guys what it the best kernel for checkrom V6?
I mean.. i want advices BUT why did you made such a choice?
For me it is Franco hands down. Tested v2, v6 and the latest 'test' one (this will become v10 tomorrow or the day after, judging by the users' comments), and all proved to be smooth, fast, stable and easy on the battery on my Note.
I would second Franco kernel also. Been using it since v6 had no problems with lag at all. Battery life with this combination seems good as well.
Now this is a good start
I have been in CF ROOT for XXLC1 but i dunno why i feel the stock kernel is a little bit lagged in menus!
Will try Franco Kernel
Thanks for your replys!

Franco 9.....pure awesomeness !! Best battery backup m getting by using it. Earlier tried Abyss 4.2 but got a high battery drain !
Go for Franco !!!
but doesn't changing the kernel change some supported features in the rom ? like ntfs support for instance ?

Check the changelogs of the kernel you are about to use it will give you all the salient features and changes that it has and can happen!
Cheers!
Hey guys,
Don't wanna seem like jacking the thread, but is it possible to install Vertamus's ICS theme in V6?

Yeah of course! I have it installed on my phone. just go to the inbuilt kitchen (update it to the latest version from google play store) and download the file given there under the themes section. Its version1.1 as of now. And install it in recovery !!
Cheers! Hit thanks if it helped!
I was using stock CF-Root and it was fine, but the battery drain was a bit higher vs V5 CheckROM. Installed Franco and its running great, 1.5% Per Hour idle.
was using checkrom v6 with Franco's test kernel. Seems like its draining battery more than stock. Gonna verify it over the nxt few days by using stock
Also on Franco test kernel.
Also on franco kernel v9, works like a charm. Good battery life but no as good as CheckROM v5 & franco v6
For me Franco kernel cause constant sods.
I keep trying a newer versions and still same issue. This problem doesn't occur for me on other kernels

Yeah for some of the users Franco gives sods or screen salad issue - pixelated screen while other kernels work fine for them! Thankfully works fine for me

Are there any good custom kernels that work on ICS (touchwiz) roms? I tried the lp6 rooted kernel but it was too battery inefficient imo. Franco.kernel didn't work and i had to do a nandroid restore. And SpeedyMod is GB only for sure. I'm running tmt 1.1 ROM at the moment and would like a good kernel to go with it...any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Dafuq kernel is totally custom.

I don't think he was trying to be mean. Dafuq is the only custom ICS kernel for touchWiz roms currently. More info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1617981

Thanks. Initial search didn't show any results so i assumed the obvious lol my bad.
I'm trying to flash abyssnote 4.2 custom redpill kernel to my note. It has been "install from sd card complete" state for about 30minutes now and numbers keep running under the screen (65000 at the moment). Is this normal?
I have Cassie's xtraliterom + lp6 modem + abyssnote 4.2 custom kernel in my Note and i'm trying to flash in Stunner ICS. But i have this problem going on with abyss 4.2 kernel installation.
I'm using this installation guide:
http://team-passion.com/index.php/roms/galaxy-note/13-ics-stunner-for-galaxy-note-gt-n7000
Edit:
It went back to CWMR when i pressed back button. I flashed speedmod kernel back and now i'm breathing again. I don't know what went wrong.
Dear all,
I need help choosing the right rom for me?
My criteria are:
:: Fast
:: Fast
:: Fast
:: Not to many extras
My problem is that i am running running 4.0.4 CriskeloROM and a short while after reload, it gets so slooow? : /
The best for me, would be the cleanest new rom there is - So that i can install all the extras that I want?
Any ideas?
Stock rom with notecore or speedmod kernel

I back that... u can remove all the bloatware using TB
I also agree
Sent from my gnote as always Stock 4.0.4 NoteCore v14.1 std with XXLR1 modem
I would say Notecore V14+Cleannote V5 and this is my personal view.
I would choose Rocketrom v10 and notecore v14.1OC kernel. Rocketrom is very stable, everything works and is much faster than stock ICS. Also the overclock to 1.6 and undervolt of the notecore OC kernel doesn't give any problems in stability on my Note. Else switch to v14.1STD.
CleaNote and Notecore OC
I'm using CleaNote V5 with NoteCore V14.1std. - very smooth and fast on daily use. ( I did a full wipe coming from ALBA rom)
Has anyone used both Chrack's and CleaNote and has any opinions on both?
I really like Anidroid 0.8... Time and time again I go and try different roms (CM10, PA JB, LiquidSmooth JB, CM9 etc..) and I keep coming back to Anidroid 0.8 everytime... It's a winner... I have recently installed it with the GL NoteCore Hydracore v1 kernel... Give it a try.
You may try my current build. CleaNote v5 and HydraCore v1 - OC.
Rom is stock with minimal tweaks and Kernel was built with harmed magical elves.
CM9?
Fast
Fast
Fast
No extras at all
Wont give you regrets, headaches, & future bugs!
It all depends on you if you want to bloat it with your own apps

Hi...
I am currently running the Ultimate N7000 XXLSC JellyBean 4.1.2 v5.1 with NEW Philz Safe Kernel 3.73 for XXLSC and New CWM Touch 6.0.1.9... Can anyone assist with how i can overclock this kernel.
Also i am pretty new to flashing ROMs and a NOOB so please help...
Philz kernel doesnt support OC yet, since JB is still not official, there are no source-codes for the kernel.
however, some users have reported that Tegrak is working with the new JB leaks so that might be worth a shot, Personally I dont like it very much, but some people do so at least test it for your self.
Be careful when messing with frequencies and voltages etc, dont set anything on boot until you know its working safely. otherwise it can cause more harm than good.
Also keep an eye on the hydracore thread as maxfu has managed to make the hydracore work with TWJB leaks. So if he has released it, it might have an OC version

You may try to use Hydracore kernel (please, use search for more details), there are some modifications with overclocked kernel (up to 1.6 GHz). But do you really need overclocking?
hycracore nirvana have some problem with the camera recording and also wacthing streaming movie and video...so beware. the respond of this kernel is good and fast no lagging, i'm using the latest one update 26 jun one. so still waiting man fu to update the kernel. the kernel are almost perfect. cheers
I am use tegrak overclock. All works perfectly. Also i really advice 2 use this programm. Only 2.5 buckses.

what the difference between Notecore and HydraCore ???
which is better?? and can i use it with Stock ICS (XXLRT) ??
finally what the difference between these kernals and others..?
peace....
Stop shouting - using bold font isn't so nice.
Read the kernel threads and you will know what features they have and what you need.
There is no best whatever.

Yes you can use notecore and hydracore kernels with xxlrt rom.
What is the difference... try them and tell us your opinion.
Tips: Dont flash hydracore v7 (broken camera and other stuff, and you will need extra file if you want revert to other kernel, just dont flash it)
As said before, HydraCore v4.3b OC is the best combination with alliance xxlrt for me. Great performance and battery life.
And if you like, you can try notecore 14.1 (it is the latest one from notecore, and lets say the best one from notecore)
