[Q] Laugh at this - LG Optimus 2x

Hi everyone,
as I am looking for help search engines, I ended here on this helpfull community. I got a P990 from Fido Canada
Problem:
After updating rom to nightly version from nov12, I decided to change to a version stable version which I took 7.0.2 Stable.
Once I did this, ever since the phone freezes at LG logo. Now I know and Ive read a pile load of methods on restoring with clockwork and smartflash... Anyway, im missing something here and I need someone to help me to get the phone back to default. Also, I cant find the Fido ROM anywhere.... just broken links.
I will cooperate with those that can help me out here.
Ive been searching all day.
Thanks

NVFlash results:

Getting Ready for NVFlash (~fastboot) w/Drivers

Okay,
So I suspect a few of you are going to want to jump on the NVFlash train that Paul is easing out of the station at the moment. NVFLash is the Nvidia utility for writing to the ROM on your Tegra2 phone, reading details and otherwise critical low level functions. For all intents and purposes this is akin to fastboot for many devices (although not the same as).
Whilst I'm not 100% certain I believe this is the only way to install a custom recovery on your Optimus 2x (when one is released) and therefore, if you hope to install a custom ROM, you will need to get NVFlash up and running.
Below are the simple instructions and links to the necessary files.
** WARNING **
NVFlash is a powerful utility that works at a very low level on your phone. There are few safety mechanisms built into a tool like this because it is intended for use by people with suitable training. NVFlash can not physically damage your phone but it can render it inoperable. It is unlikely to create an irrecoverable situation but it does have the power to create a situation that you can not recover from yourself requiring factory maintenance. Warranty coverage for your phone is not assured after using NVFlash. Please proceed with the use of the tool carefully and at your own risk. Neither myself nor XDA-Developers can be held accountable for any consequences from the use of NVFlash on your phone.

Get Software
Grab the NFVlash utility from here: http://djmcnz.batteryboss.org/stuff/NVFlash.zip
Extract the contents of that archive to a single directory
Grab the NVidia boot-recovery driver from here: http://djmcnz.batteryboss.org/stuff/nvmobileboot.rar
Extract the contents of that archive to a different directory
Prepare Phone
Power down phone
Remove battery
Hold VOL_DWN+VOL_UP & plug in USB connection from computer (note, your phone will not visibly respond but it will boot to APX mode quickly)
Open Device Manager in Windows and you should see "APX Device" listed with an error
If not, rinse and repeat
Install Driver
Right click on the APX device
Select 'Update driver software'
Select 'Browse my computer...'
Select 'Let me pick...'
Select 'Have disk'
Browse to directory to extracted the *driver* software to above
Select 'NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for mobile devices'
Accept any warnings, including the big red alert (you may need to disable UAC)
Now in Device Manager under 'USB Controllers' you should have an 'NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for mobile devices'
If not, uninstall the driver, reboot rinse and repeat
Testing
Navigate the the directory you extracted the NVFlash archive to
Run a harmless command such as "nvflash --sync"
You should get something back like:
Code:
Nvflash started
rcm version 0X20001
System Information:
chip name: unknown
chip id: 0x20 major: 1 minor: 3
chip sku: 0xf
chip uid: 0x0280404444803457
macrovision: disabled
hdcp: enabled
sbk burned: false
dk burned: false
boot device: emmc
operating mode: 3
device config strap: 0
device config fuse: 17
sdram config strap: 0
If so, you're good to go, now just be patient...

It says that you didn't specify/ provide bootloader.bin file in the command line. Find nvflash ROMs thread and compare the command lines.

is your phone an LG O2X or is it a T-mo G2X ?
Yeah, you just mentioned 2 phones in your post. the O2X P990, and the G2X P999. So we're guessing the problem is knowing which tools and ROMs work for your exact model.
Btw, there's a separate G2X forum if that's the phone that you have. This is exclusive for the P990.

[Q] [P990] [NVFLASH] does seem to get stuck on Windows 7 X64

Nvflash does seem to get stuck on Windows 7 X64.
I can do nvflash --sync producing the following result
Nvflash started
rcm version 0X20001
System Information:
chip name: unknown
chip id: 0x20 major: 1 minor: 3
chip sku: 0xf
chip uid: 0x0280404444803457
macrovision: disabled
hdcp: enabled
sbk burned: false
dk burned: false
boot device: emmc
operating mode: 3
device config strap: 0
device config fuse: 17
sdram config strap: 0
However when i try to flash a rom it yust says Nvflash started and hangs.
Did anyone found a solution for this problem? I read about issues with Windows 7 x64 and Nvflash, however i only have windows 7 x64 installed.
I hope i can still flash to the new partion scheme & bootloader.
I tried [ROM] Opti-ICS LGP990 CWM6 V30a | Root | Deodex | Optitool Menu | NVflash
I tried a second time. Removed battery, booted into apx again. And now it worked under Windows 7 x64.
Perhaps it is due the reconnect of the apx.
Glad you solved your problem, to me it always worked fine under x64

[Q] Unable to unbrick my bricked phone

Dear People,
I have a problem with my LG P990. It keep hanging on the LG logo with a blue bar under it. I searched the symptons and I found out it is bricked.
This happend after i hard resetted my rooted phone. I tried the following things:
1. I have tried to use Smartflash but my PC wasn't able to recognize my phone when I plugged it in while holding the Volume Down button. I installed different drivers. The ones that were provided by a website and the drivers from the LG Support website.
2. I tried to use AIO toolkit but I get the following error I couldn't find any solutions for on the internet:
======================================
The phone will display a S/W download.. screen,
while the command-window will inform you of the progress.

waiting for bootloader to initialize
bootloader downloaded successfully
Succesfully updated partition table information to C:\Users\R...
\Temp\partitions.txt
Checking partition layout...Current Partition Layout could not be detected
Operation aborted
Press any key to return to main menu
I have Windows 8.1 but also tested these 2 methods on a Windows 7 PC.
I read about another method from one of the XDA members called ProgMaq but every download gives a 404 Not Found message or my browers warns me to not go to the website because it is not safe.
What can I do to unbrick my phone?
You should try to change bootloader and follow the instructions in aio
Change SD Card file system?
