Nope not upset at all... more power to you. You are asking people to send you private messages so you can give them your affiliate link to the amazon product for the 4% profit. I have google ads on the site I own for the people who come to it outside of xda. I haven't received more than 5 hits a day from xda for 2 weeks now.. Not any problem with me... i am well off without anything coming from here, xda only brings maybe 0.5% of what I get... so NO, the google ads have nothing to do with why I have my website in a few threads and in my signature, bud. All I said was that you're advertising blatantly for-profit and you don't like that I put it out there. And I don't care fi you think I am annoying. I am annoyed by you too. But do I be such a **** about it? Nope, not at all.

We appreciate all donations to xda-developers.com, it keeps our forum online and well maintained. As a user you're allowed to ask for donations in your signature as a thank you for your hard work. However donations up front are not allowed, this forum is about sharing, not about getting paid to do something, that's what your job is for.

OK, so I made a donate button, hopefully the mods approve (it is for a good cause). Input your donation amount [for now, we are doing pennies, maybe we might increase it a little later on(now that I think about it, if 100 members donate 0.01, that's only $1.00 lol w/e)]. We'll see how this works. I'll try to list the people that donated, for (Sugar Honey Ice Tea)'s and giggles. (The forum needs to be family friendly.)
No donate button. I don't know when my bank statement will come in.
Just go to your account and send the penny as a gift. No charges and I don't need to verify.

You all know that idea, and you always thought about it. I was thinking about it as well. Now with internet it is much easier to do. Would like to know if it would be ok with the mods/admin to start a donation account where members would donate a penny (or whatever the lowest donation amount is), and then me wee how much is collected in a given amount of time...and then of course donate all of it to XDA to pay for server space, etc. What do ya'll think?​

I am pretty broke right now. lol. Well for now I'll let it run until lets say Dec. 31st, and we'll see what the final balance is. Then I might steal from it. lol

Been a long time lurker here (like to do my searching stead of posting), but decided to post here for an important cause.
So, as many of you may know from the news, the situation in Syria is quite bad. With all the atrocities and whatnot going on, I started a fundraiser to help raise money for the people in need there. I haven't shaved in probably over three years (yes I do trim from time to time). I vow to cut my beard off completely if I can raise $1500. We are currently at $815.
Once you do donate (no matter how small of an amount), please PM me here with your amount and donation ID. You have a choice of two places to donate to.

Damnit. I tried to donate the money from the "penny from everyone thread" which the evil mods locked (i kid I kid) but I can't seem to send the money without having a credit card linked. Instead I will Donate from my personal account, and maybe try to figure out how to lift the sending limit from the donation account, and will send that in as well. PM Sent.

Help me get a better life for my daughter

Hi guys i been thinking about posting for a time and i finally decided to do it so i would like to know if any of you can help us and sorry if my english is not really good. So some background, my daughter is 6 and has epilepsy she can't walk, talk or even eat by herself, it is a looong history and i would love to share it with anyone interested in it but for the sake of the forum i will keep my post short.
Anyway, her sickness is hard to control, as the 4 years since she started with it there has been no medicine in the market able to control her seizures and she has from 5 to 10 a day. We live in Mexico and all the doctors we have access to have said the same that the only thing we could do about it is to give her some quality of life for as long as she is with us and unfortunately we are unable to do a lot more as i am unemployed cause i have to take care of her and my wife has to work cause she has the medical insurance so it is hard to try for something better as our expenses aren't small and we are unable to get any help from the government for some political situations and because there's really non they can offer.
So all i am asking is if any of you can help us to get in touch or knows of an international foundation who can help us give her a better life.

I do not want to be the asshole here but should we really support someone who has not enough money to buy the glasses to take a loan to get them? I think we should help op rethink this they will be avaible in a cheaper and more consumer ready version within a year or something. but his loan will be influenceing him for at least that time. if you haven't $1500 as playmoney you should never spend it on something like that use ur money for education so that you have 1500$ as playmoney soon.

if 1500$ is nothing for you and really just playmoney you would spend on random stuff anyway the glasses could be right for you.... if it would hurt you in any way please remember they will be update with a lot more functunallity within a year you will still have the 1500$ old ones.

Because I got the N7 when it first was launched and have a 13" rMBP so I have no need for a 10" tablet.
