I am starting to think google allowed their own dealers to make purchases first before they let the public purchase from the play store because it is impossible to order that many devices in that short period of time...i could barely order 1

If that's a real order I would be highly surprised if Google actually allows it to go through.
I don't think that's real. Most credit card got a system where if you are charged the same amount multiple times it will stop proccessing to prevent something like that.

Unless its a business acct with a high limit and the card holder informed the card issuer before making the purchase.

Not really. Once the device is added to your cart, you can adjust the quantity without a reload. So it's possible someone added the N4, upped the quantity and then checked out.

*This is directed at Sprint or Radioshack employees*
Okay, so I'm thinking of moving to the Epic, and I was out at RadioShack and I put in a $50 preorder on impulse. I would have rather purchased from a Sprint retail store, but I was a dumbass and did it anyway.
Anyway, I have an "employee discount" (I believe it is under Wells Fargo, it's 27%) on my account that someone at the Sprint store 'hooked me up with' when I bought my Hero there.... (long story)
Anyway, if I activate this with radioshack, on a family member's line, then transfer the phone to my line, do you forsee radioshack f---ing my plan up somehow? I don't think I could get the 27% discount back again if this happened, and 27% is a LOT on my five lines.
Thanks in advance.
employer discounts are tied to the account, not the device. for example I receive 25% dscount monthly
I figured as much, but I am a little worried since the plan is going to be modified to include the $10/ month charge for 4g.
Anyone else have any other thoughts or first hand experience?

Don't be worried, even if they f*** it up they'll have to fix it. If you get a 27% discount thru your employer they have to honor it just like that !
Your NVP discount will be okay, however starting the 27th lines 3-5 will no longer be discounted.

So I'm attempting to buy an iPad to use it to show clients photos, instead of printing portfolios. So I turn to good ol' craigslist. Got 2 scam replies. I see they are getting more clever. lol.
#1:
Hey, sorry for the delayed response, but someone already bought the iPad and
picked it up. You might want to try and buy one where I bought mine at. It's
an auction site kind of like ebay that has quite a few iPads.
I am usually able to pick them up there between $130 and $160, I think it's so
cheap because the site is newer and there aren't many bidders yet. Anyways,
I'd recommend you shop there if your still in need of an iPad. The site is
called BIDSAROO.com. I just checked and it looks like they have one
ending soon and the bid is at $53 so far.
When I signed up they gave me this coupon to give to friends, but I haven't used
it yet. Your more than welcome to use it, but I think it expires tomorrow. It's
good for placing some free bids on any auction. The coupon is: free3042
Hope this helps you!
-Chad
P.S. Here is a little secret I'll pass on to you. Right now there is a glitch/hack
on the site that will allow you to block other people from bidding on the item.
When you place a bid, hold down the enter key until the auction counts down to 0.
This should allow you to win any auction instantly. But I'm not sure how long it
last, I'm sure the site is working on fixing the glitch/hack.

Hi, I am getting back to you regarding the 64GB 3G iPad from Craigslist
My name is Arianna and I am now in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.
I am selling the ipad for $450 USD. I have attached some pics with it to this email.
The ipad is still available and I hope you are still interested. The ipad was bought brand new from Apple a few weeks ago.
About the ipad I can say it's in perfect shape, as I used it only for a few weeks. Included in the $450 price is everything that came with the ipad.
The ipad is here with me.
I tried to be as thorough as I could with the presentation so you can have all the info if you decide to go ahead and buy it.
Please get back to me and let me know if you like the ipad if you're really interested in buying it.
Thanks,
Arianna

Your $450 gets you *only* what came with the iPad, not the iPad itself.
"the ipad is here with me"
They're just hoping you'll skim over that since it doesn't really make any sense, not until you get the first part anyway...
Deception is fraud, so even though it doesn't say you're actually buying an iPad what they're doing is against the law.

OK so to add to the Saga of f**k ups by Google, Managed to order 2 phones (one for me and one for my brother) ordered 2x16gb and received 2x8gb. Rang Google to play hell with them and they basically told me that I either return them and wait up to 4 weeks for stock to come in or take the hit and pay £279 for 8gb. This is totally unacceptable but what else can I do?? I sold my S3 when i got my order accepted. :crying:

Edit:I apologize for being an ass
thats sucks! well if i were you, i would just send it back and get the 16! and from then till now just use a chippie phone until it arrives... but what an inconvinience

I'm just annoyed by all these whiny people. What he has there is profit. Just sell it on ebay and wait a month. Sure he has every right to return it. But with such a high demand for this device and the chances being high that he maybe wouldn't have gotten the 16 GB he could make the best out of it done returning it will have him waiting.

If that's true it's a mistake. iTunes has a physical presence and grandparents aren't going to go buy their grandkids a digital code on the computer. They will pick up a card at the end of a register though.
Physical cards need to exist.

By any chance you purchased your N5 with a credit card (Amex)? I know with Amex they will give you 60 days on lost or accidental warranty. This is one of the reason why I purchased my N5 with Amex
That sucks. Many don't know this but many credit card companies offer insurance for cell phones. My Wells Fargo credit card, not debit, automatically covers my phone with no monthly premium as long as I pay my bill with that card. Brilliant!

+1 for the 'have your credit card company pay for the fix' idea:
I did the same thing with my Nexus 5 three days after recieving it, and my credit card has 'purchase protection' for 90 days after I buy something. I called in, told them I dropped the phone, sent the invoice from LG to them, and I just got a check for $146 paying for the repairs.
Also, once you do get it fixed, I highly recommend this case: http://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Neo-Hybrid-Case-Nexus/dp/B00EV8Y684/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1389588258&sr=8-2&keywords=spigen+nexus+5

Did you get to keep yours in the mean time? That would be an important factor to me seeing as everything works the screen is just cracked.
I found this http://www.etradesupply.com/lg-nexus-5-lcd-screen-and-digitizer-assembly-with-frame-and-battery.html all I would have to do is add the motherboard and snap everything back into place. If I can save some money, time and my nerves I'd just send it to LG.

I had to ship it to them and then they came back with a quote. Seems like that was other people's experience from what I read around the net. $146 seems to be the standard charge. Was without the phone for approximately 3 weeks, but it was right during the holidays too.
That link is interesting, had I seen something like that I may have been tempted. Mine had damage to the side of the case too, so I just sent it back and went back to my gnex for a few weeks.
UPDATE:
sorry for the long long delay in the update. So i purchased it through amazon for 29.99 with a sprint upgrade.
Discover would only refund 29.99 because that is how much i 'paid' for the phone.
so long story short, use a case or just be careful with your phone. or do both
annnyways on on the htc one m8. kinda miss the nexus 5.

lol i already fixed it and gave it to a friend. Next time i'd just buy the nexus 5 with no contract upgrade, its cheap enough to do it that way.

So when they replace your screen do they do a factory reset? Should I backup data and apps?
