Hi guys, I have a problem, my Ace's screen isn't showing anything..
What happened:
Well, I was fine using Lewa..then after a sudden, weird colors came up, so I pulled the Battery and started the phone again..only the soft buttons made light up.
I know this is hardware because:
1. ADB picks up the device ( No errors in LOG)
2. These pictures:
Screenshot: ( Took with ADB )

Actual Screen: (Blank only BLN)
I can't take this back to repair, so have any of you encountered this problem and fixed it at home?

Update:
I opened her up, guess what..water, lots and lots of it. And most of the water is around and on the Display adapter.
So I am going to try and clean it with Alcohol and if that fails I'll buy a new screen (Cheap about 20$)
Luckily I have 2 Ace's
Is the recovery working (displaying)?
Edit: i also have an problem like this so i had flashed the rom via odin.
Now its working fine..
No, it's hardware...i'll update the OP to show you why. And no it doesn't nothing does.

Ohh i see..
But how comes the water there?
In the actual meaning that the phone is totally packed only charger socket and headphone socket is opened..
It's not water it's moist..from the air. And no everything.

Don't try washing with alcohol unless you are sure...! You might get into a bigger trouble ! Just connect your phone to the charger & let it heat up. The moisture flies off by itself.
I used to have beautiful life before. Now I'm in engineering...!

No, no. It left a residue, and yes alcohol will work. I have been using it for about 2 months now with the residue on.

My kaiser got wet last summer in the rain. The leds worked quite strangely for couple days, but works fine now.
why do people think its a good idea to turn, or keep, their phone on after dropping it in water. that is usually why it stops working.

Yess'! ahahah
Ok,
I've try some things...
led blue always fixed
1) wifi switched on = strong regular white flashes every second
at the same time
2) BT switched on = blue light emitting small flickering...as if stopped for a infinitesimal moment the blue light..
the electronic part that drives the LED is damaged, always switch on...
Someone can show me pictures of the area below the leds / speaker (photo, link)
Thank you
Yeah!
After more than 4 months my blue LED back to blink again.... incredible!!
Hiya,
I was out travelling, with my Kaiser and my three batteries - unexpectedly two of them died in humid weather, and I thought the phone had died totally too. It refused to boot up even when plugged in, or it got into a strange reboot loop.
Now back home, one battery is working as it should, but the other two are totally dead - but they seem to charge ok (in my external charger).
Has anyone seen this? Is there any point in trying to revive these battery?
Next step: check with a voltmeter if they respond, and also clean the terminals...

Are the batteries older than a year?
They are about a year old... Maybe less than that, and I have rotated between them fairly well, but they have been travelling around in my messenger bag when not in use (and there is a lot of other junk in there...)

Good idea if they've been floating around in a messy storage bag. Lithium Ion batteries come with built in protection circuitry so if, for example, a staple has shorted between the terminals then the diagnosis for the battery will probably be terminal. Cleaning them with contact cleaner or IPA and testing them in a known good phone is about the best thing you can do in an attempt to 'revive' them. Good luck.
Try connecting all of the batteries together inline, then attach them to a bit of this cable and then attach that to a kite. You'll need to wait for a thunderstorm to fly the kite but with any luck, lighting shall strike the kite, thus recharging the batteries.

I just cleaned the terminals of the batteries with a dry q-tip, and that did it, back to life, and working ok! (they have seen quite intensive usage, so they are not 100%, but now they work as they did before)
Hi guys.
Today i wanted to take a picture of something and realized the preview looks strange. At first i tought it was just to dark and enabled flash.
But after trying to take a scenery picture i realized that something definitly was off.

Thats when i made the obvious and took a look at the back of the phone to see if the camera was dirty.
Well, i sure was surprised!
(that metal ring is just for the smal magnetic objectives.)
What do you think ? is that a Water dmg? Did anything like this happen to anyone before ?
P.S yes i know... there are a lot of black dots... -.- should RMA that thing...
Ya i think it's water.. Have you tested it in water

you mean taking an underwater picture? did few times before, but not when this happened, and not afterwards.
Then water must have leaked into it some how and because of the heat water is getting evaporated. Put it under dhal for a day or teo while al d chaging headset ports are open.

It's gone !
it really were just waterdrops, and the evaporated over time. So it's back to normal now! phew....

Picture shows that your back glass is clearly lifted. Just a heads up before you wet the phone again.
My cousin had this problem and it is technical and opened to dry (clean)

How long did it take to dissapear? Any way to speed up the process.
Bro ,
First question where did you get that camera ring [metal one] from , and how did you stick it .
Coming to your question , Did u try an hair dryer ? Well, you can try to open it up and wipe it off and stick back in with glue.
That's glued.
For camera lens attachment, about 10$ on eBay.
Hair dried is a bad idea. To much heat is bad for battery. Better to let it stay in a bowl of dry rice.
If you do nothing it takes about 1-3 days to fully disappear.

I keep getting these mhl wakelocks that never used to happen, I changed back to a rom I knew this never happened on but guess what? It is happening! Dmesg says mhl usb detected over and over and I'm getting no deep sleep at all. Is my usb port shot?

Well on every ROM I'm getting output for mhl issues in dmesg, sometimes its shown as "suspend_backoff", I get other strange behavior on cm ROMs too such as screen refusing to sleep and charging lights staying on. I'll get some screenies when I have some good stats, I'm sure its hardware because I'm alone in this, and it happens even before I restore any apps

And here is dmesg when this issue strikes:

Solved, I needed to bend the middle pins back up to the centre, I think they were getting interference from the outer metal of my usb

I was just roaming around on my phone and out of no where this happened....

I'm not sure what could cause that problem. I would boot into recovery or fastboot to see if the problem still exists. If it does, this would lead me to believe that it is a hardware issue. To be sure, try installing a different ROM.

It is happening in recovery mode as well.
I'm tempted to say it's a hardware issue since it appears in Recovery too.
Did you ever open up your phone to replace the battery?

yup, 2 months ago.
Maybe open it up and re-seat the cables?
did you get any moisture in there? or drop your phone? it's obviously a hardware issue if it shows up in recovery too. Looks like you busted the lcd display somehow. You'll probably need to buy a new screen.
Definitely a hardware issue. Sorry man.

You can use swappa as an avenue to sell it if you don't want to deal with personal information being given through messaging on here.
