i have in my phone the lowest cpu freq that i can choose is 254 and i want to change it to another one,how to do that?
If u have rooted ur phone then flash a kernel corresponding to your ROM (software) then install an app that control CPU freq like nofrills and then u can do whatever u want

You can only edit freq table by editing the kernel. If you don't know how to edit/compile kernel, I think you'd better try to flash a kernel that already has the frequencies you want. Take a look at redux, G11 or XS if you have ICS + sense. Read descriptions for further information and check if your ROM is supported

This. It has to be done in the kernel before compiling it

Tegrak app should allow that, it injects a module into any kernel (most are supported)
thank you, but it does not work with criskelo.. what kernel do you suggest?
Try voltage control.

I have installed Voltage control and setcpu, no one works if kernel doesn't support undervolting.

Custom roms already have the ability to overclock... Either go under settings or download setcpu.

If your custom doesn't support oc, ask the developer for help lol. Alternatively, you could flash another kernel that supports oc. But you gotta get it right.

I recommend to set the max cpu frequency around 729-806mhz, minimal to 245mhz and SmartAssV2 for the governor. I'ts fast enough and the battery live is good. If you set the cpu frequency to the max, your device will become unstable and the battery drain faster.
I'm just giving recommendations. So, everything is up to you.
(P.S. I'm new on XDA )

First of all, welcome to XDA...
My OC is set at:
Min: 245MHz
Max: 729MHz
Governor: SmartAssV2
IO Scheduler: Deadline
SystemUI and stuff doesn't lag, but large apps lags sometimes but it's acceptable.
Voltage Control's option only allows for the changing of CPU governor and I/O scheduler. There's no voltage control for me to undervolt. Any other alternatives or is there a workaround?
On V28C Ice Cream Sandwich (flashed with SFT).
Magic.*snort* *snort*
But I guess its not possible on a stock Rom other than Zeus

You also need a kernel, that supports uv... so no uv kernel, no uv wait for a few weeks and we ll have new kernel sources and then we ll get uv, ov, uc and oc

I see, i'm using the stock kernel hence there's no options for it. If I flash back to CM10 I believe the kernel will have the options of adjusting voltage opened up to Voltage control?

you overclocked it too much, do a factory reset and try lower values, for me best working setting is:
min:320mhz
max:729mhz
governor: ondemand

Actually 748 is the max safe value. Some kernels (official CM7 kernel) can handle 787, but it's not a good idea.

he must have overclocked both min and max frequency at higher level
when you should only increase max frquency
This is not Suave Kernel thread.
I just want to share the DoomLoRD kernel compiled for our devices. For Unlocked bootloaders only
For features please refer to the original kernel thread here.
Changes from DoomLorD's kernel
1. doubleTap2Wake and Sweep2Wake are both COMPLETELY reverted as they are causing random screen freezes
2. Ramdisk and kernel config changes for ZR

Gpu clocks are not sticking changing back to 400 everytime when I set higher frequency and run gfx benchmark the gpu clock changes back to 400 and even thermal management Is not working because gpu is getting underclocked even when I set the temperature to throttle to 110 degrees
Excuse me but this work or not ?
