I didnt get any confirmation email either but I checked my google wallet and it confirmed that my order was sent

I think 2 orders were placed for me on accident.
ordered at 11:32 eastern
confirmation email at 11:32 eastern
no problems with google wallet or any errors at all. had an auto refresh on with 1 second interval and just sat here watching my screen. pretty sure i was one of the very first ones

Ok...
Just got my N7 .. but...
When I tried to open it, I found two seals on each side of the box, looks like someone sliced the first layer seal then put the second on on top of it.. ( Cant upload pics on work place...)
Finally open the box... my N7 screen was on..... and the body is super hot..
is this normal........
or I am just been paranoid

When you went to login for the first time did the email field already have your address filled in? Mine said welcome Pete and had my gmail address... creeped me the F out

Maybe they updated the software to 4.1.1 for you and then repackaged them?
When you pre ordered there was an option to link your Google account to the device. You probably didn't uncheck the box as it was set to default.

Yep! I'm sure they opened them to put in our info and update them. I checked and there were no updates available so I'm assuming that's what it was. I'm not concerned- it's in perfect condition, had a charge on it, looks completely untouched, and came from Google this way.

My info was already in before I connected to any wifi. They would have had to have had access to the device to do that. Seeing as these were made by ASUS and not Google, the only way for Google to put our info in and update them would be for them to open them up. Not a big deal at all.

OK... tried to get hold on Google reps, but after listened to the music for 10 min, I gave up.. need to work...
Yes, when I opened the box, the system already had my email address.. and said welcome xxx, that was creepy
And my battery was 40% left
the system still on 4.1, a few mins later got the 4.1.1 update.
If this re-taped boxes are not coincidences, then I'll keep my N7, and it is really dumb they have to OPEN box to link account and machine together....
At least I hope one good thing is they were checking the device for me lol

Nope. I was on hold + call for 75min 41s.
I called them last night, was on hold for 55 minutes, told them of my issue (dent on Nexus 7 out of the box), guy said he will need to escalate the issue, asked for my email address, and that they'd contact me within 48 hrs. Talked to the guy for about 2 minutes.
I've received an email about our conversation and currently waiting for a real response...
Damn that's depressing

Yeah but that doesn't mean they'll talk to you faster, it just avoids the verification process. I did that and waited 1:37 hours to speak to a rep.

same here... but mine was for my backlight being broken.

I waited 2x for an hour or more then went online. The play store website had a contact me place under support. I gave my number it called got right through. I tried to do it again today and gone from the support website.

Google is really going to lengths in order to deny us proper support. We need a news site to get this in the public.
Just keep pressing 0. If youre already in a call then don't press 0 because it might reset your 'on hold time'. That's how I always get to an operators

I'd read that the wait was an hour and more......but after a few beers, I had 20 minutes spare before turning to bed and decided to ring the 0800 UK number for a laugh. I rang at 2150 BST and to my astonishment, my call was answered after 7 minutes of Vivaldi! I choose option 2.
Buddy of mine was on hold for about an hour and a half last night. His N7 screen flickers. I'm kinda glad I waited until a Retail release now and bought mine through Sam's, that way I could take it back to the retail location if a problem arose, however mine is working perfectly with no problems so I guess I'm lucky..

My google experience
I pre ordered the google nexus 7 on the day the went on sale. One week after they started shipping i sent google a email asking them when mine would ship. I was told within a week. Two weeks later i call them to see what is up. As at this point my account was charged for the device. They tell me shipping any day. Two days later i see on my wallet account as google nexus 16 gb ORDER CANCELED BY SELLER.
So i call google back and ask what is up. they said it was a computer issue. And that i would have to reorder. At this time they where backorderd for up to 4-6 weeks on the 8 gb . OUT OF STOCK ON 16. So i ordered the 8 gb version. After a week i received it. Two weeks later i start seeing lines on the screen when you hold it on the left side of the screen as well as the screen moving.
I CALL GOOGLE BACK . they tell me that I can send it back and DO A advance replacmeent exchange. I tell them im not having my money put on hold. I will send it back in a few weeks and just reorder another device when they receive it.
So i decided to just order the device and send this back into them when i receive the new device. .
Its now the end of Aug the new device comes in the mail . It comes in with a CRACKED SCREEN . SO not 30 minutes after usp drops the device off i call GOOGLE YET AGAIN. TO GET A RMA for the brand new replacement device. I GET THAT JUST FINE.Send google this device that i only had for 30 minutes in my posession. still at this time holding on the original device as its still working . you just cant push on the left side of screen. GOOGLE Recieved the device on the 5th of september. Since then i have had several phone calls and exchange of emails. Being told that the device i sent them back was the original device and they WOULD NOT ISSUE A REFUND OR REPLACE THE DEVICE. STATING THAT i would have to prove what device i sent in. They have it so i have no way of doing so . Other then they can see what device is being used and connected to my google wallet. They understand and can see this so im told. But still refuse to help me in any way. So now today on 9/27 I contact them for the last time and demand i get a RMA to send the original device back to them as proof that it was not the one they keep saying they have. SO NOW GOOGLE HAS ALL OF MY MONEY BOTH OF MY DEVICES . AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ME AS A CUSTOMER

I get it. There is a whole problem about the Nexus 7's screen thing. But I have bought a C90 numbered nexus 7 and is perfectly fine just like rest of the population had.

Fair enough... did you ever find out the reason for your cancellation? I was going to try that same code when I finally decide on a color scheme, but if that's the reason yours got nixed, I may just suck it up and pay the full price.
I used the code this morning. Order hasn't been canceled yet as far as I know. Did they email you to say it was canceled?

They emailed me that it was automatically cancelled. I got in contact with an online chat rep and she referred me to a number. I called the number and got tired of waiting so I hung up. So I never really found out why it was canceled. Could have been a system glitch butI'm going to take it as a sign that I should just save my money and wait at a later point to get a new device. Currently rocking a G2 so it won't hurt but I really wanted a Moto X.
My order was cancelled because the name on the credit card i entered didnt match the one i entered exactly... Missed the middle initial.
The charge also appeared on my statement, but never went through and disappeared about a week later. When i reordered, with the correction, it was fine.

That may very well be it. Didn't think that could be the issue since everywhere else I've used my card I've gotten away with not including the middle initial. Dang it!

I got the email around 7:30am and placed the order the night before. Now I'm deciding whether I should order it again or stick with the G2. Yesterday was basically an impulse buy since it was the first day for Moto Maker on VZW.
Could also be adding the accessories. Some people were able to get order to go through without accessories after not being able to complete order with them.

I have been tracking my preorder for my note 9 from Samsung UK and all has been fine. Today I just checked and it keeps saying enter valid order number which I keep doing! And I still get the same message almost like it doesn't exist. I tried tracking my galaxy watch order and it is working fine. Anyone else having this issue?

Mine is the same. Emailed samsung and they said order will not show until the 23rd when delivery is due to start and that confirmation email is confirmation that they have the order. Stupid system if you ask me. How many people will have asked the same question about why the order is not showing!

That is so stupid, mine showed up everyday on the tracker showing order placed then order is being processed. Today it just keeps asking me to enter valid order details, what are Samsung UK thinking? What is the point of a tracker? I will be calling them tomorrow and see if they give me the explanation and I will post the outcome in this thread

Mine has never shown anything other than please enter valid order details, suppose more worrying when yours has shown being processed and then goes back to that.
I dont think it ever showed my order status, ordered a case and the phone, it showed the case but not the phone but got the same answer from Samsung, you will see status once it's shipped on 23rd.
Mine has never showed on my Samsung account or using order number.
Only have the original email. Was the same last year until it left the warehouse.
I feel I read the same threads every year ?
It will arrive on time or Tuesday at the latest.
I doubt that, Samsung UK sent it right on cue lat year to the day

My order status has now changed and is now showing as pre order and for shipping (as we already know) on the 23rd. We can live in hope that it's a bit earlier can't we :fingers-crossed:
I think I secretly enjoy all this pre phone carry on, checking and re checking!

I ordered my phone and case within a few minutes of the pre-order site opening. Confirmation email said 'ships on 24th'.
I checked my account a couple of days later and it showed the two items and the same date.
But I can't even get into the account now. It just rejects attempts to log in.
I can get in to my account but nothing is showing. I was told by Samsung nothing will show until 23rd.

As I hardly use 64gb In my phone so if there isn't any other difference I'll order the 128gb

I believe you are right thinking that, the spec is the same for all the other parts of the phone. No doubt someone will correct me if I am wrong
