Hey folks,
So yeah, I'd like to remap the G button to the camera. This was possible in all GB ROMs by editing a .kpl file in /system/usr. I remember the G button's number in the file was 95, but I can't find this key in CM10. Can anyone help with this? Cheers!

I got that far myself, thanks... but as I said, G button on GB was nr 95, I can't find that here anywhere. Tried adding a string with it manually, didn't work.

I'm also interested in such an option.
Any news on this one? My Diamond1 had the option "Keylock" onder Settings --> System... The D2 hasn't anymore?
I'm Currently using ThrottleLock V.06 The lockscreen like on Android. It has the option to wake on any key.
Also try the cab file I have below. I used it on my Elfin with 6.5 ROM to Auto Lock when I closed the screen. I'm sure it has the same option to wake on any button.

flash your rom again?
no i dont want to get the search feature back
i want to configure the search button to do something else, like open a browser or a certain app.
You might have to change the .kl file (system/usr/keylayout/) to report a different key code for search key.
yep found it
key 127 and 217
thanks.
I also found it, but which file?.. how should i change it? Lets say, i want to change it to open my stock browser..

I'm trying to figure out too. Trying to make my camera shutter button to quick launch my camera in cm10.1 where this feature is lost from stock.
My device uses gpio-keys.kl, and some other .kl files under different scenario.
You can have my gpio-keys.kl if you want to explore.

No sweat. Glad I helped.
In stock Sony ROM, the camera shutter button is able to quick launch camera from deep sleep.
But in cm10.1, this feature is lost, probably because the key is intercepted in interceptKeyBeforeQueueing method in android.policy.jar
I need help in smali programming for that lol.
