November 28th orders - Nexus 4 General

This is going to be a thread for those of you who ordered a Nexus 4 on November 28th or later. I've seen some others for the 13th and such, but none for the 28th. So post here if you get a shipping confirmation email and tracking code
FYI, specify where you are in the shipping chain, and if you got a 8GB or a 16GB.
How about Level 1 for those whose order said 1-2 weeks, Level 2 for those whose order said 2-3 weeks, Level 3 for those whose odder said 3-4 weeks and so on and so forth

Probably should have had 8GB and 16GB options. FWIW, mine is backordered... 8GB
Don't know. Didn't receive a email yet from google about backorder..
Nor do I know if it has been shipped...no email from Google whatsoever.

I ordered an 8gb model so it's not limited to the 16gb's and I ordered from Canada if anyone cares to know.
Not the worst thing in the world, at least I get free shipping.

Same. Rep told me everyone got the backordered email so I'm all kinds of confused. If they credit me the shipping and I still get the device by Monday I'll be happy though!

Same here, just called the CSR said it will ship by tomorrow. According to her they are not shipping in any order, but the last ones that were ordered are the ones being put on back order. I ordered 11:36 am EST.

yes this is exactly how my order is, maybe I'll call em up. I already changed my order on BSE for the cheaper shipping option though.
Looks like you're just as incompetent as Google for not including "neither." ****ing joke. This poll is less useful than Google's CS
Mine shipped out today (8GB), when I click on the tracking info it says its 'in transit'. Yay!

Ok I just got off the phone with one of the supervisors of CSR, who has also ordered a NEXUS 4 and is VERY bummed out too about this email. Ok the orders ARE being shipped out as they were ordered. EARLIER first. "Nicole" told me that they were told to say 3 weeks as a guesstimate because Google is trying to mass send sections of orders out. What she told to imagine is that the shipping process is a cube right? So they cut it up in to bits and send sections of orders out by earliest order time. So here is the story she says that all ordered phones hopefully are completely out by 3 weeks tops. I hope Nicole is right because she did sound angry and sad, also saying how she was one of the many disappointed on how google handled this situation.

Google CSR excuses/reasons - for the Lulz

Had to create this thread, want to hear the excuses/reasons you got for not shipping.
My story.
Me - Calling about the shipping of my 2 nexus 4 16gb's.
CSR - Oh Ok, so did you hmmm...I can't remember what I wanted to ask ...hmm..yeah did you get a backorder email.
Me - Backorder ..nopes (I did get one but I wanted to see the response).
CSR - Oh Ok, let me pull up your profile (asks for email address), I see that your order was placed and got cancelled and reactivated within a matter of minutes and hence did not make it to the shipping department.
Me - Ok (laughing inside) but how is it possible that it got cancelled and reactivated on it's own
CSR - I don't know but that's what it shows here, but I'll go ahead and send your order to the shipping department and you will get it ASAP
Me - What do you mean by ASAP, today, tomorrow , day after , after Thanksgiving, after Black Friday.
CSR - it'll ship out tomorrow.
Me - Ok, cool (was at work and got something critical so did'nt have time to have more fun).
CSR - Ok, do you mind filling a survey after the call
Me - Yeah Sure
CSR - ummm..never mind the survey link is down , you have a great day sir.
Me - You too.
We hang up.
My first ever call to a Google made me LOL, the order cancelled and reactivated on it's own, WTF ...I thought they had world class coders out there at Google.
Share your experience and maybe we can have some fun in these times of misery waiting for the order to be processed.

Rest assured that Nexus 4 orders are being delivered based on the order in which they were received. Due to overwhelming demand we sold out of Nexus 4 extremely quickly.

Nexus 4 orders on or after 3rd DEC! 5 - 6 weeks shipping...

This thread is for all those who booked their nexus 4 16GB on or after 3rd of DEC which sports a 5-6 weeks shipping time. How may of you got the confirmation email from google? Do you think that the device will actually reach us before 5-6 weeks?

Well you cant really make new threads for shipping.. I know the old thread is getting really congested but what the Mod's say goes... This will probably be closed as soon as he sees it. You should read the rules on the stickied thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2004241

Will there be one this month? I need an Eight GB asap. I live in Canada. My current phone broke down on Christmas so I have no phone

I hope not. Its only a guess but it seems that the UK Play Store has been receiving shipments around every 3 weeks or so. Nov 13 = Launch, Dec 4th = Launch 2, Dec 20th = Mass shipping emails go out to huge number of people on XDA UK Thread with guys taking delivery starting the following day 21/12 through to [on mass] 24/12.
For now, it seems that rather than taking delivery of stock and just putting up for sale on Play Store and shipping out to first orders - google took the 3rd delivery and held back to ship outstanding orders like they SHOULD have done with the 2nd batch.
I say again this is just my guess - as like everybody else I have nothing but an opinion.

Costco Sprint Pre-Order

I just noticed that the expected processing date is May 3rd. Does anyone have prior experience with Costco pre-ordering? Any chance for an early shipment?
When is Best Buy expected to ship?
At this point your best bet is going to be in store on Saturday.

All these best buy,Costco will always delay...obviously the carries are the first to get stock and ship.

Lets hope some retail stores actually get the S4 on Saturday. Since this announcement my confidence of walking into a store on sat and buying a S4 has been taken down a peg.
Full disclosure: I "pre-ordered" at a sprint store in Chicago.
Costco Shipping Update
I just updated my shipping address and credit card info with Costco. I switched to American Express to get extra year's warranty in addition to the $99 one is my understanding. But more importantly while on the phone the very nice young lady I asked if she had any updated shipping information.
She asked me for which phone and I told her the Black S4. She said the earliest processing would be May 3rd and that shipping would be on May 6th. Now I can set my expectations appropriately.
Black S4 Is Not Available
I just looking on the website and it looks like the Black S4 is no longer available for order.
White Frost is now sold out also.
I ordered last Thursday night but still no change in order status.
I was told mine would be processed April 30th and arrive may 2nd

So if you do not want it moved there then do not select "yes this is a question"

I hope this is the case. I sent an email yesterday seeing if I could get some kind of verification for when the orders will be processed. I got nothing. I have considered cancelling and seeing if I can get telesales to give me a better price. I'm sure I would no issue getting sprint to waive the $36 activation fee regardless of where I ordered. I've never had any trouble in the past.
But today is the 30th and haven't heard anything from costco....fingers crossed.

I'm starting to think that it's not going to get here by Friday the 3rd now.
I called them yesterday after not receiving any replies to various emails and the girl that answered me seemed very disinterested in answering any of my questions. I got the cookie cutter answer of "it's being processed the 3rd or before" which is basically a screw you nothing's getting done until the 3rd and not shipping until the 6th at the minimum. I'm kinda regretting buying through Costco and it's probably the last time I order from them as well.

I'm with you. I work in the service industry and if we treated our customers like with the same sort of disinterest, we'd get our asses handed to us.
Here is their response to an inquiry I made to costco asking about availability and my response back. I don't think it's too much to ask of them to keep us in the loop on when the s4 will be available for shipping:

Is it possible to let me know if "the device has launched" to costco? "On or before 5/3" states that it is possible that the device could possibly "lauch" to costco and be available to ship prior to 5/3. I am out of town later next week and am hoping that the device will be delivered prior to Tuesday as I paid for the upgrading shipping option.
I'm just trying to get a better idea on the availability of the device thru costco in order to figure out if I need to provide and arrange special delivery instructions to the courier. I guess we are the only few that got suckered by Costco... the silent uninformed wait is dreadful.
I am very surprised by all of this. Costco typically prides itself on strong customer service. I realize that this is being handled by a third party (contracted out by Costco), but Costco still is involved with this as it has their brand name on it.
I feel pretty lame too. I thought I was one of the "lucky" ones to get an order in before they sold out and now I realize that maybe I wasn't so lucky after all.
I don't mind waiting a week at all...
The accessories were free. (While not the best and the screen protector looks like you have to trim it yourself)
And they didn't charge pre-discount tax.
So instead of paying $320 after tax, we paid $228. Saving $100 for 1 week of waiting? Yes. I will do that.

i couldn't get free activation from customer service, so tack on another $36 I'll be saving.
Came out to $209 instead of $316
I probably won't use the accessories either, except that 3-in-1 charger if it's >1.5 Amps. so that's a $10 bonus.
