Problem Upgrading to WM2005 Stuck on coloured stripes

Help!!!!
I am following the instructions for the upgrade to WM2005 from this location: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_5.1.1700_build_14343_Upgrade however I am at this stage
When you are done, remove your device from the cradle.
Press Power + Softreset, and when the colored stripes (well, this is the bootscreen )shows on the screen.
If you have a PH20B device such as MDAIII, QTEK 9090, XDAIIs, PDA2K etc.
* Quickly press Record+Camera before the versions appears at bottom right
* OR, press Power+Softreset+Camera+Record at the same time.
I can not get the 3 options to come up on the screen and I'm just left with the device showing the coloured stripes.
Can anyone give anymore advise??
My device data is as follows prior to update PH20B 0 BENG G T-MOB005 1.06.00 0 0 1.06.160 1.10.00 10.00

Decided to go back!!

Decided it would be best to go back to old version.
Ran the Official MDA update which changed the radio, ex rom and rom back
However on hard reset none of the extended rom is loaded. Ran the extended rom unlocker. I can see cabs in the extended rom but am unable to copy any of them, if i click on unlock i get the following error.
ERROR:
FL_IOCTL_BDTL_HW_PROTECTION - A device attached to the system is not functioning.
Is this because I did this in the attempted upgrade to 2005?
Setup the Storage size to get a full 60MB and not 43 MB
* Copy Repart_DOC.exe from the "Preparation\DOC repartitioning tool" folder to your device and launch it.
* Set size of Extended ROM to 128 kb
I set it to 128 as suggested, do i need to run this again but change the value???

Most extended roms are 16mb+, so I recommend instead of 128kb, i put it to 16000kb ;-) = 16mb or known as like 15.58mb

If you reset, press AND HOLD the camera and record button, then you will get the 3 options.
you can navigate through them with the record (down) and camera (select) buttons. if your done you can press mail, to "save".

Thanks everyone for the advise.
I could not get the 3 options no matter how hard I tried. I then reflashed with the origional T-Mobile rom radio and extend rom.
I just could go without WM2005 so i tried again, flashed and hey presto the options appeared!!!.
The only thing I can think of and that should be added to the tutorial is to reboot after installing ActiveSync V4 as this was on the only difference, flashed 3 times with WM2005 before reboot and no joy yet after PC reboot all worked first time!

BlueAngel BootLoader

Hello Everyone,
My BA is stuck at the Splash Screen, I suspect that the Bootloader is corrupt. Does anyone know how to flash it?

try this for whoever get stuck at boot screen or in bootloader mode
1. Download mtty v1.42 from http://files.pdamobiz.com/ROMs/XDA/mtty1.42.rar
2. Stop ActiveSync, by Task Manager (press Ctrl + Alt + Delete)
kill two processes rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe
3. put your device into Bootloader Mode by pressing Power + Record Button and Soft Reset.
4. Run mtty (from downloaded) Choose WCEUSBSH001
5. type "set 14 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset.
6. type "task 28" to get your device formatted
7. type "task 0" to ask your device reboot
8. take the device out of the cradle, and manually reset it if it does not do that already.

Followed the steps before, and followed them again.. I'm still stuck.
Something interesting happened though:
There are two horizontal stripes across the splashscreen now.
I already tried to flash the OS, It doesn't work with the standard imate flash executable (It used to work before) and now I'm getting a 'MODEL ID ERROR' when I try to flash it using the BAupgrade... executable.
I tried with the MAupgradenoid tool, it flashes but I still get stuck on the splashscreen...

BlueAngel Bootloader
Anyone has a way to either dump a bootloader file for the BA (Providing the file of course) or alternatively directives to copy it from another device (From the same make, i.e. Imate PDA2K) ?

I did, but as I specifed in me earlier post, eventhough the MAUpgradenoID flashes the files, I still get stuck at the splashscreen.
Interesting point: After flashing witht the MAUpgradenoID, I try reflashing back with the BAupgradeid.. I get the Model Error ID error back..
Something in the BA is wrong, and I believe it may be in the Bootloader. So, is there a way to replace the bootloader itself?
EDIT: By the way, I can't seem to be able to place a WM5 rom instead of the WM2003, although the flashing procedure starts, it quickly ends (i.e. without the percentage bar appearing) and says that the flashing worked successfully... But nothing gets actually flashed.

but i have to warn you, replacing a booter is very dangerous, anything goes wrong during process will kill your device. so please handle with care.

[Q] Help, Tytn II won't boot

Hello,
I have a boot problem witk my HTC Tytn II.
I have read several treads with solutions but none of them worked.
At this moment when I boot my HTC, it starts with the screen "smart mobility" and then it goes to black. I have tried to get into the bootloader screen. This has worked a few times, but for some reason I can't get into it anymore.
I have tried the following things:
When I could get into the bootloader screen, is said something like this:
KAIS 130
SPL-1.93.0000
CPLD-8
I have tried mtty:
boot command did not work;
info 8 showed some bad blocks
set 16 0 did work
task 8 did not work (caused mtty to hang)
task 28 did work
task 0 did not work
I have tried Cmonex solution:
I formatted a 4 gb SD card with FAT32, then I downloaded and extracted KAISDIAGSD.zip and RUU-329-patch-nostuckinSPL.zip. I renamed RUU_Signed.nbh to KAISIMG.NBH and copied the two files to my SD card.
After a reboot nothing was changed, it still says "smart mobility" and then it dies.
So, now I am stuck, has my phone died???
Please let me now what else I can do?

Hi i have a vodafone VPx, and i hard reset it and now it is stuck on a 4 colour screen it says Made BY D-TWO
R: NONE
G: NONE
D: W6.5.X
i tried putting it i bootloader mode but i get a white screen when i press the mail button. PLEASE help me and provide me with all the links as i am a TOTAL NOOB i got my VPx yesterday so i dont know anything and this is my first WM phone. I do not know what rom it is using as i bought it with it already upgraded. please help

RECORD+CAMERA+RESET for a few seconds put this options like it:
Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES
with RECORD you move and with CAMERA change the values, at the and press MAIL.

tried that before it gets stuck on a white sreen
oh and i put my phone in boot loader mode and installed wm6.5 but it is not successful please someone send me link to wm 2003 se

EDIT 2: fixed it and updated to WM6.5.5 how?

didn't work for me, at first the phone shows only 4 colored screen, when i press "mail" button, it's stuck on white screen, no sounds no nothing, any ideas? ;/

MTTY and Error 262 when trying to instal HSPL till the Doc shows up...

Well, what happened:
i flashed hspl
i flashed Dynamics_GTX_2.4.5_WWE_Kovsky.nbh
i was happy
i realized that i cant sim-unlock here, so:
i flashed orig. spl aka RUU_Signed.nbh
and then i flashed original APP_SW_X1i_MOBCOM_AT_CDF1215-0312_KOV_R1AA019.nbh
then i sim unlocked the phone by code
then i went directly for a 28
it hang itself when i tried to do flash hspl at 17%
since then, i get everytime stuck at 0% and get the msg 262
even messing around with mtty and all different roms and programs and settings didnt lead any further.
task 28 looks like:

set up an old laptop with winXP and tried it there - you never know? - didn't work...

got a micro sd card
formated it with fat32, put the RUU_Signed.nbh on it,
renamed it to KOVSIMG.nbh, put it in the phone and started it with vol down and powerbutton to the bootloader.
hangs at loading...

come on guys, some one have to have something to say!

To be honest it does not sound promising
try this with mtty
Cmd>set 16 0
Cmd>task 14 0
Cmd>reboot
then try and flash a stock rom

when copied on the sd card, it hangs at loading
when flashed over usb, it hangs at 0% at the progressbar

if you try another hspl does it just sit at 0% ?

yep... just sitting at loading or 0% depends on the way i try to flash
i think, somehow the partitions are ****ed up,
is there some one who knows the mtty and bootloader stuff very well?

have you thought of trying one of the Android NAND roms? If you can just get it to install, you could then go back to windows mobile

do i not need hard spl for android?
does android not get flashed like a windows rom?

It's similar to windows roms yes, but there is a version (ICS 4.0.4alpha), that changes the internal partitions so as a long shot you could try this and then try flashing back to a windows rom.
