Voltage Control's option only allows for the changing of CPU governor and I/O scheduler. There's no voltage control for me to undervolt. Any other alternatives or is there a workaround?
On V28C Ice Cream Sandwich (flashed with SFT).
Magic.*snort* *snort*
But I guess its not possible on a stock Rom other than Zeus

You also need a kernel, that supports uv... so no uv kernel, no uv wait for a few weeks and we ll have new kernel sources and then we ll get uv, ov, uc and oc

I see, i'm using the stock kernel hence there's no options for it. If I flash back to CM10 I believe the kernel will have the options of adjusting voltage opened up to Voltage control?

Nope stock cm10 kernel also doesnt have support afaik. But there soon will be some i guess, as soon as we have p970 ics sources

I flashed Onecosmic's ICS RC3 and Have downloaded NStools from market but so far all the frequencies I've tried for Overclocking are not stable. So I was wondering if someone has succeded in overclocking the rom with stability could share their values here. All the stuff, live oc,processor frequency and voltages.
Hi. Have you read this guide ?
why do you want to oc, first wait til there is a stable version of ICS ;-)
Im running Onecosmic's ICS RC3 and allready now its fast

Ya I've read that and I've triead almost all frequencies shbmitted their and i can't get a stable configuration on any of them. And that is for glitch kernel and Onecosmic's RC3 is using Platypus so i thought that maybe I can get some different settings that will work. Anyways, thanx.
Do you have problems with oc only in ICS? Maybe try another kernel! I used RC2.11 with a few different kernels, but a little oc (1200+5%live oc) always worked for me.
I overclocked it to 1460

So from what i understand u have not used live oc and have just oc'ed ur processor?
End result???
So did you finally succeed? I have tried quite a few voltages, and the maximum my phone has stayed up with any OC/Custom voltage setting is a few minutes.

Hello, mine is not a technical question (i know how to undervolt), I'd like to know what ICS kernel allows me to undervolt the cpu. Can't find one..

Tegrak app should allow that, it injects a module into any kernel (most are supported)
thank you, but it does not work with criskelo.. what kernel do you suggest?
Try voltage control.

I have installed Voltage control and setcpu, no one works if kernel doesn't support undervolting.
hi guys. i need to know the link of a possible overclock kernel to install on my lg optimus dual with cm10 because from the cyanogenmod i can overclock max at 1000GHz ( i dont know if theres a way to overclock >1000GHz without changing kernel)and how to install it. thank you all!!
there are no kernels that support overclocking yet. have to wait for someone to release a kernel that supports overclocking.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
I'd love to have 1000ghz too.

it is min 216 max 1000. its built in. goto performance menu..
Yeah 1000mhz is just not enough. Old phone, needs a boost.

The OC Kernel will be fine, but I think current kernel is still enough for smooth CM...
Tips: Delete some sys app with Titanium (you will have more Ram and Rom)...
Absolutely ,even i flash gapp of ics so i have more space in system

Hi
I have install setCpu on my touchpad (64G) with the latest nightly (cm-9-20121111-NIGHTLY-tenderloin)
It seems to work fine and stats tells that i am up to 1.5GHZ.
I have seen on the forum the GamerZ kernel tuned to OC the touchpad.
Question is simple, is there a benefit from installing this kernel or setCpu is enough, or both are meant to live together ?
Thanks
Well, there is the GPU OC, which really helps with fps if your TP can handle it...

With the GamerZ kernel you'll be able to OC to 2.something ghz and the GPU will be overclocked
SetCPU is used to adjust the frequencies.
i have in my phone the lowest cpu freq that i can choose is 254 and i want to change it to another one,how to do that?
If u have rooted ur phone then flash a kernel corresponding to your ROM (software) then install an app that control CPU freq like nofrills and then u can do whatever u want

i am currently using trickster mod to change cpu setting, but the lowest freq i can choose is 254 and i want a lower one,how to do that?
By flashing a kernel that supports lower frequenties.

You can only edit freq table by editing the kernel. If you don't know how to edit/compile kernel, I think you'd better try to flash a kernel that already has the frequencies you want. Take a look at redux, G11 or XS if you have ICS + sense. Read descriptions for further information and check if your ROM is supported

This. It has to be done in the kernel before compiling it
