Hi,
I have this rom and I tried to install this battery icon. Now my phone don't want to start...
Is it possible to put my old icon without flashing the whole rom ?
Thanks.
I don't know what I've done (I tried to install again the ROM) but my phone don't want to start now... It stays at the "Samsung GALAXY Ace GT-S5830i" screen...
Your phone is bricked.
You have to flash it with Odin (v3).
Search for it in the "sticky" thread.

Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
If you can search for ezbase rom in the forums and flash 2.2.1 firmware... follow ALL of the instructions then after that completes let your phone boot up, shut it down then reboot into recovery then flash your 2.2.1 rom then hopefully you'll be good to go! Let me know if it works

Know how you feel mate, I've been in a similar situation God knows how many times.
As stated before you just need to get a full firmware (3 files) I would get JVB as this has all 3 files. Make sure you download the 512 pit file too and select partition in Odin.
Here is the link for JVB http://hotfile.com/dl/114645023/5ea002a/PDA_I9000XWJVB_-_PHONE_I9000XXJVK_-_CSC_I9000XEEJV3.rar.html
Ezbase is the safest...

hi,
heres a good 2.2.1 ROM with safe bootloaders....
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19506141/Stock - stock modems/I9000XXJPU (2.2.1).exe
latest GB JVH with bootloaders (deodexed and ZIPall.)
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19506141/GT_I9000_XWJVH_XXJVO_NEEJV3_Sbl.exe
you can flash it with odin, using 512 pitfile....Be sure to tick repartition..
you will lose all your apps. and [email protected]
pit file and odin you can download here..
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19506141/flash en drivers/Odin_+_pit.exe
after flashing let phone reboot and voilla.
Hi all
I'm currently using Glitch's CM7 kernel on my phone, but I would really love to change it so that the kernel doesn't have a custom logo (GLITCH Galaxy S) and instead behaves like a stock kernel (just shows model number i9000M)
Is it possible to modify the image using Glitch's source, and if so, how?
Thanks in advance.

No dude, theirs no way, sorry to be so blunt....but on this particular occasion your out of luck lol

Right, I think it should be possible to do it considering I can build a zImage file from Glitch's source on GitHub. I just need to know what to change
i think the best way to know what to change there is speak to someone dev about it, maybe they answer you

My personal favourite is ImaginaryICS Final.
It's getting a little bit older now but still a fantastic ROM with good speed and excellent battery life.

Use nandroid Backup!!!
Bro if you have the nandroid backup then use that....
Just go to Recovery Mode. Flash through CWM and Restore the backup... You will get the stock rom back. Only Kernel should be restored using the boot.img backup created when flashing Kernel via KernelFlasherV2-U....
Source:- I did the same thing to get back Stock ROM...
Why go to difficult method when you can do it easily... LOL...
Press Thanks if this helped you....
